nemesis-storm
I decided to goto Parque de Atracciones in Madrid, last weekend (26th & 27th November). The park was very empty on both days, anyway on to the pics. Well I got to the park. The park is very easy to get to via Madrid's Metro The park did not open till 12 PM each day. So I did a spot of sight seeing. I love Europe The contruction guys were doing a good job. X-Car track X-Car track As you walk around the park you see the construction on the new 2006 X car coaster As you walk around the park you see the construction on the new 2006 X car coaster Another piece of track into place

nemesis-storm
^^^ thanks for all your comments guys. Here are some more pictures After the first loop you go into a banked curve & into the second loop. You get some great 'hang time' out of your seat feeling on this loop. Tornado's first loop Tornado, A Intamin suspended coaster. The first drop was pretty awesome, reminds me of Batman:TR Tornado After the 2 loops you enter the corkscrew element Final element of Tornado is the downward helix

Inferno Insane
Look you had a nice trip at Parque de Atracciones, Hopefully visit sometime next year when Abismo opens and doubt it be dead like in some of your photos, still don't why scrap a Schwarzkopf thou for a X car on well . Tarantula look pretty wild in areas i.e. the 1st drop to the bankturn. Also look better than not Looked After Rough Rust Fury Also thinkin about Tarantula, dose it have a Max Height Restriction like Spinball at Alton? nemesis-storm
^ yeah Tornado is a fine coaster. A bit of head banging in the front few rows, Middle & the the end was smooth. Final set of pictures. I promise Oh yeah , this is how busy the park was. Both days the park was empty. T.I.R, a great little flying carpet ride La Máquina Rotor - A cool Huss Condor ride

I'm not sure why scrap a perfectly good Schwarzkopf for an X-car, I'd prefer the Schwarzkopf . Tarantula is extreme as extreme these coasters can get, a few time as the car spun the +G 's slammed my head into the head rest. Yes there is a max height limit, to be honest I can't remember what it is though :?
pianojohn
Wow! Some of the theming reminds me of Canada's Wonderland when it first opened. I have not been back since so I don't know if they have maintained it. I also did not know Intamin made inverted coasters other than Volcano here at Parmount's Kings Dominion. Guess I need to do a search on www.rcdb.com Thanks again for the great pics!

WW Goliath
Nice pictures Paul. I enjoyed looking at these as this is a park I plan to visit next year although I'm not sure I would like to be as quiet as in your pictures. It was certainly a shame that they got rid of their Schwarzkopf for an X Car. I know which I would prefer

I know which I would prefer Hi Rob, first of all welcome to Theme Park Review - The worlds best theme park website Glad you liked the pictures, yeah the park was that! empty. Tornado needed a full train of riders (24) before it would go around. On the Sunday , it was'nt until 5 PM before there was enough people around for the coaster to run
SharkTums
^Yeah, I always wondered if that was a 'rumor' or not, but basically the ride needs a full train or it rolls back!!!
coasterfreak101
Tornado looks really cool, are the Intamin inverted good? Because I hear that Volcano: The Blast Coaster @ PKD is really good, is Tornado? And also, isn't the Deja Vu coaster (with different colors) at PdAM? Great pics, thanks for sharing!!! Tornado is a good coaster, it's not the most interesting layout ever. The first drop is awesome I think ... the 2 vertical loops are good, with the second giving some great out of the seat feeling. I think you are thinking of Stunt Fall, thats at WBMW Madrid - which is a Vekoma GIB like Deja Vu.
