Coaster19
I can't believe we are debating over three letters written on a park song. LOL - ok enough of that. Does anyone know where Jet Scream used to stand? If this has been answered, sorry looked for it and must have missed it.

SteveStL
Jet Stream stood where Batman is today. and Jet Scream was located where the Super Sports car track used to be.
prozach626
I'd trade Boomerang to have the Mule-Go-Round back.
Vonni
I would have rather received Viper (Jet Scream) back from Astroworld when it closed than to have received Boomerang
prozach626
^^ Actually, that would have been great! That would be challenging for marketing, though.
HWFan
Some great news from Dave today: -Batman is being painted this off season. -They are doing work on the parking lot. We'll see how much it does. -The facades by Hannibarrels have been completely torn down. The Ninja really dominates the landscape. I saw some pictures on Dave's phone, and it looks great! -The Season Pass Processing Center is being shut down. All processing will take place at the front gate where all the turnstiles have been torn out. Passes will no longer have pictures, just the biometrics. While the season pass processing center is very near and dear to my heart, this year will be extremely interesting from an admissions aspect. The worst part of season passes was waiting in a 2 hour plus line during Fright Fest to get the passes processed.

Zcev5454
Have Hannibarrels been restored to working order? No? They're being completely removed and scrapped for Tsunami Soaker going in it's former place this season.
StlSS
Very cool with the Season pass change, without photos it should speed up process big time and hopefully making the renew process much less of a pain. Thanks for the info HW Im always lurking this thread keep us posted! Any ideas if batman will get a different color palette or sticking to previous color? I wonder what will eventually go in the Season Pass processing building in the future. I would assume most likely a Gift Shop, or some kind of store I really hope Batman retains its current color scheme. I'm not a fan of the different colors several other Parks in the chain have painted theirs, but if it were to go a different color, yellow would fit the theme better than the sky blue at SFOG and SFMM. gerstlaueringvar
^ How about dark purple, dark blue and silver? This would give a mysterious feeling I think.
Vonni
^ I do like that! And it would be fairly unique to our Park!
HWFan
When it comes to Batman, they are going to stick with black. It looks dark and cool, and it's the paint color that lasts the longest from a practical standpoint. With the new Tsunami Soaker area, they are trying to turn it into kind of a mini Warf themed area. They even saved six Hannibarrels to turn into benches in that area. Is that just for passes being processed this year? My family got their gold passes during Fright Fest and they had pictures on them. Your passes will just scan as usual. This system is really gonna speed things up enormously in the long run. The old processing building itself will still be part of admissions. I'm not sure exactly, but it will probably still be used in a small capacity to possibly sell dining passes or upgrades. prozach626
That's good news for the Batman paint job. Do you know if they are doing any much needed touch up work to the queue?

They are cleaning up the queue. I'm not sure how much, though. One thing that Dave did mention was building a shortcut for days when the line is shorter. However, they are going to find a way that an employee will actually have to lock it so that mischievous guests can't use it to line jump.

Woodie Warrior
This is all great news for Batman. Currently, the queue looks like complete crap and is absurdly long. Only once have I ever seen the line go into the "park" themed area, so that shortcut is a great idea In my opinion, no themeing is better than horrible looking themeing. For example, when the park removed the cop car, the Styrofoam hydrant and bricks were just left sitting there. There is no reason they couldn't have taken 30 seconds to grab the stuff and throw them away. Instead they leave them there to rot for two or three seasons. That queue has been too long for a long time. I hope they clean up that whole area really nice. Seeing old themeing rotting away and not just being taken down just pisses me off. Batman was awesome when it first opened, easily the best coaster in the state. I remember being awed by the themeing in the queue area the first time I rode it. We either went opening year, 1995, or maybe it was 1996. They were advertising heavily down here though, and offering half price admission to entice us hill folk to make the three hour voyage to the other side of the state. Batman is still my favourite coaster at SFStL, and it's been a pity the way current management has let a lot of things go. It seems they may finally be taking an interest in making the park a nice place to visit again. Now all they need is a decent children's area. Theirs hardly compares to SDC's Grand Expo and Half Dollar Holler and WoF's Planet Snoopy and Dinosaurs Alive. If we're going to spend $200 going to a theme park, it's got to have something for everyone, including my 2 year old.

The park's management has been doing great, except for a few ride queues such as Batman. Corporate gives the park a budget, and SFSTL does a great job with what they get. It costs money to get kiddie rides and fix up ride queues, and Six Flags doesn't always give STL the money they need.
