Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread

Jetscream was located on what was the Super Sports Cars ride, which is now currently the home of Batman.

Ninja was installed in a spot that was the original home to one half of the River King Runaway Mine Train - which is now Big Bad John in Arkansas.

The year that Ninja was installed (1989), Jetscream was moved to Astroworld and renamed the Viper. The Jetscream plot of land was left vacant ride-wise, until Batman was installed in 1995. As someone mentioned earlier, they moved a round tent to that location, which was home to "The Carrot Club" (meal and show) and also a frequent dance party location as well. Wasn't there a local TV show filmed here? Anyone remember the name?

Thank you for the info!

Rode Jet Scream 5 times on opening day. Worked in the sit down restaurant (DJ's Diner) that is now Johnny Rockets. DJ's Diner opened in 1984 same year as Rail Blazer accident. DJ's Diner had tables from the Admiral. The Admiral was run by Six Flags for a couple of years before it was converted to a casino. I used to ride the Admiral when I was a kid, but never when it was docked and run by Six Flags. The food stand by Jet Scream was Potato Patch and had fresh cut fries. I remember all the teens and tweens would hang out on the weekend at the dance club. I think I worked in every food location in the park during my 4 summers there.

I also was fortunate enough to ride the Viper at Astroworld during a work trip. Astroworld turned out to be really fun mix of unique rides. Can you say Ultratwister!

I've got a couple of stories about riding the Jet Scream, but I'll leave that for another post.

I totally remember this show. Channel 11, I believe? On Saturday nights? The name was something very stereotypical, very clubby. Wish I could remember it. I remember tuning in once or twice and it was SO AWKWARD.

Ha!

Thank you for the info!

You're welcome!

The name of the "dance club" was "Tremors." Still can't remember what the local TV show was called...

^ No. On page 616, the attraction is announced, and they definitely changed their

"terminology" for what was coming to SFStL. As they did for any other of their

parks that was getting a Larson Loop.

This was just for fun.
