This is Whitechapel's Posession on This is Exile

Eyes are glaring red with a conscience set to kill

Nostrils flared and the eyebrows parallel

Thriving on the chaos and the suffering I have caused on you all

A dispute of man and diabolical beasts

How could one cipher such a malevolent being?

I am certain of humanity's demise

We are the disease that spreads amongst its filthy race

I am certain of humanity's demise

Man will inspire the works of a new era of corruption

Now that I can control the orifice of mankind

I gladly inform, you're all in a world of $hit

Coprophagia would be the only solution

Open your fucking mouth and ingest what you are

Silent, you will remain, while I invoke my presence on your world

Urges I must satisfy, again and again...

Inside a shell, festering is the mind of a ba$tard child

Cover the earth with the blood of this lamb!

We are the disease the spreads amongst its filthy race

Collect the dust of the ones who have fallen to the lies

It is your last resort to a wretched memory

Take this life for granted and hold it tight

For we have you all under control because

We are the disease

For we have you all under control

Man will inspire the works of a new era of corruption

God d*mn you all

Eyes are glaring red with a conscience set to kill

Nostrils flared and the eyebrows parallel

God d*mn you all

You Said It All by Ozzy Osbourne

Well I gotta funny feelin' but I'm gonna stay cool

Something's telling me I'm gonna break all the rules

Let me tell ya I'm not Insecure

But I got an empty feelin' that you got the cure

You said it all, You've got to stay

To proud to fall, No more to say

Well I'm feeling sober but I'm high on the Throne

Like a demon sick and sick and tired of being alone

I've made a bed That's hard to lie in

But if lovin' you is wrong, Can't do nothing but sin

You said it all, You've got to stay

To proud to fall, No more to say

[GUITAR SOLO]

You said it all, You've got to stay

To proud to fall, No more to say

Let them hang me, they would if they knew

Even half the things I've been doing with you

Walk me to the gallow and drop me to the floor

and watch me swingin' and I still want you more

You said it all, You've got to stay

To proud to fall, No more to say

"I'm supposed to be the one who brings us all together

Weak or strong, not just a song

We sing along when things go wrong

You will need me when you fall

And I will need you when I'm wrong

Tears lead me on

They let me lead you so far

Weak or strong, I'll hold your arm."

From my favourite album at the moment.

'Starlings' - Elbow

How dare the Premier ignore my invitations?

He'll have to go

So, too, the bunch he luncheons with

It's second on my list of things to do

At the top I'm stopping by

Your place of work and acting like

I haven't dreamed of you and I

And marriage in an orange grove

You are the only thing in any room you're ever in

I'm stubborn, selfish and too old.

I sat you down and told you how

the truest love that's ever found

Is for oneself

You pulled apart my theory

With a weary and disinterested sigh

So yes I guess I'm asking you

To back a horse that's good for glue

And nothing else

But find a man that's truer than,

Find a man that needs you more than I

Sit with me a while

And let me listen to you talk about

your dreams and your obsessions

I'll be quiet and confessional

The violets explode inside me

when I meet your eyes

Then I'm spinning and I'm diving

Like a cloud of starlings

Darling is this love?

It takes awhile for the vocals to kick in, but it's worth the wait.

Deathbed by Relient K has some of the most beautiful, meaningful lyrics that I've heard in a really long time. It's an 11 minute epic about a man on his deathbed, recalling his life's ups and downs, before finally passing away and what happens after that.

The lyrics are waaaay too freaking long to post here, so here's a link.

From "Pajama Party" by Swimming With Dolphins:

I'll always wake up so confused

each time I have that dream of you

but, if you dreamt of me too

Does that mean we dreamt the same dream?

In case you're curious, Swimming With Dolphins is a project from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with Austin Tofte on vocals and Adam Young (from Owl City fame) as the producer. It's an amazing project, if you like Owl City you should definitely check SWD out.

^^I love Swimming with Dolphins! Everything's a Miracle is so cool with all the choppiness.

Good lyrics!

I like this part of Indonesia by August Burns Red:

The earth will swallow the water. The clouds refill the oceans.

The earth will swallow the water and spit out.

The clouds will refill, refill the oceans.

The earth will swallow... Old mountains will crumble... ...the water and spit out. ...and stronger ones will rise.

