What do you want to do when you grow up?

Being a park character is fun! In used to be (about 18 years ago) a famous rabbit, at a major theme park in New Jersey. It was cool, because I did all the commercials and appearances for the rabbit's 50th brithday, which was cool because I met the original animators (Chuck Jones and Fritz Freleng).

Thats kind of odd that so many people on this forum did movie theater work. I have been a projectionist for 4 years now, at 2 different theaters. I currently work at a 17 screen theater, and at my last theater I was an assistant manager/projectionist before I quit. Thats so odd. I like it, you never have to deal with customers. I wouldnt want to do it for a living though.

Currently, I am a student studying Mechanical Engineering. Almost done, one more year left. Yeah, its a lot of math, but hey, i think its worth it. So, if any of you feel like you want to be an engineer, I would be happy to answer questions.

As for what I would do if money wasnt an issue, I would design space ships. Of course, its one of those dreams that I am pursuing now, so money really isnt a factor to me. Well, other than getting funding for a project like that. But I believe that if you find a job you love, you never go to work.

I have always wanted to be a coaster engineer. I am planning to get an engineering degree in college. I know it's a lot of math, but it doesn't matter to me because I'm a seventh grader in an eighth grade algebra class(algebra 1A). So it shouldn't be a problem. But it's been my dream for quite a while now.

Oddly enough, I spread my life with four jobs, and I want to do two different ones later in my life.

I'm an Accounting Supervisor by day, City Commissioner twice a week at night, bartedner on the weekends, and own a small business from home in my free time.

I plan to move back to Maine in a few months, and apply for the Maine State Police. Once I sell my business, I'm going to put the money aside, and open a bar.

As for now, I'm an Aerospace Claims Technical Specialist. Sounds cool and really important...it's not. It's corporate nerd speak for claims adjuster.

Basically, if someone slips, trips, acts like an idiot and falls in an airport that we insure, I handle their claim for damages. We see the true dark side of society. The morons that think they can do no wrong and someone is always at fault besides themselves, and they request hordes of money to "help" them. There's a lot of dumb people out there.

When I was younger I wanted to be an animator for Disney or an Imagineer. My room was full of drawings and designs for rides, as well as, all my pratice sketches of all the Disney characters. One bad art teacher turned me off to it completely.....I'd love to go back and thank her. I kick myself everyday.

Well...

I started college as a Physics major - then decided that I hated math one day. I changed colleges and majors to Public Relations. During school I was a bartender/waiter for TGI Friday's and ended up being a corporate Computer Based Trainer for them. I was with them for about 10 years. I then went into Hotel/Restaurant management. Did that until it burned me out and am now in the Financial Planning / Services industry.

If I didn't have to worry about money - I would go back to school to become a vetrenarian, or become a teacher.

But - I do have to worry about money - so retirement / death planning (insurance) will do for me.

I want to go into either Ride Design / Manufacturing; or business management/ public relations in the amusement industry. Like I wanna be the guy who's all "yes we have something very good on the way, the press release date is blah blah blah" I just think being in control of what the GP does and doesnt know is a very powerful job
