Coaster Wars: Attack of the Clones

Recommended Posts

Say you place clones of Top Thrill Dragster at SFOG, BGT, SFGAm, WoF, SFOT, and CGA... Does that not instantly become the longest line at those parks by a wide margin? Does placing those copies across the US decrease the lines of TTD at CP or Kingda Ka at SFGAdv?
No because most people aren't traveling from those states to ride TTD or KK

The only clones I have a problem with are SLCs, like they just subject people to pain. I understand they're cheap to build and easy to maintain but why torture your guests?

Because some people actually like SLCs

Well back then most coasters were still painful. SLC is cheap, compact, reliable, high capacity, has 5 inversions and Vekoma has excellent after sales team. Most GP back then didn't really know what a smooth coaster is anyway. So yeah I can totally see why SLC was everywhere back in the 90's and early 2000's.

Okay, for those who hate clones, what about Intamin mega lites?

I'd sell my unborn child to be able to have one in the U.S.

Be careful what you wish for. You never know who's listening.
