K1ngdaKa88
Over a month ago, to be exactly on Saturday 8/8/15 I went to Belantis in Leipzig, Germany. I went to eastern Germany because my mum went to some Friends in Dresden over the weekend to visit a medival festival, but I don't like such stuff. Instead I could take the train and go to Belantis on Saturday and to Freizeitpark Plohn on Sunday. So let's get started: I got up at about 6am to leave at 7am. I took the tram to the Main Station of Dresden. There I took the IC to Leipzig and there the Tram and Bus to Belantis. I arrived at 9:45am, 15 minutes before the park opened. Because it was a sunny Saturday I thought that the park would be full, but the lines weren't longer than 10 minutse, excepted on the only water ride in the park, there it was about 30 minutes. So this time I won't write as much as in other TR's, so let's go to the photos: Uhh, I'm there The ride itself is okay, but the atmosphere in the station with the theming and sounds, fabulous! A sideways tilting kiddie drop tower Wet/Dry Slides Open slides: Dry Tube slide: wet First I went on the new Family Coaster called "Cobra des Amun Ra" with a well themed Station. Nice little lake in the center of the park Entry Oh and a new family coaster! Where are the coasters? Ah, there's a Gerstlauer Eurofighter Next the Gerstlauer Sky Fly Huss Condor Best seat IMO was in the middle In line for the water ride at 90F! And the only thing I saw was that! It was a fun ride And ejector Airtime on the first drop which was awesome! The rest of the coaster was one big rattle! Climbing up the Lifhill Lift hill thru the Tower Oh, Gerstlauer Bobsled Coaster? Jep, Wild mouse with (banked) Helix of death Gerstlauer Eurofighter And a funny water family ride Oh and Cobra got stuck! The Pyramid looked nice A little Airtime never hurts So, and here day 1 ends, tomorrow you'll see the Photos of my visit at Freizeitpark Plohn. And the other rides too Belantis Can you flush the toilet please? Weee Edited September 22, 2015 by K1ngdaKa88
viking86
Nice trip report! I haven't really heard much great things about Belantis, but the park itself looks quite nice from the pictures you posted. Though your comment about Huracan seems to reflect pretty much everything I've heard about that ride.

Plus, I read one of the old TR's from Robb, and apparently the boats on the flume ride are inflated? WHAT?? K1ngdaKa88
and apparently the boats on the flume ride are inflated? WHAT?? Jep, that's also a very strange feeling! Imagine: you're sitting on a hard plate which is wobbling around (especially while getting on/off the Lifthill!) and the back rest is fixed with the boat and the floor is just a thick plastic like in a river rafting Boat! SharkTums
Pretty sure Belantis was the only park ever that our group voted to leave early and give up our ERT! It's such a shame that the Eurofighter is so rough. The rest of the park was fine, but it's clearly missing a signature ride.

No no, we all got the credits, but we were supposed to stay till close and then have ERT on the Eurofighter. We had done Plohn in the morning and this park in the late afternoon. We all ended up leaving at park close instead because no one wanted to ride it again after riding once!
K1ngdaKa88
^actualy I rode it 3 Times! But only because I was bored and I really liked the first drop! The rest I survived with stretching my head forwards and trying to eliminate some neck pain with holding on the OTSR by the neck! I have to say that Cobra was my favourite coaster in the park! Favourite ride was Götterflug.
canadianparkfan
And in less than a year's time, even the Sky Roller won't be unique... All TPR will have to do is travel to Toronto instead of overseas to Europe.
_koppen
That Eurofighter right there is what Hitler and Stalin is riding over and over again in the deepest level of hell. Edit: Great photos by the way! Edited September 22, 2015 by _koppen
StealthFan
The park does look like it has loads of potential and could be great if it had a major ride. That "log flume" is weird though, I imagine it gives your backside quite the massage. Great trip report.

That "log flume" is weird though, I imagine it gives your backside quite the massage. Great trip report. The park has a lot of potential! The Water ride gives you more kinda of an a$$ massage because the seat and back rest are squishing it! Now, let's continue with Day 2: Freizeitpark Plohn I got up again at 6am to get on the tram on 7am. I arrived at the train station somwhere in Germany where I had to wait 45 min for the next Bus to depart. But after 25 minutes another train arrived and two guys from Berlin stepped out, the same guys I met at Europapark. We took the bus to Plohn, but we missed our Exit so we had to wait for the next Bus in the other direction. Luckily it was only 30 minutes because that bus goes only once every 3 hours!! At all we arrived about one hour later than expected. We had a fun day and here I have a Video for you: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Here I have a POV of the Rafting Water Slide where the boat got stuck: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Videos are fine, but you're here to see the pics, so let's go. And I finished that fun day with my favourite Food: Sushi! Yummy I hope you liked reading this Photo TR Ohh, and it's next to a woodie! This ride had the longest line due it only had 3 trains and only one adult and a child could sit in one car! New for 2015: Miniwah, an Mack Indoor Powered Coaster Next: We are on the Log Flume, We are on the Log Flume,... And nice themed paths Finally we got the right bus stop, here we are Entry Oh and did I mention how long the wait time for El Toro was? Wacky Worm, worst coaster in the park! And TWISTY AIRTIME The drop goes into an banked turn And more Airtime Thru the tunnel Over the Water Next was an kiddie coaster called Plohseidon, actualy it's nearly an Aquatrax because it is completely over the water! Sadly you can't see it very well on this picture. Crazy spinning rapids Boat Slide Kiddie Drop tower An Awesome GCI Woodie, better than Wodan at Europapark
canadianparkfan
Great TR!.. Neat to see the "other" El Toro that most of us probably won't get to ride.

I can't tell how the El Toro is which most here have ridden! But El Toro at Plohn is a good GCI.
TheCoasterKid211
That spinning rapids ride looks insane! The park looks great, but it looks like it could use a few expansions... Maybe a new coaster?... Aw, who am I kidding? THIS PARK NEEDS AN INTAMIN!
K1ngdaKa88
That spinning rapids ride looks insane! The park looks great, but it looks like it could use a few expansions... The Rapids ride was insane! It's a small but a very nice park. But this Park is still larger than you think because several areas are a bit "hidden" in the forest! Maybe a new coaster?... Well, this small park has 5 coasters, the newest one opened this year! But 4 out of these 5 are kiddie coasters! + the GCI! Aw, who am I kidding? THIS PARK NEEDS AN INTAMIN! It would be awesome, but we need to wait because they just got a new coaster so they will wait a bit!
SharkTums
I remember really liking Plohn. The park was well themed and had a ton of fun attractions. I also remember El Toro being one of the most forgettable GCI's out there.

K1ngdaKa88
Even a kiddie coaster looks almost like an Aquatrax! [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
Philrad71
Looks like a really neat little park. Despite it not having a real signature ride other than El Toro, the log flume looks like fun and that raft ride looks downright insane. I would bet that they probably have decent food and good beer available too, so that would be a nice bonus!
K1ngdaKa88
I only had pasta I think, but it was good! El Toro is their signature ride. And now with Miniwah, they have a nice themed indoor powered coaster.
