Guy T. Koepp
I still can't get it to drag at all. I just updated my IOS operating sofware and I am running the latest version of Chrome. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
tinaalsgirl
Now that I understand that I'm supposed to drag up above that line, my drag'n'drop is working as is the saving of my rankings. I'm using Opera on Windows 7.
Guy T. Koepp
It's almost like the Drag box and the above the line box are on completely seperate pages. Does that make sense?

bert425
Ok. Until I find a way to make it easier, this might make it clearer. I don't have any of that on Mac Safari or a pc on Chrome and Firefox. I do have the up arrow and that is it. Sarafi and Firefox allow me to move the coasters, but do not change to the up/down arrow. Also no number on the right. Chrome allows me to drag the name but will not place it in a new position. Could some of these issues be because of personal computer settings/cookies? Not very tech savvy so I'm not sure if that makes sense. Same, I don't see any of these changes, on my PC using Firefox. i can drag/drop, but no numbering options at all. and I'm still not able to pull UP a coaster from the list (it won't scroll even when I go over the grey line). . scrolling DOWN works just fine, but not scrolling up. (hope this feedback helps!)
bert425
^ and literally 5 minutes after I posted this, i'm now able to pull coasters above the grey line, and then rank. (if someone could advise how to copy a picture of my screen here, I'd do so as an example). now, I still can't "drag up" to get the list to scroll. . so I need to move the coasters up section by section. . but once I have them in the "top 20 area" or so of my screen, THEN can drag over the grey line that will let me rank.' --> so I guess the workaround is just to pull all over the grey line, THEN once I have them all there, simply adjust the ranking using the number option. Brent York
This is awesome, but I'm wondering why you didn't go ahead and make it also serve as a coaster counter, since the structure is already there? coastercounter.com has several issues, with both the site and data, and the owner doesn't have any interest in fixing them (and is also hard to get a response from). I'm waiting for the day it just goes offline. I've looked at coaster-count.com in the past, but the design was awkward. I'm sure TPR could do a better job. Mitch's has been greatly missed. Looking forward to the poll. Thanks!

robbalvey
This is awesome, but I'm wondering why you didn't go ahead and make it also serve as a coaster counter, since the structure is already there? Two reasons: 1. And this is really the main reason - I personally find "counting coasters" to be pointless and stupid and even though I used to do it at one point, I would like to start encouraging more people NOT to do it, because it's just making people look like entitled assholes instead of having fun at parks, which is the point. 2. Do you remember when you'd get something like a "VHS/DVD Combo Player" and it wouldn't be a very good DVD player or a very good VHS player? I've always felt that you should stick to doing one thing, focus on it, and make it great. So really, the answer to your question "Why isn't it also a coaster counter" is "Because it's not a coaster counter." robbalvey
why didn't you make it serve as a coaster counter ... I'm sure TPR could do a better job. Here's a side note on what I said above... In a way, this poll sort of *IS* the "TPR Coaster Counter" in that Larry is right, we have no interest at all in helping people count insignificant kiddie rides and other bullshit coasters to assist them in "padding their count" into somehow thinking that makes them a better coaster enthusiast and a more well-rounded human, (and YES, I kid you not some people **ACTUALLY BELIEVE** this) and instead we present to you a list of coasters that TPR thinks are relevant and you should be counting! Think of it as the "no bullshit, anti-creepy enthusiasts riding kiddie coasters, actually relevant rides that matter" TPR Coaster Counter! Comeagain?
If it makes you feel like a better coaster enthusiast, you’re also welcome to click your name in the upper right corner, and select “Your Profile”. It’ll list the number of coasters you’ve ridden, and show your top 10. Feel free to share that link with all your friends to show how cool you are. K258
I am on an iPad. I can drag to reorder the ranking, but I cannot save Missing coasters: Whirlwind at Seabreeze Skyliner and Leap the Dips at Lakemont Rollo Coaster at Idlewild Maybe these aren’t world class, but some have historical significance. A.J.
Currently we're adding US coasters / parks in alphabetical order, more parks from PA will be coming soon. Bear with us, this is a HUGE undertaking. As for Maurer spinners, I could see "special" versions such as Winjas, Crush's Coaster Laff Trakk and Dragon's Fury being potentially ranked. Is there enough interest for the "off-shelf" SC2000s like Whirlwind, Steel Dragon and Undertow?

To be honest, I always thought it was a little stupid all those mediocre similar rides were included in his poll to begin with and I think I didn't even bother voting for "My Favorite Boomerang" or whatever it was, because IMO it was sort of dumb. I'll ask Chase what he wants to do. I'm honestly fine with either decision, but would lean towards not including them or only including ones that are significantly different if that was an option. Again, remember, I'd prefer this poll to be a bit more focused on what really are the best coasters and not being an overall list of "all credits." So your coaster number at coastercounter.com isn't up to date then? Anyway, point understood. I was always one who told people not to buy those VHS/DVD players. Or the VHS/TV combos. VinTheAttendant
Hi Chase. I was about half way through ranking my list yesterday when I saved my progress and left to do something else. When I came back, I got this Error 500 screen (btw, I love the error graphic, makes me laugh every time), and I continue to get this screen on different devices and browsers. This only shows on my rankings, all other webpages, including adding coasters, still function for me. While I'm here, for future coaster additions, I'd recommend Mindbender at Galaxyland to add to the list. Thanks everyone involved with the coaster poll. It looks really promising, and I can't wait to see the final product. Keep up the great work!
