Vegas. Well doing the Shows, Pool Lounging and Attrations this trip. Was there back in 2001 and did the downtown cheap gambling thing. Now this time taking a few friends and want to stay somewhere nice on the strip, with a hint of luxuary, nice pool. and easy public transportation access. Looking to spend about 80 bucks a night for a room.

MidWeek...you have a pretty good chance at:

Mandalay Bay - Great Pool Area

Monte Carlo - Wave Pool and Lazy River

New York New York - Good location, evil togo ride!

MGM Grand - Classy, but too giant

Mirage - More old school, but still nice and tropical

The Monte Carlo has a great location on the strip IMO. Circus Circus isnt far, nrr the huge mnm place that has a huge arcade. If your going for the ultimate pool, then i say Mandalay Bay. It has 3 or 4 pools, a wave pool, and a great lazy river. Newyork Newyork has alot of things to offer with the multi layer arcade tyoe place they have with ME on top, but i dislike the hotel itself.Monte Carlo or Mandaly Bay is where i like, but its up to you. I would also go tp buffalo bills if you have the chance. Desperado is awesome.

Planing a trip to Vegas in April. Any Hotel ideas? on Strip. cheap , but nice and going mid week.

Wow. We'll be there in April, too, for my 30th birthday.

We've never been there. Why go to Vegas when we already live in Reno??

I'm sure we'll have lots of fun. We'll be staying at the Circus Circus, right next door to the Adventuredome.

The guy who said your staying at Circus Circus, I had a horrible experience there. The service was bad, we didn't find any restaurants appealing, its infested with young kids, and worst of all, after reserving a non smonng room we ended up with a smoking one. The adventure dome was the ONLY good thing. I find the Monte Carlo is alot better, it just doesnt offer the amusements other hotels have. In our last two trips we have stayed in the Excalibur and The Orleans, and both were great. I dont have much to say about other hotels recently though. Just both of you have a good time!

O yeah, there is a hooters hotel now!

I ate at a Hooters once. I didn't care for the food at all. Yuck.

As for Circus Circus, well, we sometimes go over and play the midway games at the one in Reno, since it's only five minutes down the road from us. Of course there are going to kids there--that's part of its family appeal.

Yeah, with younger kids Circus Circus is great. Tons to do for them. The Adventure Dome was great though. The Monte Carlo has great food,a nd i really love the sports bar/grill they have. Great Place. Have fun you guys!

Circus Circus is AWFUL. Worst. Hotel. Ever. I'd rather stay Downtown!!

Yea heard that. I think 5 or 6 years ago when i was a little more a party monster i might not have minded the crazyness so much. I think that when you finally settle down, get a great job and have partner for life. You kinda wanna slow down and enjoy a few nicer things. Vomit on the carpet at Circus Circus is not one of them.

Circus Circus is a good excuse to get the strippers off your case at the finer Gentlemen's establishments. Example:

Sasha: "Wanna dance?"

Larry: "no thanks"

Sasha: "Come on big boy why not? Where are you staying in town?"

Larry: "Circus Circus"

Sasha: "Oh!" (gets up and runs to the next available lap)

names have been changes to protect the innocent
