I believe this is one of the mysteries of the universe? Almost as awesome as what came first the chicken or the egg. BTW the egg was more scared of height and the chicken was terrified of speed.

The chicken was quoted as saying that speed reminded him of rolling down the highway in the back of a semi on the way to slaughter.

The egg mumbled something about an ancestor named Humpty when asked about height.

Height would be the one to scare me every now and then. Because usually when i ride steel coasters, the higher the coaster is, the more my stomach hurts coming down the first drop...and I Love it...makes me scream.....Now wants to ride a coaster full of silent passengers??? Not me.

Definitely height. I can go as fast as I like and it won't really bother me, but any height where i'm a bit exposed and i'm nervous. Drop towers, bigger coasters, anything like that i'm nervous. Not really on space shots, I don't really get chance to be bothered then. I intend to get myself on a Skycoaster one day soon, but I know i'm going to be poo-ing it in the lead-up to it. 'll love it when I do it though.

If I was walking around on the top of a lift hill, or if I had to evacuate a train near the top of one I'm sure the height would terrify me, but when I'm strapped into a train it doesn't scare me at all..so uhh, neither. You should add a new choice to the poll, there have been lots of 'neither's.

I'd say height because it is actually a more noticable difference

I.E.:if you are going 120 mph (not accelerating), the only factor is wind.

If you are dropping from 400 feet, the factors are the drop, anticipation, verticalness, etc...

Which is why I liked Goliath so much more than S:TE. You get long anticipation and a long FORWARD drop. (it is a lot longer, too)
