MARK
http://midwestinfoguide.com/worlds/patriot/103105/1.jpg It looks really wierd to me for some reason. Edited October 31, 2005 by MARK
DATman
link didn't work for me EDIT, the reason it looks weird is that it levels out higher than it enters the loop, making it look off center Edited October 31, 2005 by DATman
Wes
Yeah, it's an invisible loop!
MARK
Ah, go to midwestinfoguide.com and look up worlds of fun and then patriot construction. Hopefully that'll work. Make sure you go to the pic where it's looking at the loop from the side.
Jeezus Juice
For all the lazy asses: Looks like a normal loopy to me, I like the Hot Wheel playset style of layout so far. It even has the racing stripe!
robbalvey
Holy crap that loop looks TINY!
SharkTums
I think I see what he means, it looks like it's 'drunk' and leaning back!
SLUSHIE
Raptors loop is kinda like that too.
Twister II
Because the photo was taken at a bad angle. The drop curves back around, under the lift, unlike silver bullet. http://rcdb.com/ig3244.htm?picture=
MARK
Yeah, what Elissa said. It looks lopsided, but it could just be a defect in my brain.
patriot
i live in kansas city and i have seen the patriot up close it is actually pretty big it looks small from that pic but it is the tallest invert for cedar fair.
coasterfreak101
It's bigger than Raptor!?! That thing is 137 ft tall! The Patriot looks tiny compared to that!
patriot
yea the patriot is 149ft the loop it self is 89ft.
Twister II
But Raptors loops in 100ft.
SharkTums
Yeah and Silver Bullets loop is 105', weird that it's the tallest, but has one of the smallest loops! I guess this could maybe be good?
PhishyBrewer
Hmm... small loop? Fast, tight... greyout, with a side of G's
OzCatter
It's funny, cause from the other side, by the loop, if you look up, the loop actually looks on par with the track. From the parking lot it looks pretty tall too. Just a bad shot of the loop. Trust me, I've been as close as public can get to it -Cal
socalMAN123
Yeah and Silver Bullets loop is 105', weird that it's the tallest, but has one of the smallest loops! I guess this could maybe be good? Silver Bullet's loop is so tall because you're still like 50 feet off the ground when you enter it. ---Brent 8)
Corkscrewed
Here's a thing I've never quite understood... how come the vast majority (perhaps all, but I'm not sure) inverted coasters choose Immelmans over dive loops? I'd think that a dive loop would feel more exciting on an inverted then an Immelman. Maybe that's just me though.
coasterguy618
IT does look really lopsided!

I'd think that a dive loop would feel more exciting on an inverted then an Immelman. Maybe that's just me though. Its probably all about perspective.Since you approach the immelman from the bottom, and the track is above you, it has more of that feeling of flight. Also that suprise of not really knowing when you are going to be whipped up into the inversion. A dive loop on the other hand, as you approach it you will have a pretty good view of the rest of the element and track. Thats just my guess. Im sure they can make a dive loop work and it would be a cool feeling element, but it may ruin that sense of flight a little. Id like to see it done though. willski
Well, the Immelmann is an actual flying manuver (named after WWI pilot Max Immelmann), and since B&M wants the Invert to feel like a fighter-jet, I'd say it fits quite well. A dive loop would be awesome though, especially one that goes into a tunnel.
bluemen
The loop looks short and wide to me. Less whip at the top, more consistent force throughout the loop. Where's Real when you need him?

MagnumForce
They are measuring the height from the station. The lifthill actually goes uphill. Anyway it already looks loads better then Silver Bullet. Looks like the drop will have some whip and the loop will pull some very high g's.
