HAJiME
With so little track, i would have bloody hoped it was finished by now. Dunno about this coaster. The twist and the seating are really interesting and i love the way it goes over the pathways. It's got an unusual height to it. Just sort of meanders over the ground at an odd height. It just seems... a shame that - yet again - it's gimmic and lets just forget about the rest of the design. That's not necisarally making it a bad coaster, it just.. seems... a bit
thomas2
I don't know about this coaster. It seems fun to just cruise at that speed over the park, but the lack of height is a bummer. I hope the ride-experience will be good. It also appears to run though some nicely themed areas. I hope it doesn't 'pollute' those areas!
Wishmaster
^ It looks like a part of the lake is ruined, but the rest of the ride is located "behind the scenes."
Janster
This spring I'm going for one week to Salou. With my mebership of Efteling I can also go in and out Port Aventura as often as I like. One week hanging up side down in Dragon Khan and Furious Baco... I can't wait!
verticalzero
Website says "fastest coaster in Europe" for Furious Baco. "Stealth" has this record for speed for Europe, that's why it was tweeked to go 80mph in less than 2 sec's. Furious Baco does it in 3.5 sec's which is fast enough esp with that seating arrangment. Looks a bit a short coaster How fast in seconds do "Shuttle" (e.g. Turbine at Walibi Belgium) coasters get launched from 0-50mph..? I have never been on a "Rocket" coaster, they don't appeal to me that much.

"Stealth" has this record for speed for Europe, that's why it was tweeked to go 80mph in less than 2 sec's. Furious Baco will still be fastest in Europe when it opens. Furious Baco will be around 88mph and Stealth will still be 80mph. Some new pictures:

matteocrepaldi
^ I'm pretty sure that spring starts the 21st of March and finishes the 21st of June. Back to the coaster; it looks awesome!! I've never seen in person the lake area so I really can't tell if it has been ruined.
neovortex2k
What?? Spring is the 1st of February until the 30th of april. The coaster looks cool can't wait to ride it and the ball coaster just a few hours away when it's open.
SharkTums
There are many definitions of 'Spring'. I think Matteo was going with the scientific definition. Many parks have their own 'seasons'.

Virdu_
Oh... WingWalker... I was waiting for a giant trains similar to X or Eejanaika... I think they're a bit little, but the sensation will be interesting, but I thought the trains were going to be biggers... About the rest of the photos, I like the photo of the supports in the lake... Maybe they're going to theme this horrible part of the coaster

Bigger don't mean better...look at how many problems X's trains have had from day one with the horrible concept plain Black ones they never used..LOL. the one's they used in a media press event as a float like in a parade.. http://www.twistedrails.com an old site has pics of them.. Seriously this ride looks simply smashing! but I do not think the trains need to be bigger... the seats are closer to the central point so they are MUCH better on balance. Anyone remember these? coastermaniac1
It is due to open late May. The opening date has not been announced yet. I found 2 news articles about Furious Baco. I used a translater on them both. The good news is that it will maintain a speed of over 60mph/100kph through the whole course so it will be fast through the inline and last turn etc. Its average speed is over 60mph. Appointment:Port Adventure presents/displays a hunting that accelerates until the 135 km/h in only three seconds Port Adventure has presented/displayed east Friday its new attraction for this season. One is a hunting that accelerates until the 135 km/h in only three seconds. The total route is of 860 meters, that are crossed in about 25 second and at the 100 an average speed superior to km/h. The thematic park will return to open to doors the 23 of March, but the hunting will not be put into operation until May. Appointment: Port Adventure will inaugurate in May a hunting of 15 million euros The amusement park Port Adventure will inaugurate the next month of May, two months after the beginning of the season, a hunting of fast acceleration and with flat route that has cost 15 million euros. In the work visit made today, the person in charge of press, Almudena Mazuelos, explained that this attraction, “unique in the world”, supposes “a great adrenalin unloading”, since happens of 0 to 135 kilometers per hour in only 3.5 seconds. Located in the area of the Mediterranean, the new attraction, with one more an acceleration faster than the one of a single-seater of races, maintains the speed of more than 100 km/h throughout the route, of about 25 seconds and horizontal, unlike traditional huntings. Throughout the 860 meters of route, the visitor will happen level with buildings, of the Lake of the Mediterranean, between trees and rocks and through diverse elements, which will cause that the acceleration sensation is “more intense and powerful”. In addition, the seats of the trains are located outside the fuselage, so that the passengers have the sensation to be suspended in the air. According to Fernando Lampreave, mechanical engineer of the project, in the design and construction of this attraction has participated around 450 people. As for the capacity, the passengers will distribute themselves in three trains with capacity for 24 people, which supposes that hourly 1,600 people will be able to raise. For the next season, the one of the 2008, Port Adventure he hopes to inaugurate the three predicted golf courses and 2009 convention center and another hotel of 4 stars. For the next season, the park hopes to surpass the 3.9 million visitors of the 2006. I found this small picture with it: I hope they put a lot of trees or something around that part of the ride.
