Rest In Peace Eric Long (EBL)

It has been a minute since my last post here, however I came across the news earlier today that Eric Long (EBL) passed away a few months ago. I did not see it here nor anywhere else in the community and felt that it deserved to be mentioned. At one time he had been very active here during the early days of the forum, though he had not posted here for several years. However, for us "old timers" around Southern California there is a good chance that you knew Eric. He had been active in the rollercoaster community and on message boards going back to at least the late 90's. He was also a fixture for a long time at local events. I know he was very involved in the Socal chapter of ACE and would often attend their functions as well. I had met him several times for ride openings and other events and had spoken to him many times online. He was always a very nice guy who was happy to chat about theme parks and rollercoasters.

 

He will be missed!
