Where Are You Going in 2016?

Recommended Posts

For all you early planners like me, where are you going next year? I'm already lining up my trips for next year:

Absolutely:

Silver Dollar City

Worlds of Fun

Probably:

Adventureland

Arnolds Park

Nickelodeon Universe

Valleyfair

Como Town

Spirit Mountain

Possibly:

Cedar Point

King's Island

Indiana Beach

Kentucky Kingdom

Michigan's Adventure

Doubtful at this point but trying to make it work:

Dollywood

Holiday World

For myself, it will have to include flying some where, any where I choose, be it for a tour, an extended weekend, or something else.

There isn't really anything close to where I am, that driving to would be easier and less costly. And I'd have to rent a car for that, too.

Saying that, this might make for a much shorter planning (and saving) time period than I am used to, in past years.

So - nothing planned, for now. But I am still saving up, for whatever I do decide to do in 2016.

Maybe back to Edmonton and a Mindbender re-ride? Hmmm. (o;

My no brainers pretty much stay the same every year since they require no real planning (Hersheypark, Knoebels, SFGAdv, SFNE, Lake Compounce), but I'm sure I'll make a return trip to Playland Castaway Cove this year

Possible 2016 trips(in order of likeliness to happen)

Dollywood(if I head down there for Smoky Mountain Christmas next month, I'll buy a 2016 Season Pass)

Spring Break trip to BGT and Orlando parks

Lagoon and Colorado parks

Drive to Cedar Point. Kings Island, Holiday World, Kentucky Kingdom and Kennywood

Week is California to hit all major parks in NorCal and SoCal

Besides my home parks (Valleyfair and Nick Universe), the only other park I know I'm going to for sure is Adventureland (Iowa). I might try to squeeze in a trip to Worlds of Fun or Six Flags Great America somewhere.

Orlando Parks in Nov for 2016 IAAPA?

All of the non-CA parks will hopefully be done in one large trip (basically a giant loop if all works out). The trip is focused around riding 2 RMCs (Lightning Rod, Storm Chaser), 7 huge new B&M's for me (Fury 325, Leviathan, Behemoth, Valravn, Banshee, GateKeeper, and Thunderbird), the HW woodies, RFII, Phantom's Revenge, Lightning Run, and the Rides of Steel-clones.

*I starred the new parks for me, and each revisited park has a major incentive for revisit!

My goal is to ride any remaining top 10 US-coasters. As of right now I've been on every major Intamin (except the Ride of Steel-clones and some random ones), 47/60 B&M's, 5/6 RMC's, and nearly all acclaimed woodies. This trip next year would decimate my US bucket list.

...And then maybe Europe in 2017?!

Sure Thing

- Six Flags Great America

Beyond that, I'd like to do a loop trip that includes the following:

- Cedar Point

- Kings Island

- Carrowinds

- Dollywood

- Kentucky Kingdom

- Holiday World

Not sure where that trip stands though... I'd like to do that over 8 days, but not sure any friends will be up for it... Still trying to work out planning that out... This will be the first tome I'll be trying something of that magnitude... Probably will end up trimming that down significantly

Might also fly somewhere warm during the Winter... Maybe Magic Mountain, but that hasn't gotten past a few Kayak searches just to get cost ideas...
