sfne2005
I just watched the El Toro video again, and noticed a similar (not exact) layout as SROS @ SFNE. Anyone else? El Toro has the same number of drops on the way out, similar right hand overbank, 2 more camels, then a couple of high banked corners (where SROS has them in helix form), then a camel after that (instead of SROS's 3 camels). Dunno, just my thoughts. That will mean it will be a great ride imo! Rich
BiCoastal Kid
It's just coincidence. Saying that that means it will be great is a bit premature. Look at Magnum and Steel Force. Both are out&back, both have helix ish turn arounds, yet a lot of people really hate Steel Force, but love Magnum. Also, I don't think there is such thing as a wooden overbank. Hercules
No such thing as a wooden overbank? I'll let you research that a little bit.
rollermonkey
^ I think he's right. While 90 degrees is too much banking for the turns it has been used on, (Hades, soon Voyage) most people consider overbanking to be more than 90 degree banked (Think Millenium Force, first and last turns), and I do not believe that has been done YET in wood. I give it until 2007 before it happens! Chris B
MagnumForce
I don't see how El Toro is anymore like S:RoS then any other free form out and back.
pupkick
Wasn't Raging Bull at SFGAm "code named" el toro, or something like that prior to and/or during construction?
ddaver177
Wooden overbanks would be sweet.
