MF310ryb
I just read on Screamscape Geauga Lake is now removing their First Generation Free Fall tower does anyone know how many of these are left world wide? I know of SFGADV, SFMM, CP and I think one of the SF Texas parks still has one. Are their more out there it seems their a dying breed.
Carnage
Demon Drop at CP is for sale as well, so it's going as well as GL's version.

rollermonkey
There are a few here in Japan. Â Off the top of my head: Tokyo Summerland and Nagashima Spa Land each still have one and I saw at least one more somewhere... Â Chris B
eBen
Been wondering if theres any updated news for these rides  Are they going to soon just be native to Japan or are they endangered there as well?
asr
There are atlest two in Japan, one at Nagashima Spaland and one at Himeji Central Park I believe. Cedar Point's Demon Drop is still operating, although probably not for long, and SFMM's Freefall is still existant... Although I'm not sure if SFMM has it running consistantly. Â I'm still kicking myself for not riding Demon Drop while I was at Cedar Point back in May
Goliath513
Rumor has it that SFMM's is not in the budget to operate in 2008. I'm going to miss that ride. It is arguably the best flat in the park.
asr
That sucks... I hope Demon Drop stays around for a few more years.
eBen
same here - to a novice like myself it seams a good a reason to visit (in a rush) as any of the coasters. Â I've seen a video of the mechanism of it all going on and that also looks very sadly yet blissfully cool to me
matteocrepaldi
There's one called Hollywood Tower at Movieland in ITALY!

WillMontu
Correction: There was one at Six Flags Over Texas! Â I've ridden the SFOG one (that one has since gone). The ride is okay, but it's the ending when the ride vehicles flip back upright that is a bit clunky. They're worth doing once.
Goliath513
I repeatedly rode Freefall at SFMM both times I was there this year because I know it's only a matter of time before that is removed. I can't see them removing it for a new attraction as it's underneath Riddler's Revenge and there would be no room. I can see them just leaving it closed to rust away like they are doing with Flashback.
Drumline99
I liked the ride...it was just a little too loud in my opinion...well the one at SFOG was...but they have taken out the Freefall at SFOG. I think it was removed this past off-season. Â Off-topic- in place of the Freefall at SFOG I think they need to put 1 or 2 GOOD flat rides or a Vertical Velocity coaster. lol...just thought I would share that with yall...ha
Canobie Fan
Beto Carrero World in Brazil still has a first gen... As well as a 350 foot second gen Intamin tower.
Moose
^ You know you are only furthering your unwanted reputation as walking "flat" ride database.
astroworldfan1
Does Intamin still make parts for the 1st gen tower? Or do you have to get them off a defunct tower?
