ZeroGravity55 0
They were supposed to re-track 90% of the ride last year. After hearing all the reports about how rough it was, I couldn't help but think that there was no way they re-tracked 90% of the ride. Now I'm wondering if the they ran out of time to get it all re-tracked before the season started and decided to finish it after this season was over. If you remember, they didn't finish the new section until about 2 weeks before the park opened up and reports from the opening weekend said that the project seemed to have been rushed to get it opened on time. GigaG 0
I remember that my mom hated Hades (original) back in 2007-08-ish and I didn't find it horrid. How does it compare to Son of Beast/Ghostrider/other fast, rough woodies?
ZeroGravity55 0
From what I've read, quite a few people said it was one of the worst coasters they've ever rode due to the roughness.
dippindotsguy8 0
I remember that my mom hated Hades (original) back in 2007-08-ish and I didn't find it horrid. How does it compare to Son of Beast/Ghostrider/other fast, rough woodies? Â Years ago, when it was new, I ranked it extremely high. But in the last few years, my experience has generally been that it is, without contest, the roughest, most painful wooden rollercoaster I've ever been on. Ghostrider, which I rode just a few days ago, was smooth as glass compared to Hades. Â I haven't been back to the park since they added the inversion, but it sounds like it's pretty much just as bad as usual even with whatever re-tracking they did.
LoneRider92 0
... I just must have one of the highest pain thresholds in human existence. Did I find the ride rough? Of course, it's a wooden coaster; however, even a few people I went on the ride with who had ridden the prior version of Hades several times remarked how much smoother the ride was this past year and how great it was (it honestly was a complete reversal from the past few seasons). A few other wooden coasters I have ridden seemed to be MUCH rougher than Hades (heck, the back seat just down the path on Cyclops is **clavicle-crackling-ly** rough on that drop past the station - it did get some TLC last year though on other sections). Â Oh well. Now I really look forward to getting more rides this coming year. Â <----- Hades' one and only fanboy.

Schrecken 0
I must have caught Hades on a really good day (assuming there are any) when I visited this past July, because I can think of at least a half a dozen woodies I found to be far more rough than Hades was (only rode Hades in the front and 2nd seat, but I also rode those other brutal coasters in the same seats - front or 2nd). SOB still ranks as the worst woodie I ever set foot on, and I found Zeus at the same park to be much worse, as well as my ride earlier this year on Wildcat at HP. Other dis-honorable mentions I found worse than Hades were Hurler (KD, several years ago) and Hoosier Hurricane at IB (three or four years ago). IMO, while I will never be a fan of Hades, it did have a few redeeming features - I liked the first trip thru the tunnel, and though I find inversions on woodies to be unnecessary and pointless gimmicks, I did think it was kind of neat to come right out of the darkness and into the inversion. If only the inversion wasn't sitting smack dab in the end of the parking lot, it would be a nice surprise feature.

I also found the front seat pretty smooth, but I only tried the 10th row and it was too muh for me to handle, I'm afraid I would get hurt so I didn't ride the back seat. simaticable 0
I guess with the changes they made to Hades when it was converted to Hades 360, they no longer need to do this. Watch when next year comes and a coaster somehow ends up perfectly stuck in the middle of the corkscrew.
Mrlittle 1
Why is it, when I see this thread pop up, my ribs start to hurt? Â ...Oh yeah, just the reminder of how awful Hades 360 is. Edited December 3, 2013 by Mrlittle

Rollercoaster Rider 0
Supposedly Mt. O is gonna retrack sections, Which sounds to me that they're gonna buy another hotel. Â Â Wonder when they're going to announce the indoor waterpark expansion. Again I imagine a small hotel like pool and them buying another hotel.
gerstlaueringvar 0
I think all of their coasters except for Opa need some change. Â Cyclops: Fix the rough section after the drop-o-death Zeus: Retrack Pegasus: Fix the final turn. Little Titan: Proove you are a TPR member and you can ride it!(Something fantasy) Hades360: Tear it down or Iron Horse!!!

piedude81 0
I think all of their coasters except for Opa need some change. Cyclops: Fix the rough section after the drop-o-death Zeus: Retrack Pegasus: Fix the final turn. Little Titan: Proove you are a TPR member and you can ride it!(Something fantasy) Hades360: Tear it down or Iron Horse!!!  Cyclops also needs a complete retrack somewhere down the line, but just fixing a couple parts should work for now. Also, I think some new padded trains might be a nice addition.  Honestly, Pegasus just needs to be torn down. There are no turns to "fix" because every single time the ride changes directions, it hurts LIKE HECK. Just tear it down and replace it with another crappy coaster. It's probably better than the miserable existence that is Pegasus.  Zeus is actually an okay out and back. A retrack would be spot on.  Hades needs some TLC from RMC, if you know what I mean. Maybe if Mt. Olympus sold all their crappy motels they could afford it.
WildStangAlex 0
Mt. Olympus has so much potential. I feel if they genuinely focused on researching similarly sized parks like Holiday World or Kennywood, they could make improvements to the park overall. The fact that there are curbs in the middle of the midways, and no proper changing rooms are some of the things that concern me. I want to like the place, I really do, but I can't with how many crappy visits I have had.

robbalvey 85
http://kstp.com/article/stories/S3352493.shtml?cat=12196 Â Man Falls from Roller Coaster at Wisconsin Dells Theme Park Authorities say a 64-year-old man has fallen off an indoor roller coaster at a Wisconsin theme park. Â The Sauk County sheriff's office dispatch center says the man fell 15 to 20 feet and landed on the floor Thursday. Â The dispatch center says it happened around 5:30 p.m. at Mt. Olympus Theme Park & Water Park Resort. Â Paramedics were called. The man's condition is not known.
ilrider 0
^I knew it was only a matter of time for that park. Without more details, I guess I should not assume the park is to blame, but... Â Hope the guy is okay.
CaptainUnknown 24
^This doesn't surprise me all that much. The ride is extremely jerky going around the corners on the upper half. When I was at the park a few years ago, one of the wheels fell off and a car valleyed. Beyond that, I'm just unimpressed with Mt. O with this coaster. They could have built a Vekoma Roller Skater and they go for a portable mouse coaster with mouse cars. The entire indoor park just has no consistency in themeing.
