Erik Johnson
Well we had a great time at our first TPR meet. The weather was good, the food was even better, but the group we were with was the best. Anyways, you know that I prefer pictures to tell the story so I will be posting a bunch of them over the next few hours (maybe days??). Enjoy! From a distance these people don't look too scary. I hope that the people I meet from TPR are a lot nicer than these folk. I had no idea that The Cat In The Hat passed on. Around 9:30 AM, I was wondering which coaster the TPR gang was riding......sigh. I had to visit a bunch of stores Thursday morning for my job. My first one being Albertsons at 6:00 AM. We had to take our cat Libby over to Leanne's parent's house since cats are not invited. I was pretty excited the night before Islands of Adventure's Halloween Horror Nights 15. "I'm Special!" After our soaking experiences we headed over to Universal Orlando. Oh boy! Some people really got wet on The Ripsaw Falls ride. Tummy, tummy, tummy, tummy, tummy. Mummy, mummy, mummy, mummy, mummy. But they made it through without any problems. Shamu tried to seek revenge! Elissa just noticed that her "friend" from her recent Sea World trip came to try to hinder her Rat Run fun. Elissa even took the theme of this maze to a new level by "ratting" out this stupid gate jumping kid. Elissa and Derek are ready to take on the Rat Run. The Universal employees made us run a few extra miles that afternoon. It's pretty much impossible to hear anything while the Blues Brothers show is going on, isn't it Dave? This one's for you Wally. Derek was not so lucky this time. Elissa and Derek now had one more major obstacle to pass through. Time to queue up for Stay and Scream. You know that HHN is really scary this year. The lady in front of us told us this was her second visit and that she was 23 years old. This guy was the only Universal/IOA employee of the day who knew what was going on. The operations of these parks were really strange that day. Remember our final DD Ice ride gang? Poor Robb, I guess he is the TPR pack mule. I kinda liked this house. I thought it was the best one in the sound stages area. We really were having a great time. Yes folks, its true! HHN is not for kids. We did witness some poor kid's reaction to a chainsaw dude. Its very sad that parents do not pay attention to all the warnings. Barry caught up with us for HHN. Are you sure this is the Halloween Horror Nights Event? Erik Johnson
The HHN wackiness continues! "Frank, I am getting really tired of picking up your dirty underwear off the floor all the time!" You do not want to upset any of the motorcycle gangs. Don't you know that smoking kills? Hell does not seem so bad. Elissa must have made fun of this guy. If you have any complaints about the park, you first must talk to this guy. I finally got to see the fully functional Queen's throne. No, I will leave that to Robb and Derek. Oh boy.....I might get into trouble on this visit. Leanne got pretty excited over this part. The Desperate Housewives came by to visit. How often do you see people selling beer at a theme park show? How do you sign, "Most kick ass theme park show ever?" Bill and Ted's show was our favorite attraction at HHN. Especially this one. More crazy Bill and Ted antics. Elissa stood up and cheered at this part. I knew that Johnny Depp grew up in Orlando, but I had no idea that he came back to act in the Bill & Ted Show. Mmmmmmmm....So did Daisy Duke. Most of the cast members came out at the final part of the show. Wilma sitting off the coast of Mexico. Leanne finally got her Spiderman mug. Its always good to sit down for a few minutes and eat some food. This had to be the goriest queue/pre-show movie ever made. Erik Johnson
Ok onto Day 2. We had to change our plans and go to Busch Gardens Tampa for a half-day visit on Friday because of Hurricane Wilma. Hurricane Wilma also kept the crowds away for our BGT visit as well. Ok onto pictures. I wonder how much hate mail Wally is going to send me. Only one ride on the Python though. Kumba Time!!!! 3 great Kumba rides today. These kids were smart enough to run away from the Haunted Lighthouse attraction. Everyone who needed a Cheetah Chase credit got it today. We all got to ride Elissa's first looping coaster credit. The Scorpion. There was a lot of Elissa-bashing on this ride. And none of it came from us. Poor Elissa. Our driver/tour guide was really great. He was one of the best I have ever seen (at any park). We are so screwed. Oh crap! They made Elissa navigator. You know that BGT is dead when Rhino Rally is a walk-on. No Leanne! That is the wrong Erik Johnson. Fred survived Gwazi. Funny that those who already have the Gwazi credit decided to pass on a ride today. Does Robb ever get enough food to eat? Everyone's heart just broke when we all saw this sign. The animals have come out to play. Maybe SheiKra will be sweet to us and open her ride. I think everyone else does as well. I always love skyrides. The calm before the storm. Next time you see Elissa, make sure you ask her about the SheiKra onride DVD. You get a great view on the front row. But in the back row you get some really insane airtime. Everyone seemed to really like SheiKra. When SheiKra opened up, we all got on the first ride of the day. Time for a Montu ride. Wally made a few phone calls and had BGT release a tiger after me. Oh boy...I wonder if TPR and Beer mix? Mario was serving Beer today. Robb welcomed everyone into Wally World. Erik Johnson
Dang the 30 picture limit...OK 3 more for BGT. WOW! Check out that car! Just a little preview of what to expect soon. This is the new L.A. simulator near BGT. Just a little teaser for what's to come. Erik Johnson
Well some of my Gainesville friends made fun of us for buying tickets for the Disney Halloween Event (Maybe I just need to find some new friends). I think honestly this might have been the highlight of the trip for us. (Though everything else was really really great). I knew what to expect from HHN, but MNSSHP simply blew us away with the awesome fireworks display as well as the really great parade. Plus all the candy you can eat. As Robb says, its basically like a super fastpass (5 mins on every attraction), with some really cool lighting. Anyways...onto the pictures. Leanne is all ready for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) at the Magic Kingdom. This Disney Dork thought that the Donkey from Shrek was a Disney character. Even the parking ticket was Halloween themed. I thought it was kinda neat to already see that Disney themed the toll booth to Halloween. No Dave!!!! She looks dangerous! Carlos had the best costume of the group. Yummy! Dessert Somebody decided that they wanted to be in the picture with some of Carlos's family. For some reason Guy tried to suffocate himself. Maybe he does not like the coconut game. They also had a hula-hoop contest. These kids were waiting to play the coconut game. While we were eating they brought out this basket of coconuts for some sort of children's game. Check out all that meat they serve you. We first went to Ohana's for an awesome all you can eat dinner. The monorail station area had a little Halloween theming.

Erik Johnson
Here are a few more pictures. Time to enter the park. After we walked through, they had to refill the 2nd teacup of candy. When was the last time you have seen the Walrus. Fred really was impressed with the amount of candy here. So much candy, and all for TPR. WOW! Check out that teacup! The best Disney walkthrough ever. We even got to ride Goofy's great skater coaster. I am trying to think of the last time I came to this area of the park. Here is some information about the event. Robb thought he could get even more candy on the Buzz Lightyear ride. Yes...I would like some candy. These signs marked where to pick up your free candy. They even set the old skyway station on fire for the event. We will ride that other side before we leave! Yeah! That was fun! It's Space Mountain time. Its still one of my favorite coasters..even though its 30 years old. Check out the special lighting on Space Mountain. All around Main Street there was Halloween theming galore. Everyone loves Goofy! Especially since it was his company who donated all the free candy. No Elissa, its not a hat. They give you a bag for your candy. This is going to be a lot of fun!
