mejaybe
My girlfriend and I are driving to SFMM from the S.F. Bay Area this Friday. I see from some of the updates that "X" was closed, but is this only temporary or will it be down for a while because of the construction? We're hoping to ride it when we visit the park this Saturday. I would appreciate any info here. Thanks!
SonOfBeastSucks
It has been down for a while so it probably won't be back up by Saturday. Sorry!

SpectralN
X is down for a while again. They took 3 weeks of repairs to get it back up and then it went back down with same problem on Friday. Looks like it we be another 3 weeks minimum.
SpectralN
I saw the cranes today at magic mountain pulling the train from the valley point. Looks like it will take a good while, lots of people were watching, seemed like from a school or college class. Goliath had a 3 hour wait! At approx 3pm! INSANE. SpectralN
Why Did X valley 3 times in one month? What is causing this to happen?
4718
Crapola-ness? I got no idea, maybe the sudden cooler weather......or the fact that it's October and evil spirits have taken over the sections where it keeps getting stuck.
FlyingScooter
^...or maybe it's just tired. valleying three times in one month indicates a momentum/drag problem. perhaps bad bearings, bad bushings, bad luck. I doubt it's a momentum issue: Americans are not getting any skinnier, (except for Robb and his Techno-Color PatchCoat.)
4718
Maybe a few bad wheels too, if they're cranked down too hard, the friction makes them heat up and have the polyurethane blow off.
