^That sounds great . I love when people get a whole train to do/say something, it's always epic!

I was at Linnanmäki Light Festival yesterday (it was awesome!) and while on the topspin ride (which had changed it's program and was running a bit like a german carnival with the operator having the microphone saying stuff with echo and stuff)

I was in the front seat and yelled -"KAIKKI HUUTAA PERUNA" (which means "everyone yell potato") And like the whole 40 person gondola yells potato at the same time

Tonight at Knott's Scary Farm, while passing by GhostRider. "If you sit in the last car, you actually come up off the tracks on the drop because the front cars are pulling you over so fast."

The concept of up-stop wheels will always be just beyond the GP's grasp.

Wheels under the track? Wouldn't they hit the supports?

http://www.thetoptens.com/worst-roller-coasters/

There is some stuff worth mentioning:

Number 2: Wicked Twister, Cedar Point

"Very stupid! Youm go up a tower down up down up and you're done. Retarded"]

He kind of is correct, but kind of incorrect at the same time.

Number 3: Medusa, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

"I mean look look at this crap this doesn't look anything like the X2."

THE X2?

Number 7: Nitro, Six Flags Great Adventure

"Get in it, a few seconds get out!"

So, you're saying this ride only lasts like 3 seconds?

Number 10: Magnum XL 200, Cedar Point

"This is not one of the worst. Sure it is rough, but it was the first coaster over 200 feet. This was a groundbreaking rollercoaster at the time! It is only rough because it is old."

IT'S ONLY ROUGH BECAUSE IT IS OLD?!

Number 11: Corkscrew, Cedar Point

"It was very painful so people with spine issues shouldn't go on the corkscrew at cedar point! It was one of the 2 roller coasters at cedar point!"

ANY person with spine issues shouldn't go on a coaster. Also, Cedar Point has only TWO roller coasters?!

Number 16. Sidewinder, Hersheypark

"This will probably be the last Hershey Park rollercoaster I'll ride I've heard so many negative comments about it, including my dad's."

Sooo, you won't ride any more coasters at Hershey Park just because of Sidewinder?

Number 17. Blue Streak, Cedar Point

"It was so uncomfortable, the seats were really tiny. And the coaster was just a bunch of steep hills and nothing else. No loops or corkscrews or anything."

"The seats were really small and uncomfortable and all it is is a bunch of big hills."

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT? WOODEN COASTERS DO NOT HAVE LOOPS (except RMC). DO YOU REALLY EXPECT A NORMAL WOODEN COASTER TO GO UPSIDE DOWN, ESPECIALLY IF THIS COASTER IS AIMED FOR FAMILIES?!

And the list just goes on and on... I even spotted High Roller at Las Vegas, where a person said it only goes round in circles. I guess they wouldn't understand that they can't make a more advanced coaster when 900 feet in the air.

Well, yeah. It's old and therefore was built using old design techniques.

Not sure what the person was trying to say, but it's definitely one of two coasters at that park that nobody - even with a healthy spine - should ride.

How the hell is Tatsu rated worst on that list??!??!?

I mean, it's not the best coaster in the world, and B&M flyers aren't the greatest, but Tatsu is far from the worst coaster in the world. There are many coasters, even the rest of the flyers, that are worse. I guess that's why we can't put any trust in the GP.

I was listening to a radio show one time (around the time of the Texas Giant incident) and one of the hosts thought that it was "the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world," while the other host corrected him by saying that "I thought that was that wooden one at the Six Flags in New Jersey."

oh.

On that top ten website... I just don't understand some of the positions.

Top 10 Scaries Rollercoasters In The World

1. Kingda Ka

... No comment... Why?! WHY?! Just because it's the tallest coaster and the 2nd fastest, doesn't mean it's the scariest!

2. Millennium Force

Literally EVERY top 10 list on this site... The GP on this site thinks MF is the best coaster in the world... NO!!! Even Fury 325 isn't in the TOP TWENTY!

3. Top Thrill Dragster

*major facepalm*

10. The Beast (Kings Island)

I'm not sure if this option counts as being GP since The Beast honestly doesn't look that scary.