Here is one of my faves: Love this song by Jeremy Camp.

There Will Be A Day lyrics

I try to hold on to this world with everything I have

But I feel the weight of what it brings, and the hurt that tries to grab

The many trials that seem to never end, His word declares this truth,

that we will enter in this rest with wonders anew

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings

That there will be a place with no more suffering

(Chorus)

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more

fears

There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more,

we'll see Jesus face to face

But until that day, we'll hold on to you always

I know the journey seems so long

You feel you’re walking on your own

But there has never been a step

Where you’ve walked out all alone

Troubled soul don’t lose your heart

Cause joy and peace he brings

And the beauty that’s in store

Outweighs the hurt of life’s sting

But I hold on to this hope and the promise that He brings

That there will be a place with no more suffering

(Chorus)

I can’t wait until that day where the very one I’ve lived for always will

wipe away the sorrow that I’ve faced

To touch the scars that rescued me from a life of shame and misery

this is why this is why I sing

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more

fears

There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more,

we'll see Jesus face to face

There will be a day with no more tears, no more pain, and no more

fears

There will be a day when the burdens of this place, will be no more,

we'll see Jesus face to face

There will be a day, he will wipe away the tears,

He will wipe away the tears,

He will wipe away the tears,

There will be a day.

I have become addicted to a band called Skillet recently, and their song "Lucy" is easily the saddest song I have ever heard. I have to fight back tears every time I listen to it. The story behind it is that the lead singer knew a young couple, not married, still in high school, and the girl ends up getting pregnant. Being so young they panic, and the girl decides to get an abortion feeling like it is the only way out. A couple months pass, and the couple starts feeling so much guilt and grief that they decide to go to a counselor for help. The counselor told them to treat it like a death in the family and told them to do 3 things: Get a small headstone to commemorate the child, hold a small memorial service, and name the child. If you are a sensitive person you will probably cry listening to the song. The lyrics:

Hey Lucy, I remember your name

I left a dozen roses on your grave today

I'm in the grass on my knees, wipe the leaves away

I just came to talk for a while, got some things I need to say

Now that it's over, I just wanna hold her

I'd give up all the world to see

That little piece of Heaven looking back at me

Now that it's over, I just wanna hold her

I've gotta live with the choices I made

And I can't live with myself today

Hey Lucy, I remembered your birthday

They said it'd bring some closure to say your name

I know I'd do it all different if I had the chance

But all I got are these roses to give

And they can't help me make amends

Now that it's over, I just wanna hold her

I'd give up all the world to see

That little piece of Heaven looking back at me

Now that it's over, I just wanna hold her

I've gotta live with the choices I made

And I can't live with myself today

[- From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/s/skillet-lyrics/lucy-lyrics.html -]

Here we are, now you're in my arms

I never wanted anything so bad

Here we are for a brand new start

Living the life that we could've had

Me and Lucy walking hand in hand

Me and Lucy never wanna end

Just another moment in your eyes

I'll see you in another life in Heaven

Where we never say goodbye

Now that it's over, I just wanna hold her

I'd give up all the world to see

That little piece of Heaven looking back at me

Now that it's over, I just wanna hold her

I've gotta live with the choices I made

And I can't live with myself today

Here we are, now you're in my arms

Here we are for a brand new start

I got to live with the choices I've made

And I can't live with myself today

Me and Lucy walking hand in hand

Me and Lucy never wanna end

I've got to live with the choices I've made

And I can't live with myself today

Hey Lucy, I remember your name

Edit: Wow, I teared up a bit just reading these lyrics. I love this song but it is so incredibly sad.

This is a real song by an Australian punk band called Frenzal Rhomb (some of their more serious songs would go great on TPR videos), it's a short but insightful take on paleontology (meteor my a$$):

I Know Why Dinosaurs Became Extinct

by Frenzal Rhomb

I know why dinosaurs became extinct,

It's because they learned how to suck their own c***s.

You can't go wrong with Elbow ever, but lyrically Starlings is probably my favourite of their songs:

How dare the Premier ignore my invitation?

