JOSH'S AMUSEMENT ADVENTURES So the first day was driving into Cedar Point late. And I MEAN late. Finally, after a long afternoon of driving and a Culvers with new slow chefs, we're here! My first ever time to Cedar Point! Beautiful topiary of the Peanuts characters on the cause-way So beautiful! After this, there will be a lot of photos here that I took driving around to Hotel Breakers Probably the best photo I took last night, especially while driving Another shot of Valravn Top Thrill Dragster through the trees Mean Streak is beautiful... well beautiful to take pictures of, at least Slingshot all lit up! The other beautiful photo I took of Gemini and Top Thrill Dragster So that was pre-Cedar Point! Imagineer Josh Posted June 5, 2016 Author Share Posted June 5, 2016 So today I arrived at my hotel in Mason, Ohio awaiting Kings Island tomorrow, and I've synced all my photos on to the laptop and I'm ready to start the Cedar Point TR! Have fun reading! CEDAR POINT PART 1 Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force look beautiful and ready to give 70,000-ish rides today! Valravn respectively joined the giants of CP Finally! I've been dreaming of this since I was 7 years old! >Walked in the park >Top Thrill Dragster broken down... surprised? We'll catchu later We all know Pip Squeak (Oops... Pipe Scream) Isn't a coaster First coaster of ERT: MAVERICK!!! Is it a launch section? Is it a special lift hill? The world may NEVER KNOW These people are in for a real treat Despite some controversy, Maverick ended up being my new #1 Wow... can any of you imagine an actual horse having the length of the trains on this? Loved the architecture in the area Top Thrill Dragster was running! For like 10 minutes, and the park hadn't even opened yet. This was still during ERT, keep in mind What's that blue Intamin wonder peeking behind that red Intamin wonder? Second and final coaster of ERT - MILLENNIUM FORCE!! This was just exhilarating :O The drops were breathtaking... It had nice speed... It was always super smooth... (Darn it Valravn, don't drop photobombs, drop people) As the park opened, we got off of Millennium Force and headed across the road to Iron Dragon It turned out to be the first walk-on. Who needs a dragon when you have a brand new bird of death? Nice tame ride for the whole family (I could even see people outside of the TTD entrance disappointed) Coaster #4 Manti... Okay let's move on People wait patiently for the mechanics to do their magic Shinny Coaster #5 was the one, the only Magnum! Great on-ride photo, love the random kid's face in the back seat Coaster num... I mean Ride #1 is Pip Squeak WHEEE!!! Number 6, my first thought was a wooden Vertigorama Oh, that's why it's rough! It's an Arrow... Yes, we see you MF. Get out the way b*tch Coaster #7... KIDDIE CREDIT! YAASSSS! Yep, it's time to whore out! SHAKE DAT @$$, WOODSTOCK SHAKE IT! We were going back to Maverick, but someone vomited. SERIOUSLY, VOMITING IS NO REASON TO CLOSE OFF THE ENTRANCE TO THE QUEUE Ride/Credit #8 then turned out to be the (would-be RMC if Six Flags built this) Mean Streak Ride was rough, like people have said, but it wasn't terrible. The speed and intensity made up for it. Maverick is back with people on it? SIGN ME UP FOR A RE-RIDE! Come on! We shouldn't have to wait in an hour long line just because someone makes a big deal about puking! They just humped a horse! Lucky ducks! Sounds like you had a good time, and hope your next visit is well. like it so far thanks CEDAR POINT PART 3 After we re-rode Maverick, we took a quick 20 minute "intermission" in our Hotel Breakers room because we all needed a nice breather. Ah, break time's over. Hello there large coasters (Windseeker is a huge photobomb, gipejgewjgoitg) Let's go to the beach, beach, let's go get away! They, say, what they gonna say! This hotel is huge Hello Big Wheel! But, WAIT! There's more! What's that blue wonder #2 next to it? Raptor, get out of the shot! Oh, MaxAir is there too Oh, this is much better! Coaster #9 was coaster I was 3rd most excited for, the Entrance Guarder After GateKeeper, finally we got to the new one! Val-Eagl! I personally really love this shot Okay Google-- Do a Valravn barrel roll This made my Top 10 drops I do wish they could have had a splashdown :/ Hello Windseeker, I know you're there too Looks like Top Thrill Downtime was taking a step out it's comfort zone CCMR, random shot Waste of money if you ask me Hey kids, wanna jump under a Giant Inflatable Snoopy's @$$? WHEEE!!! Wouldn't the dragon be too busy sleeping in gold rather than giving rides to strangers? Number 11 we got Corkscrew Number 12, finally we're at Raptor Love the speed heading down that drop I thought they were trying to look prehistoric, not Chinese-Mystical Wow, this photo turned out to be a lot prettier than I meant No queue