DenDen Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Today was our annual Thanksgiving feast at church, though not very exciting, here is the rundown... Happy Turkey Day! My drink of choice. (waiting for the flames....) Poor miss piggy... dead poultry The kitchen crew waiting to feed us fat pigs. What do you mean it's not butter?!?!?!? Mmmmmmmm My pastor is better than Martha Stewart! The chicken puffs were AMAZING! The stars of the show, Miss Piggy and Turley Lurkey My pastor jammin on the ivories.
Nrthwnd Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Nice Thanksgivin'TR Dennis. How many people showed up/helped cook/(eventually) ate it all up? Poor, poor Miss P.
DenDen Posted November 21, 2005 Author Posted November 21, 2005 Actually, not many showed up, because more than half of our congregation has major damage from Wilma. You can't find a contractor, or supplies, ANYWHERE! So many have left town.
Teddymonster Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Dennis, for not many people showing, you all sure did kill that Turkey! What denominational church is it? If you don't mind me asking, that is...
ebl Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I'm a Baptist by upbringing. When we had dinners, a lot of people showed up, and not a lot of food was left! Maybe Baptists are ACEers in disguise! Eric
PhishyBrewer Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 OMFG!!! "You got to know when to hold them. Know when to fold them. Know when to walk away" Did Kenny bring any of his famous Chicken?

dandaman Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 "What do you mean it's not butter?!?!?!?!" You had me laughing at the first picture of the pastor jammin' on the organ
Nrthwnd Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Did Kenny bring any of his famous Chicken? Actually, I immediately thought of the dear old (dead) Colonel Sanders, with his 'eleven spices and seasonings'....
Kroger8 Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Dennis is Lutheran???? I am methodist!! When I go, and yes your pastor looks like mr. kenny rogers! Hahaha, awesome food!
DenDen Posted November 22, 2005 Author Posted November 22, 2005 I know, most people are shocked when they find out I'm active in my church. I'm the web minister of the church, and run all the on-line activities. It's a fun little church that I brag about a lot, it's not the "typical" stuffy church by any means.
FlyingScooter Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Kenny is right... Good catch, Wally! Nice Turkey Report, Denden.
dsngiem Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 the friends (quaker) church i go to had cambodian food, (and lots of it) as well as turkey. and it was good and gone like little miss piggie.
