K1ngdaKa88 Posted September 23, 2015 Share Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) Hi Guys At the moment I'm building a new K'nex Coaster. It's a rebuild of Cedar Points Top Thrill Dragster. Fot that I had to demolish the coaster that was there before, the Swiss Overthrow, a K'nex Eurofighter. The height of Top Thrill Dragster will be 100 times smaller that the original, so 4,2ft! The structure is very similar to Top Thrill Dragster's structure, not like on my K'nex Kingda Ka. To brake down the coaster car, I'm using a magnetic brake like on my K'nex Zumanjaro. http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1502800#p1502800 The coaster is nearly completed after just 4 hours of demolishing and building, but the drop looks like it's a chinese knock-off! All I have to do is to place the final turn and some TTD theming! (Attention: This is NOT the continue of my Twisted Colossus Project! That happens at my mother's home and the Top Thrill Dragster at my father's home.) Now, let's look at some construction pics: Building up TTD Ahh, here the are! And the track connectors?? Where is the track gone? It's getting taller... ...and taller... So it is how it looks now. That looks so SMOOTH! And over the top! Trackwork has begun! ...and taller! Try playing with some of the track connectors and see if you can't get it to be a little higher and a little smoother. Other than that it's look good. All I have to do now is to complete the Station and put the Magnets on the 2nd car. Since the last update I completed the track, made the Finish sign, built a rollback brake, started building the station and made the 270 dergree roll on the drop smoother!
