Jack's recovery is nothing short of miraculous!! He'll bulldoze through in-patient PT and once he gets home he'll improve by leaps and bounds. Still a very long road ahead with a lot of changes and struggles for everyone in the family, no doubt about it, but he's making great strides. WTG Jack

My photo print (Maelstrom) arrived today, and it's just beautiful!

And I'm so glad to see Jack improving.

Best Wishes and Good Health to him, and his family.

Still posting daily updates to the GoFundMe: www.gofundme.com/jackcrouse

To give you all an update though, Jack is doing so much better now! His physical therapy recovery has been doing amazing! While it will still be a couple of months before he can fully function again and maybe be out of a wheelchair, he's at least off his oxygen now, back to eating a fairly normal diet, and other than needing to regain strength, the doctors say he's medically very healthy! It's simply amazing how far he's come. If you didn't believe in doctors and medical science before, you most certainly should now! Some recent photos of Jack:

Jack in his wheel chair, but at least he's able to get around a bit better now.

Jack is finally able to wear normal clothes and take a shower! Life is getting better!

Yes!!! I can eat pizza again! No more of this "food in a blender!!!"

We still also have a handful of his photo prints available here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/store/index.php?categoryID=4

Proceeds go towards his GoFundMe. Yes he's getting better, but he's still out of work for quite some time!

Jack Crouse is going home!!! What an incredible journey the last 70 days have been! Jack's recovery these past few weeks has just been amazing and tonight we celebrated his "farewell dinner" on his last night at the hospital before he goes home tomorrow.

We have been just blown away by the support that has been shown to Jack over the last few months watching family, close friends, and even complete strangers donate to the GoFundMe and give the family the strength they need to get through a very difficult time.

It's not *quite* over. Jack still has a lot of physical therapy left to do, but the road to his overall recovery is much clearer now and he should be up walking around the parks taking pictures in no time!

Way to go, Jack! So glad to see you on your feet again!

What incredible news! Seeing how severely ill Jack was so recently, but he's now eating pizza again?!? Holy Cow! (Edit: Even better news is that Jack is now apparently on his way home?!)

Doctors and current medical sciences are INDEED mind-blowing! Woohoo! I (and multiple family members) am(are) testimonies to that fact! Then again, we also believe "a little bit of prayer can go a long way"!

  • 2 weeks later...

Want to give everyone a little update...

Jack is doing FANTASTIC! He's been doing in-home physical and occupational therapy 3 days a week with the hospital staff and then doing additional exercising on his own.

But the best therapy has just been him getting out and going back to "normal life" things - eating out at restaurants, going to movies, hanging out with friends, and even dancing with zoo animals! (Well maybe not *quite*)

While Jack is currently still in a wheelchair, he is able to walk on his own without the walker much more than he was a few weeks ago, and it gets better each day.

He's on a road to full recovery which is just amazing considering where things were two months ago!

Awesome job, Jack! You got this!!!
