mummyjohn
^Hey, maybe we could fit one at canobie lake park, but LIM's are loud aren't they? Wouldn't LIMs be silent (excluding the usual track-wheel noise, of course) because there's no contact, all magnetic forces? Superman the Escape, for example, makes almost no noise on the straightaway, it's only that high-g curve.
Stitch
The are electro magnets so you hear them turn on, that's all though
apollo210
I thought they were loud because the LIM's on Jokers Jinks are covered.
Electerik
Arrow's Mad Mouse. I believe there are only four of them, but they're darn good--airtime and everything. Photo from RCDB.
thomas2
Well I like SLC's and they're compact right? Can't get enough of Vampire @ Walibi Belgium
Stitch
I thought they were loud because the LIM's on Jokers Jinks are covered. More than likely they are covered to protect them from rain/snow
coasterdude5
One of my favorite compact designs is Viper at Six Flags Great America.
Stitch
I think the best compact coaster design ever is the wild mouse. Be it spinning, steel or wooden Copyright Rik Engelen Copyright Coastergallery.com Copyright Duane Marden
trustkill22
One design and compact coaster I enjoyed was Steel Dragon at Waldameer Park in Erie Pennsylvania. It's a Maurer Sohne Spinning Coaster.
rollermonkey
One of my favorite compact designs is Viper at Six Flags Great America. Although I wouldn't consider this a 'compact' coaster, thank you for the picture! Now I can see that this and Aska aren't exact clones!

IronWolfman
Iron Wolf is my Fav. Compact Coaster, and Fav. Coaster overall, If the name didn't give it away Already...
XYZ
Compact Gerstlauer Spinners (e.g. Pandemonium, SFDK) are a lot of fun and have a very small footprint. Iron Wolf is my Fav. Compact Coaster, and Fav. Coaster overall, If the name didn't give it away Already... I think almost everyone agrees that Iron Wolf is horrible...

jzoole
One hasn't been built yet but I feel pretty certain that the GCI Big Fun will be an awesome compact woodie! Also, I'm obsessed with Yamaha Racing Coaster. It's so cute. Mini Mr. Freeze
australianalex
Out of the compact coasters I've ridden, I like S&S El Locos and Gerstlauer Spinners the best.

Thri!!er
To me - the Compact A. Schwarzkopf-Coaster(s): Quadruple-Loop "Thriller", Triple-Loop "Dreier Looping" and the Non-Loop but Airtime-Coaster "Himalaya Bahn" (since 1998 under the name "Alpina Bahn"). Also (of course) the (former portable) Shuttle-Loop III "Wiener Looping".
RideofSteel
L and T's mini coasters are extremely small, but still deliver air time and some nice drops. (Runaway Train at Gillian's Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ).
LoneRider92
I'm sure one person's definition of 'compact' is different than another person's, but for me (and there will be those out there who think I'm crazy), Deja Vu was one heck of an awesome ride. Big, fast, intense, and always a rush. Also, Avalanche (what I'll always call it) at Timber Falls is a totally crazy and awesome ride for such a small footprint. If I ever was able to make it over there, however, I'd say Twister at Grona Lund looks ridiculous.
_koppen
Insane and Twister, for sure. Howcome nobody has mentioned the S&S El Loco's yet? They look to be really awsome, for the footprint they use! Also, Zamperla's motocoasters seems to be delivering a pretty fun ride, for a wild mouse footprint.

Meteornotes
For the amount of space it takes up versus the amount of forces it delivers, Insane wins this contest. dt
rolercstrluvr
I'd have to go with Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFDK. It packs a serious punch in such a small space. And that drop after the roll.