"Top Ten Rides That Will Make You Sick"

5. Kingda Ka

*SCREAMS* NOOOOO! IT WILL NOT MAKE YOU SICK! IT WILL NOT!

7. Every Looped Roller Coaster

No. Just no.

10. Roller Coasters with Inverted Drops

They are scary, but they won't make you sick.

I think TheTopTens seems like a GOLD MINE for GP comments.

Forget the GP, I don't like it when a "coaster enthusiast" rejects a flat ride under the assumption that it will make him sick or whatever. Get a grip, you claim to be better than the "general public" but you're so picky about what to ride that it just makes you look like a fool. All it does is just make the GP look so much smarter. And they can be kind of dumb sometimes.

Flat rides can't get you sick, at least not as easily as one might think.

This. I never understood people who refused to go on tilt a whirls. (I only know one person who's actually gotten very sick on one of those before) Never made me nauseous. In fact I've never been nauseous on a ride before.

It's human nature to have different opinions than other people. There are plenty of people on this site that have ridden hundreds of coasters that rank Millennium in their top 10. Enjoying Millennium Force and thinking it is an exceptional coaster is not a bad thing at all, and it doesn't make someone "GP" just because they enjoy it.

Its 100% your opinion that MF isn't a top twenty coaster, but the reality is that a lot of people disagree with you. I haven't ridden a lot of coasters because I have a busy life and don't have the opportunity to travel too far to ride roller coasters. I can still recognize that MF isn't the most intense, rip-your-face-off type coaster, but I've ridden it (and numerous other legitimate top 10 coasters (Maverick, El Toro)) dozens of times and can appreciate what it does and what it stands for.

That doesn't make me "GP" and it's not right at all to say that anyone that shares this opinion doesn't understand coasters.

Wait - what would be a scary coaster for you then? Even I would feel at least a bit nervous before my first ride on Kingda Ka, and I've already been skydiving.

And TTD is actually legit too because of the lap-bar. Maybe even scarier than Ka.

Flat rides can't get you sick, at least not as easily as one might think.

I don't know, I once got pretty blank after a spin on a Matterhorn ride, I was feeling very nauseous for some minutes... Same on this sneaky flat-ride at Europa Park:

It looks gentle, but man, I was about to throw up during the entire ride.

Coasters however don't make me feel nauseous. Except that day, after three consecutive rides on Altair during an ERT. x30...

There are physiological reasons one would feel nauseous on a ride. I am able to ride most coasters many times, but Wicked Twister makes me dizzy. I can ride Skyhawk, but not MaxAir. It's not always about being "picky" but sometimes a legitimate concern.

^This. I reject Tilt-a-Whirls not because I assume they will make me sick, but because I have been on them before, and they do. Teacups rides too. I can handle any kind of forward motion without trouble; hence coasters are great and can do whatever and I'm fine. I'm also good with Himalayas and the like because it's basically forward motion. So people are different. I'm glad tea cups are there because people enjoy them. More people having a good time = more return guests = more money for rides I like!

More to the topic at hand: Today in line for Patriot, a little girl near me asked "Is the Orient Express still here?" 1) I'm totally impressed she knows about it. 2) How do I break it to her it was dismantled before she was born? 3) Holy crap, rides I went on as a teenager were dismantled before today's kids were born....

I just cannot do Waltzers or Trampolines. I can do ANYTHING else.

This happened at the same funfair.

I got around a five minute ride on a Waltzer because only one other person was on. I almost died on that.

I then went on the trampoline and I was physically sick on that.

In 2012 or 2011 or 2010 whatever, I went on this Waltzer at Winter Wonderland Hyde Park. It was literally the fastest Waltzer I have EVER seen. It had no headrest, even! My brother almost passed out on that thing but I was fine. He was completely dead after that but after that we did the Power Tower II and went home.

I can do ANY ride, just not Waltzers or trampolines. I have these hearing things in my ears that make me more sick, though... I can do virtually infinite rides at a theme park but at funfairs, one or two is more than enough. When the ear things get out, I'll feel less sick.