He'll have to go

So too the bunch he luncheons with

It's second on my list of things to do

At the top is stopping by

Your place of work and acting like

I haven't dreamed of you and I

And marriage in an orange grove

You are the only thing

In any room you're ever in

I'm stubborn, selfish and too old

I sat you down and told you how

The truest love that's ever found

Is for oneself

You pulled apart my theory

With a weary and disinterested sigh

So yes I guess I'm asking you

To back a horse that's good for glue

And nothing else

But find a man who's truer than

Find a man who needs you more than I

Sit with me a while and let me listen to you talk about

Your dreams and your obsessions, I'll be quiet and confessional

The violets explode inside me when I meet your eyes

Then I'm spinning and I'm diving like a cloud of starlings

Darling is this love?

It may not be my number one favorite song, but Eagle's "The Last Resort" really has amazingly crafted lyrics and overall meaning woven into the song. Creating a very solid, meaningful, work of art.

"The Last Resort"

She came from Providence,

the one in Rhode Island

Where the old world shadows hang

heavy in the air

She packed her hopes and dreams

like a refugee

Just as her father came across the sea

She heard about a place people were smilin'

They spoke about the red man's way,

and how they loved the land

And they came from everywhere

to the Great Divide

Seeking a place to stand

or a place to hide

Down in the crowded bars,

out for a good time,

Can't wait to tell you all,

what it's like up there

And they called it paradise

I don't know why

Somebody laid the mountains low

while the town got high

Then the chilly winds blew down

Across the desert

through the canyons of the coast, to

the Malibu

Where the pretty people play,

hungry for power

to light their neon way

and give them things to do

Some rich men came and raped the land,

Nobody caught 'em

Put up a bunch of ugly boxes, and Jesus,

people bought 'em

And they called it paradise

The place to be

They watched the hazy sun, sinking in the sea

You can leave it all behind

and sail to Lahaina

just like the missionaries did, so many years ago

They even brought a neon sign: "Jesus is coming"

Brought the white man's burden down

Brought the white man's reign

Who will provide the grand design?

What is yours and what is mine?

'Cause there is no more new frontier

We have got to make it here

We satisfy our endless needs and

justify our bloody deeds,

in the name of destiny and the name

of God

And you can see them there,

On Sunday morning

They stand up and sing about

what it's like up there

They call it paradise

I don't know why

You call someplace paradise,

kiss it goodbye

So... Freaking... Awesome...

Aah, an afternoon alone with

My favorite book, "Broadway

Musicals of the 1940s."

No roommate to bother me.

How could it get any better than this?

Oh,hi Rod!

Hi Nicky.

Hey Rod, you'll never

Guess what happened to

Me on the subway this morning.

This guy was smiling at me and talking to me

That's very interesting.

He was being real friendly,

And I think he was coming on to me.

I think he might've thought I was gay!

Ahem, so, uh, why are you telling me this?

Why should I care?

I don't care.

What did you have for lunch today?

Oh, you don't have to get

All defensive about it, Rod...

I'm NOT getting defensive!

What do I care about some gay guy you met, okay?

I'm trying to read.

Oh, I didn't mean anything by it, Rod.

I just think it's something we should be able to talk about.

I don't want to talk about it,

Nicky! This conversation is over!!!

Yeah, but...

OVER!!!

Well, okay, but just so you know —

IF YOU WERE GAY

THAT'D BE OKAY.

I MEAN 'CAUSE, HEY,

I'D LIKE YOU ANYWAY.

BECAUSE YOU SEE,

IF IT WERE ME,

I WOULD FEEL FREE

TO SAY THAT I WAS GAY

(BUT I'M NOT GAY.)

Nicky, please!

I am trying to read....

What?!

IF YOU WERE QUEER

Ah, Nicky!

I'D STILL BE HERE,

Nicky, I'm trying to read this book.

YEAR AFTER YEAR

Nicky!

BECAUSE YOU'RE DEAR

TO ME,

Argh!

AND I KNOW THAT YOU

What?

WOULD ACCEPT ME TOO,

I would?

IF I TOLD YOU TODAY,

"HEY! GUESS WHAT,

I'M GAY!"

(BUT I'M NOT GAY.)

I'M HAPPY

JUST BEING WITH YOU.

High Button Shoes, Pal Joey...

SO WHAT SHOULD IT

MATTER TO ME

WHAT YOU DO IN BED

WITH GUYS?

Nicky, that's GROSS!

No it's not!

