odene497
Holy crap! So much new ride info so fast! This looks crazy, and definitely something pulling me west again. I've got plenty of catching up to do over there anyway.
Ed Farmer
Wow, that looks pretty good. Nice addition.
Dietcokevan
This looks like a total WTF coaster. Looks fun, but short. Look forward to riding next year!
deathbydinn
As of now, this is what I'm most excited for, it just looks so wrong! I was already hoping to head to BaB, but this makes me want to go so much more!
sammmmmy
Exciting! It looks to be Maurer. And if you go on their website they have a product called the "loop launch". Could this be it? Loop Launch Coaster
paulm12
WTF?! Maurar sohne? X car? Oh HELL no. Seriously this looks insane.
greatamerica1990sfan
YA HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! What kind of coaster is that??? Haven't seen that type before. Finally something new I can go on & IT'S A COASTER!!! I'm SO glad they got rid of Tony Hawk-I couldn't do the spinning. Oh it does look like another launch type. I wonder how many times it will go around.
cal1br3tto
I am so there. Compact launchers are always a good time. This looks like a fun little addition to the park; hopefully it lives up to all this early excitement.
odene497
I didn't read the article, so how is it going to get up that hill? Surely it isn't a spiral chain lift, and it doesn't seem like there's enough room for a launch, so.......? I was thinking the same thing...then thought if they were using LSMs they could run up and down the curves on either end a bit, maybe start with a bit of a rocking action. Then looking back at the picture, you can actually see them in the track up the first curve into the second square of the supports. Still pretty short, could be a strong launch! rcdude
Looks like a fun little ride, but I've got to wonder what the capacity is like on this thing. If it only has the single train, it could be a nightmare unless you ride first thing. I can't imagine the ride has more than two, and even then it probably would have less capacity than Pandemonium. However, it is a decent enough ride that I'm now planning a visit here next summer (hoping I can make Bay Area Bash for once).
cal1br3tto
I'll be keeping alert for info on Q-Bot availability and any restrictions. I might just brave the lines, since the park doesn't have too many rides of interest for me, but I'll be sure to check out my options before visiting. xmichellex
This coaster looks like it's going to be pretty awesome. Maybe I'll get to SFDK... someday Hopefully they'll post a vid/animation of what it will look like in action!
Gigalyte
I'm more interested in this crazy looking ride then I am for the wingrider SFGAM is getting, that loop looks like It's going to pull some major gs and those twist on the way up and down looks nuts! This may be low capacity but it looks like its going to be worth the wait imo.
Chrisrad
Wow, it's so simple, yet it looks friggin awesome! I love how so many of these new coasters suggest that designers are thinking outside of the box, and I'm also liking how the smaller, more compact coasters, are seemingly more intense (in some cases) than the massive record-breaking ones. rmrider37
really superman though, discovery kingdom has no comic themed rides. what a waste. looks kinda boring.
ANJLOVER14
^ You obviously have been on all of these types of coasters and can tell from experience how boring they are.
805Andrew
Wow. If this ends up being the coaster they announce then I'm definitely going to SFDK next year. This will fit well with the Sky themed area of the park. My only concern would be after the loop does it come straight into a halt at the station or is there more track behind the station that I can't see. It would be a shame to waste the momentum occurred after the loop. Also capacity will be an issue as it looks like only two train operation with very few seats per train (8?) will be possible unless a bunch of trains are stacked in the station. Andrewoplis
Leaked to LA Times.http://www.latimes.com/travel/deals/la-trb-six-flags-2012-rides-09201101-pg,0,6392538.photogallery HELL YES!!! BaMiTsPaT
This looks like one of the most out-of-the-box coasters that Six Flags has ever built! I can't wait to see how this project goes for them!
Angry_Gumball
By the looks from the image, it kind of looks like it won't be a portable coaster, meaning it should stay up for more than 3-4 years. Looks like there will be a new credit for next year's Bay Area Bash!
PortugePunk
ummmmm this thing looks ridiculous! i cannot wait to go home next year and get a ride.
Airtime&Gravity
Was not expecting this, and when I read SFDK got a launched coaster, I assumed it was a clone of the mini Mr. Freeze built in Indonesia. This looks amazing, and totally messed up. I 'm not sure of the capacity though, because if they only run one car like the other X-Car coasters, I see this having really long lines. Great to see a concept coaster get built, and especially one that will grab people's attention due to it looking like one you'd see in a cartoon. iplf
I've ridden Skywheel at Skyline Park. http://rcdb.com/2773.htm?p=26221 Definitely an interesting ride. The hangtime after the lifthill was insane. The one in SFDK is a launch though. When the train finished the circuit, it kept on going back and forth for awhile. I didn't particularly like the going back but it sure as hell added a nice extra touch to this ride. Because of that, the capacity was horrible.
