My Christmas was great as I really enjoyed the day off from work, spending time with family, and of course the gifts!

I ended up with:

-A 32" Vizio 1080 HD TV

-Samsung Blu-ray player

-Lots of Blu-rays (The Dark Knight, Wall-E and Twister just to name a few)

-An iHome

-North Face jacket

-The Tales of Beedle the Bard book (as a joke from my brother)

-Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii (Split with my brother)

-A hilarious Jesus/Mii shirt from my brother

-Lots of money and iTunes/Wal-Mart gift cards

Now I'm just waiting to use my TV to watch Lost in HD come January!

I got more this year than I usually do but that is probably because most of what I asked for was something small. I got:

-A new robe

-2 Computer Games (Portal and LEGO Batman)

-3 Movie DVDs (Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

-4 Movie Soundtracks (Pink Panther (2006), Dark Knight, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Quantum of Solace)

-5 TPR DVDS (Coaster Expeditions 1,3,4,5 and 10)

-$175 in cash

-Candy

I still haven't celebrated Christmas with my Dad's side of the family (will do so over New Year's) but he usually doesn't get me much in the way of fun stuff (like above).

You're 17. Also, he wouldn't be your brother-in-law until they were married, right? Or did a current brother-in-law propose to a different sister? Man, they sure do things different up there in Canaba.

My husband and I agreed to only buy each other two gifts and spend the rest on our girls. He got me a digital photo album, and a new set of baking pans (both of which I picked out). I got him the second season of Star Trek the Original Series, Remastered, and the HBO miniseries John Adams.

I got several things from my parents, but nothing extravagant. We kind of went low-key on grown-up gifts and focused on the kids.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and holiday season and that 2009 shapes up to be a good one for everyone!
