Woodie Warrior
Did anyone get the online customer survey asking about possible new ideas for rides for next year? The three ideas that I was given was 1. Interactive train ride. 2. Mardi Gras theme 3. Christmas in the park . Anyone have any thoughts I would absolutely love a Holiday in the Park event at SFSTL!!! It is so beautiful at SDC and I know SFSTL wouldn't be near as awe-inspiring, but it would be awesome to have an extended season. I don't know where a Mardi Gras area would fit. Can you elaborate more on the interactive train ride? What would that even be?

Well Tsunami Soaker is being added in that area with a wharf theme, so placing a Mardi Gras area around it would be strange, especially since there isn't much room for a new ride. I'm wondering if the area with Tidal Wave and SkyScreamer might work.
SFSTLFAN
I was thinking about the Mardi Gras being sort of like Fright Fest but early season when they are open for the weekends.. You could do Decorations, parade, etc... Just a idea

StLCPfan
The three concepts I was asked about in the survey I got Friday were 1) a lighted walk like Cedar Point and Worlds of Fun, 2) a virtual reality experience similar to the one (I'm assuming) that they had near Batman's entrance for a few years, and 3) a lighted scenery experience for a roller coaster that would change the ride at night (the picture looked like a family coaster similar to Pandemonium). SFSTLFAN
So what exactly is an "interactive train ride"? Did the survey describe what it would be like? Picture that was with the survey showed small train that had laser type guns (scooby doo) and you would shoot at items along the train route. I for one don't want them to do anything with our train. prozach626
^ Me either I also don't like the idea of turning the train, which I find to be a relaxing break in the action, into a laser shoot-em-up gimmick full of screaming kids. Mardi Gras? Unless you're talking about an area devoted to pounding booze and scantily clad women, I'm not interested. I spend my Christmas season playing as much hockey as possible and I usually work Christmas day. The last thing I want to do is spend more time in the cold walking past closed rides. I'm really not trying to be (overly) negative, but these seem like some of the worst ideas yet...
prozach626
^I concur. If this was Cedar Fair, this would be realistic. Haha. You're definitely on point with this. Say what you want about B&M, but I'd be thrilled about a hyper with a similar layout. It's the bow that would tie our park together.
Geauga Dog
^When I first saw that the first thing I thought of was Intimidator at Carowinds, which would be a nice fit for SFStL. I'd throw a couple of underground tunnels into the layout to spice it up a bit and go under parts of the train track.
SteveStL
Layout is good but the turnaround in the Front goes right over the entrance line into HH. I can't see any coaster running there. But all the space in the Fields and Woods to the East are all open game. Something like Raging Bull would work great in that space. Once they remove the Ninja.... Vonni
^ The layout could still go over the HH intrance. It would just be footers and supports there anyway. It could definitely work.

ytterbiumanalyst
Yeah, Ninja needs to die. Preferably quickly and from behind without any warning.
CP_RULES
I may be biased, but if enthusiasts were able to ride Ninja with anticipation of the only rough part of the ride (the half loop "immelman") I doubt they'd rate it so low. I've ridden much more boring rides in the same park (River King Mine Train, anyone?) and I'd hardly rate it as my worst coaster.
Woodie Warrior
I've ridden much more boring rides in the same park (River King Mine Train, anyone?) and I'd hardly rate it as my worst coaster. I agree with this. Ninja is a pretty rough ride that needs to be retired, but River King Mine Train is a worse ride, and it's almost as rough (although since I'm tall enough, the trains are really too compact for me, so it might just be me). Ninja isn't as bad if you brace yourself, but there's no way to brace yourself on Mine Train.
Zcev5454
Ninja has got some serious ejector airtime on the first drop in the last car. I'd have to say that that force is probably stronger than most (if not all) of the other moments on the other coasters.
jk1w
I really enjoy Ninja as I am one of the few, it seems, who passes the over the head restraints headbanging. All it really needs is new cars or retrofitted with lap bars if possible? and all should fine

I'm only skeptical cause I can't see how Ninja at Six Flags Over Georgia ranked higher. I'd take 4 Volares over Ninja at SFOG again.

Woodie Warrior
BTW, those photos are from Negative-G for those wondering. Anyway, Tsunami Soaker does look a little cramped in its space, but it is better than the SBNO flat ride that used to be there.
ArizonaGuy
Looks like it's gonna be a pretty cool little addition to the park. I totally agree it's better than having an SBNO ride there rotting away. Kudos to SFStL for making strides to spruce up the park. Is the Batman paint job finished? Any pics? Look any better?
