IronWolfman 3
Well that confirms the retracking. Hope Hades ends up smoother, loopier and more reliable.
cal1br3tto 2
90% of it is being retracked. Do the lift hill and brake run make up 10% of the ride? I sure hope so!
Moose 0
It is sad that such a new coaster needs so much retracking.
JJLehto 2
I believe the only change is the barrel roll, and the rest of the layout is exactly the same? Just being re tracked? Hope so, I hate not being able to ride an original and I won't be making it out here anytime in 2013 And yeah this isn't original anymore with the barrel roll but whatever. I think it looks pretty sweet
downunder 0
I got some excellent night rides on this in 2007, and it was sad to see that since then hell was riding this coaster. They've fixed the track (I hope) & added a gimmick, now if only they can fix the surly, smug, Eastern European seasonals running the ride.
JJLehto 2
I think the gimmick works for this one though. Instead of that big, slow hill (though it did look cool) its a roll now, I think it'll be more fun and hold much more speed!
deathbydinn 0
I believe the only change is the barrel roll, and the rest of the layout is exactly the same? Just being re tracked? The whole turnaround is being changed. Since the barrel roll is much lower than the old hill it reaches the ground again much faster, so what used to be a big sweeping turnaround will now be a quicker dive to the ground followed by a 135 degree banked turn. It is sad that such a new coaster needs so much retracking. Yeah, now that I know that 90% of it is being re-tracked I'm really hoping this will be a new beginning for the coaster and that the new train won't rip it up as much as the PTC did. coastercrazy216 1
Aren't they just getting 1 new train?
Lareson 0
Aren't they just getting 1 new train? Yep, only one single Timberliner. Because of how high the station is and that there's no transfer track, currently no plans to add a 2nd train, even though it could use it. We'd also have to see if they're sticking with the 20-capacity train or bumping it up to 24.

Olympus's horrible management will make it Unrideable by 2014 again. I want them to buy A B&M Coaster and see how badly they can maintain it after 2 years.
darklingscribe 0
I want them to buy A B&M Coaster and see how badly they can maintain it after 2 years. It is a nice thought, but they'd only be able to afford a used one. For the Price of a single B&M they could probably build three wooden coasters.
vacoaster09 0
Yeah, if they had two trains on Hades... it be done for by mid season due to the track taking twice the beating it does with one train.
Topdrag 0
So I just realized I should post some of these photos that I took in the dells this past weekend. The park was OPEN. Well, at least the indoor park was open and one coaster and go-kart track outside were open. Thank you Mt. Olympus management for little ally saying “Yeah we don’t care if you walk in the construction area and take pictures of it!” The things you can do at that park is a little scary. Almost wants to make me start a amusement park safety and security consulting firm someday. Anyway, here are the pictures. Enjoy! SharkTums 134
Thanks for the update, it looks TERRIFYING!!!!
DougMJr 0
I didn't realize that there would be a catwalk underneath the inversion, that should be interesting.
jmicha 0
I'm really enjoying the way the upside down portion is cantilevered off of the support structure. Should make for a much more intimidating looking element. I'm excited to see this finished and hear initial reports. And that low lying overbanked hill looks like it is going to be taken with some serious speed. Should be a fun improvement.
TyRush 0
Um is this thing safe? Lol....looks like that corkscrew/zero G roll will be dull
Wes 0
Thanks for the update, it looks TERRIFYING!!!! Especially considering where its built.
Meteornotes 0
Yeah, I'm very curious to see/hear reports about this when it opens. Thanks for the update! dt
larrygator 7
Thank you Mt. Olympus management for little ally saying “Yeah we don’t care if you walk in the construction area and take pictures of it!” Only at Mt. Olympus. Feel free to walk through the construction zone, just remember we are not responsible if you get hurt you do so at your own risk. Edited April 17, 2013 by jray21

It is a nice thought, but they'd only be able to afford a used one. For the Price of a single B&M they could probably build three wooden coasters. There's one in South Carolina they could probably get cheap. Hades 360 may be the king of parking-lot coasters.
Commando 0
^ Its the hipster parking lot coaster, ya know, cause its underground.
Midgetman82 0
^And one of a kind. That catwalk under the roll looks awfully close. Those aren't staying on there, are they?
Skycoastin Steve 0
^Unless they figure out a way to levitate to inspect the track every morning when it's operating, yes.
Moose 0
The structure for the catwalk looks a little iffy, but this is Mount Olympus.
