JordyC
Hello everyone! On 25 March 2016, I went to Walibi Holland to check out their new coaster for 2016; Lost Gravity. But that's not the only reason why I visited this park *Cough Goliath Cough* Walibi Holland is a great park that focuses a lot on teenagers. It is not really a Theme Park, although some of their rides are really well themed. But enough talking, let's check it out! EDIT: I'm sorry, but there was something wrong with the pics. I hope everything is okay now. Welcome to Six Flags Holland! Woops, I mean Walibi World. No no, Walibi Holland... The park looks nice, unfortunately the weather wasn't that great.. It was drizzling all day. First ride of the day; Xpress: Platform 13 It's a Vekoma Launch Coaster. It has nearly the same layout as the "Rock 'n' Roller Coaster" models at the Disney Parks. Pretty hard to take some good photos of this coaster. The ride was fun, but I still prefer the Disney model. The gardens tour, if you need a tour through the gardens.. The Mainstreet, with the giant Ferris wheel. It is bigger than I thought (That's what she said) They have a Rapid River! I didn't make this photo for the boats.. A mexican flat ride thingy.. Next up, the Vekoma SLC of the park.. El Condor! It was the prototype of the SLC's. Do I have to say more? At least it looks good with the fresh paint. I like! It is definitely not the smoothest SLC out there.. I was happy when I made it to this point of the ride, because then I knew I survived.. Some bumper cars. Space Shot! A fun S&S Power Tower, with some good airtime at the top. Launching! The moment when your heart starts beating faster.. GOLIATH! Climbing Goliath's lift hill. For those cable lift enthusiasts out there. Intamin knows how to make good coasters. Fast, great airtime and an amazing layout. Empty station. Aaaaaand into the brakes. I absolutely *LOVE* this coaster! Still the best coaster in this park, by far. Rain doesn't stop Goliath! HAIRTIME! Robin Hood, the wooden coaster of the park. It is a Vekoma woodie. Only 3 of those woodies were built. First drop. It is a bumpy ride. Vekoma + wood = not that smooth.. Bit of airtime here and there. The ride was fun and that's what it's all about, right? Excalibur; another Huss Topspin The park is beautiful. They also have a log flume, called Crazy River. Station of the ride. The double drop is a lot of fun! Next coaster: Drako. It's a Zierer Tivoli. What more do I have to say? Tomahawk. Walibi Play Land, the kids area. Some great theming. No water today, the clouds were giving us plenty of it. Splash Battle. Next up, Speed of Sound. One of the best looking Vekoma Boomerangs out there, in my opinion. It has a tunnel, and it is random. Cobraroll, gotta love it. It has those new trains with a vest restraint. Underneath the loop. I actually really liked it! It's one of the better ones. Loop the loop. And now, the newest coaster of the park. With its funky colors and weird theming.. Lost Gravity! I was expecting more from this turn, but it was just nice and slow. The first half of the ride has some great airtime! Mack Rides is really showing what they are capable of. I like those new trains. The outer seats are defintely the best ones. The first drop is really disorientating, and that's a good thing!! Lost Gravity through the trees. The first half is about speed. While the second half is a lot 'calmer'. Some strange theming.. Trees upside down, why not? The part after the MCBR focuses a lot more on inversions and the hangtime. Some cool effects while you are passing the Zero-G Roll. It looks very good! Love it. Some great airtime is all we need. The ride is smooth, not quite like a B&M, but it's getting close. Hmm.. Running out of captions. I love the trains! Coming out of the Dive drop. Really, the outer seats are the best! Some great hangtime! You can get really close to the ride. Coming out of the Zero-G Roll. This strange element felt uhm.. Weird, I guess? But it was fun! Random people having a good time! Great ride! Yes, you can use containers to theme a coaster! What a beauty! A closer look at this weird element thingy.. Best seat? The outer left one in the back. It is a lot of fun! Mack & Walibi did a pretty awesome job! Well done! One last photo of Lost Gravity. I hope you guys enjoyed it! Edited March 26, 2016 by JordyC
SharkTums
Thanks for the report! The trains really do look weird on Lost Gravity with people in them! Almost look wrong! Excited to visit this summer (and not ride the SLC!)
rcjp
Nice report! Lost gravity looks like a fun funky ride and given the other coasters they have I'm starting to feel the need to visit the park.

Superbatboy
Great photos! Gives a perspective of the park i've never seen, it's a very quirky looking park and LG fits in perfectly from what I can see.
tanthonyam
It's a Mack? Looks like a Gerstlauer at first glance. Very similar to THE SMILER. Love that extreme first drop! Here is a video from Youtube.
KBrylczyk
Nice photos! I can't believe people are actually riding the rapids ride in March in Holland. They truly are insane, haha.
RCT3Bross
Nice photos! I can't believe people are actually riding the rapids ride in March in Holland. They truly are insane, haha. I was there the same day and rode the log flume, it was great a boat all to myself and no queue. Great Photo's I love the joke about the park's name they really can't choose. Murfie
^Same goes for the general theming of the park. With Platform 13 and Lost Gravity they are going for pretty much random theming compared to old stuff like Robin Hood that's still around from earlier.. Thanks for the cool report! The new coaster actually looks better in these pics than the ones I saw before, I'm definitely gonna check it out myself in the next few months. I wonder how the GP is gonna respond to it and where it's gonna rank in terms of popularity.
JordyC
Nice report! Lost gravity looks like a fun funky ride and given the other coasters they have I'm starting to feel the need to visit the park. You won't be disappointed! It is a great park with some very good coasters. Great Photo's I love the joke about the park's name they really can't choose. Thanks! Haha, exactly! Most people still call it Six Flags. The new coaster actually looks better in these pics than the ones I saw before, I'm definitely gonna check it out myself in the next few months. Thanks! And yes, it is totally worth it! It is a good coaster; a crazy first drop and some good airtime. It is not as good as Goliath though, but it is pretty hard to beat that anyway. I wonder how the GP is gonna respond to it and where it's gonna rank in terms of popularity. On the day I went, I heard nothing but positive comments from the GP. I think it's going to be a very popular ride!

CaptainChaotika
I think the trains look cool, and the seats are super comfy. Nice TR btw, was (mostly) there On the 24th, only was able to ride Lost Gravity once on the 25th. As I had to leave till 11AM. Don't complain about the weather, the day before was pretty horrible and Goliath was really underwhelming, barely had any good airtime ...might be due to all that water and coldness or so. But RobinHood was surprisingly good that day.
JLFG
Never paid much attention to this park until now. Looks like they have a great collection of flat rides and coasters and seem to be running all of them even on a rainy day, really nice. On my bucket list to visit from now on for sure. Barge84
Thanks for the great report! I'll be making my first trip to Walibi in July, so it's nice to see some pictures of the park. I'm most excited about Goliath, but Lost Gravity looks like a lot of fun.
yay101
Thank you for the trip report! I really like the layout and oddly I think the random upside down trees and sideways street are really cool. America needs more rides like this.
TheCoasterKid211
Thank you for the trip report! I really like the layout and oddly I think the random upside down trees and sideways street are really cool. America needs more rides like this. America also was the country that outlawed Tagadas, so I'm not having as high hopes. Great TR, and seriously, Lost Gravity is an impressive-looking coaster! JordyC
I think the trains look cool, and the seats are super comfy. Yes indeed. The seats and the restraints are very comfy. I think the trains are looking good. They are weird, but they look good. Excited to visit this summer (and not ride the SLC!) It was the first ever SLC, don't you want to experience a bit of roller coaster history?