line! Thanks for those words, yeah Rougarou probably is smoother (I never got to ride Mantis). The only B&M Stand-up I've ridden is Georgia Scorcher, so I probably got a better exposure than Mantis. FINAL CEDAR POINT UPDATE How could you not ride Raptor when the lines are so short? See? Raptor doesn't deserve lines this short! Hasta la vista, dinosaurs My last two rides of the night (Which I got no photos of) were Wicked Twister and Blue Streak. Bye Cedar Point! Hope to catch you within the next couple years! AND NOW... My guess is that since you are only 14, the park probably didn't give pre-approval, but hopefully you can prove us wrong. Edit: I just checked the parks website and it strictly states no photography/video on anything but the railroad. I will admit guilt in posting pics from the Skyride - this despite asking beforehand if it was okay. In lieu of this, I have pulled all Skyride photos from my report. Assuming nobody finds you in the action of breaking park rules risking being ejected from the park potentially for life, you also risk losing the camera and risking your and others' safety. In the end, if everything goes perfectly, you end up with a really, really crappy POV that you could find on YouTube done by professionals. None of the attendants here OR at KI suspected a thing As someone who had a chunk of a day at a park ruined by some twat-waffle losing loose articles on a coaster last Monday, I'll echo the notion that you shouldn't be a dumbass. There isn't a single noteworthy ride in North America that doesn't have a P.O.V. already filmed. And its P.O.V. is done at a much higher quality to boot. LiftThrill Posted June 20, 2016 Share Posted June 20, 2016 I think the filming was more of an issue than wearing the glasses, I saw a ton of people wearing sunglasses (though usually with a strap) even on rides like Maverick, MF, and TTD. The ride attendant went up and grabbed it out of their hand and the attendant mentioned at least five times before we rode about no videos, or picture taking of any kind! I haven't been here since 2008, when I was 7 years old! The skyline had changed since I had last been there. No more giant, painful RCCA wooden coaster This entrance is so 'Ew!' Mandatory shot Testing, testing, testing! I thought we were at Kings Island, not Disneyland Paris Or is it Disneyland? The Italian Job Stunt Coaster hasn't changed since '08 We have to head to the park of the park for our first ride! Which is... Racer? Nah, just kidding. Ride #1 was X-Fli... I mean Firehawk! If you find me and my Dad in this picture, you get a cookie Being completely honest, this was better than the Superman clones Flight of Fear wasn't open so we had to skip that... I MUST WIN THIS GAY MONKEY!!!! After I won my ape, we made a quick stop at the Dodgems. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them, it's pretty small to hold all those cars. *Noted and new profile picture! See what I mean? Too many cars! Coaster #2 ~ Backlot Stunt Coaster This was the biggest coaster I rode here when I was 7 At least Kings Island can stay true to their effects *cough*cough* Cedar Point *cough* Rougarou *cough* B&M is special this way You can ka-ching my head later, Arrow NOTED "I don't care I'm being chased by the cops honey! Besides, you're always telling me I need to spend more time with my daughter!" KINGS ISLAND PART 2 Just like that Prius commercial! Almost ready for us Let's... get our credit later tonight Marching Band! Shu-NAZZY! How massive can you get? No... I was talking about my finger, the coaster is average-sized Yep, it wasn't announced yet when I went to the park Okay that's enough finger photos. Let's get to Planet Snoopy for the creds Time for the Whore-Stock Express of Southern Ohio! A line this long? For a family coaster? That's, like an actual plus side to Six Flags! Not cool Such a brave little soul Best Kids Area is awesome, but they really don't need a new Chevy SUV to make Surf Dog look sexy Holy crap, that's creepy Up next was the family-size Mind Eraser See? Even the youngster *ahem* GP DON'T LIKE VEKOMA! I spy with my little eye some leftover Paramount Parks paperwork! Or, P3! Yeah, nobody really cared about this one that day Bye Planet Snoopy! We (probably won't) catch you again soon! This place had surprisingly good food, which was unexpected. Nice job with this one Cedar Fair... or Paramount... or whoever owned the place at the time this was built! Nobody really cared about this one that day either This probably held a ride at one time or another, right? After lunch we rode the Beast. DAMMIT FINGER!! WHY!? WHY!? Who doesn't love riding the Beast with no line!?!? I think we picked the right day to come here Hello butt! This is the last photo for now, the last thing I have to say is that Beast was very underrated. Not nearly as ok as people have said.