IF YOU WERE GAY

I'D SHOUT HOORAY!

I am not listening!

AND HERE I'D STAY,

La la la la la!

BUT I WOULDN'T GET

IN YOUR WAY.

Aaaah!

YOU CAN COUNT ON ME

TO ALWAYS BE

BESIDE YOU EVERY DAY,

TO TELL YOU IT'S OKAY,

YOU WERE JUST BORN

THAT WAY,

AND, AS THEY SAY,

IT'S IN YOUR DNA,

YOU'RE GAY!

BUT I'M NOT GAY!

If you were gay.

Argh!

I really love the song by Le Anne Rimes that is played right after the fireworks @ Disney...definitely a fave of mine.

"Remember When" Lyrics

Disneyland's 50th anniversary theme song

Performed by LeAnn Rimes

Written by Richard Marx

Do you remember your imagination?

Where Neverland was a destination

Your magical adventure isn't over yet

Just hold on tight and don't forget

Every wish, every dream you ever had

Close your eyes

And it will all come rushing back

Fly away

All you need is to believe and remember when

You never know where your dreams might take you

So keep them safe and sound don't let reality break you

Feel your sweetest memories come and carry you away

Just get lost in yesterday

Every wish, every dream you ever had

Just close your eyes

And it will all come rushing back

Fly away

All you need is to believe and remember when

Surrender to the innocence

You thought you left behind

And reach the child that lives inside

Every wish, every dream you ever had

Just close your eyes

And it will all come rushing back

Fly away

All you need is to believe and remember when

Fly away

All you need is to believe and remember when

Remember when

Thank God I don’t think out loud

Too many thoughts in my head right now

Mostly concerning the moonlight

And it’s dance across your neck

I’m out of practice…and you smell like roses.

I’m the mortal soldier Your Queen of Hearts

All I want is to show you how your nothing

Like all of them tell you

To be more than just a cricket on your shoulder

A little closer

Feelings choke me

Don’t let me leave without a word

I’ll never give in

I’m letting my mind win the war with my heart again

You are timeless

I am a fool in love with time

I’ve always believed in you

Want to be more than that tonight

And live for the moment…

But that takes too much pride

You will say what I’ll never have.

I’d shape up and put on weight

Cross out my calendar marked to the date

Where we meet on some mystic veranda

To dance, I’d show you skills I’ve not forgotten

I’d spoil you rotten

So don’t be afraid for better or worse

Let’s dive head first

We can think about this later

When we’re not so jaded…so jaded

I can’t go on the way I’ve gone forever

A new endeavor is oh so needed and…

Feelings scare you

You never look me in the eye

Don’t ever change

I just want you to know

the complacency's always been staged

I was blinded, until you opened up my eyes

I’ve always believed in you

Want to be more than that tonight

And live for the moment

But that takes too much pride

You will say what I’ll…

Never had if I tried Damned if I don't.

What if I died without being with you

I can try all I want

The feelings would taunt saying ‘loser we see through you.’

And forgive me love

These thoughts are not my own

They were put in my mind by aliens

To keep me home alone.

And forgive me love For wanting you.

Blame it on those eyebrows arching over baby blues

Oh you. Oh you.

And live for the moment but that takes too much pride.

You will stay what I'll never have.

Oh can you see me now?

Do you hear me now?

Do you see Me now?

Could you save me now?

Do you hear me now?

Could you see me now?

Could you save me now?

I'm choking... I'm choking...

^^^ That song is epic.

I would have to say Hotel California. So well done lyrics.

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair

Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air

Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light

My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim

I had to stop for the night

There she stood in the doorway;

I heard the mission bell

And I was thinking to myself,

’this could be heaven or this could be hell’

Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way

There were voices down the corridor,

I thought I heard them say...

Welcome to the hotel california

Such a lovely place

Such a lovely face

Plenty of room at the hotel california

Any time of year, you can find it here

Her mind is tiffany-twisted, she got the mercedes bends

She got a lot of pretty, pretty boys, that she calls friends

How they dance in the courtyard, sweet summer sweat.

Some dance to remember, some dance to forget

So I called up the captain,

’please bring me my wine’

He said, ’we haven’t had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine’

The stab it with their steely knives,

Running for the door

To the place I was before

’relax,’ said the night man,
