cfc
If they launched you from a slingshot on the moon, would you ever come back down?
rcjp
^Well, I suppose that if you were on a normal slingshot you would come back down, it just would take a lot longer. However, in theory, if you were on a extra powerful one you could rise enough to escape the moon's gravity field and wouldn't come back. You would have to be launched with an incredible speed, though.
TPDave
I'm now imagining a ghetto carnival on the moon with coasters and reverse bungees, I wanna go! Actually, what would a skycoater on the moon be like? I'm guessing a lot more sedate!
larrygator
You could use the bungee cords to keep riders attached to the Tagada
cfc
Here are some carnies you might meet on the moon. They're probably more pleasant than most carnies on Earth.

traincrossin
36 pages of discussion later, and the question still stands. What would rides be like on the moon??? I think the real question here is which moon are we talking about?
cfc
36 pages of discussion later, and the question still stands. What would rides be like on the moon??? I think the real question here is which moon are we talking about? Indeed. I imagine there would be major differences in rides on Earth's moon as compared to those on one of Jupiter's moons. rolercstrluvr
I remember one time, I went through this entire thread looking for BOOBS...on the MOON!!! I had somehow failed to notice the Page 27 indicator. Question is, why did it take us 27 pages before we thought of that.
Meteornotes
^That's a good question. I suppose we occasionally fail as a species. But we're also failing by not keeping this amazing thread on the first page! So, does the moon have the power to make any coaster better because it is on the moon? Like, would a boomerang be worth marathoning on the moon? dt

Meteornotes
This thread should never be off the front page! And since there's a lunar eclipse coming up, one might wonder if that would effect rides...ON THE MOON?!? dt
