curious what the actual ride car looks like. Do you have a photo of it?

I definitely agree! The Reverchon/ Zamperla Spinning coasters are fun, but it would be nice to see some of them get converted as the swinging cars do look like fun! I was quite amazed by them when I had seen them in a test video for the first time a couple of years ago!

Agreed. Drifting Coaster looks really fun, and looks like you get some nice swings on it! I'd love to see these catch on! You know. . . maybe at a US park!!

Last friday I visited the Fun Fair in Pfäffikon SZ, which is a pretty small fun fair, but there was one big attraction, a 85m (280ft) tall Fun Time starflyer which is new 2016 and it's the tallest transportable starflyer in the world! The other rides were:

- Bumping cars

- breakdance

- kiddie ride

- family slide

On Saturday 20th August I visited the Fun Fair in Wetzikon, Switzerland.

 

I went there with Alexander, a Fun Fair enthusiast. After a one hour train ride I arrived there. On the Fun Fair was the 80m tall Funtime Freefall tower called Spin Tower (with the spinning gondola). There were many different rides threre like Monster, a KMG Afterburn; Spuk, ghost train "rollercoaster"; Top Spin; Break Dance; Ferris Wheel; Slide; Wacky Worm; Disco Express; Chair Swing; Carousel; a Fun House; Swing up, which got some refurbishments and new pain the last winter. The weather forecast said rain all afternoon and evening, but it startet to rain at around 9pm, so we were prety lucky. One thing that was quite sad is that they actually announced that there will be the Drifting Coaster, but it couldn't come, so they put this ghost train there, which is IMO not a rollercoaster!

About the Break Dance, it was my first ever Fun Fair Break Dance and it made heck of a lot of fun

On Monday 22nd August I went to the Fun Fair in Wädenswil, Switzerland after School.

 

After School was finished I took the train to Wädenswil to visit the Fun Fair. I actually just went there for one credit. When I arrived, I had a train home just in 10 minutes, so I thought I'll be able to ride the coaster and then get on the train, but it failed. While I was riding the coaster, the train just departed, you can even see the train departing in the POV I made. But it wasn't that bad, due I have a train home from there every 30 minutes, so after I rode the coaster I walked around the fair and made some photos, which I'll show you now:

80m tall funtime Starflyer, but 10.- (about 10$) is IMO too much

Thanks for sharing these great photos of fun fairs in Switzerland! I enjoy seeing photos of older classics such as the Mack Calypso and Huss Swing Around still traveling. You just don't see these rides traveling the midways here in North America anymore.

BTW, this was my first ride on a Fun Fair Break Dance and it was awesome and my stomach was alright afterwards.

From tomorrow 28th August till Tuesday 30th August it is Fun Fair in my hometown. The las couple days I've went to the place to check out the construction progress. On Tuesday, just a few rides were there, the Bumper Cars, Kiddie Ride & Disco Express.

On Wednesday there were several more rides, Spin Tower, Insider (Break Dance), Freestyle, The Burner & a walk thru attraction.

I even go to see how they put up the inner base tower from the 80m tall Funtime Freefall tower, I made a time lapse of it and you can watch it here on my Instagram profile

No, there isn't one, the only ride that has similarities is a walk thru attraction with thousands of lights inside and those glasses where you see everything different.

So, finally here are the photos from the Fun Fair in Einsiedeln from last Sunday till Tuesday. Overall it was a quite good fun fair and I had a lot of fun there. The rides, at least those I've ridden, were fun. Especially the 267ft tall Funtime freefalltower. But one thing that disturbed me a bit was it's price. While the Swiss Towe coast last year 8CHF (about 8$), the Spin Tower cost 10CHF. But in Lucerne the Spin tower also just cost 8CHF per ride. But it's still a great ride.

Last Saturday I went to the Basler Herbstmesse (Autumn fair), which is one of the largest fun fairs in Switzerland and in the middle of the city on several places. I went there by train and met some friends at the train station. We then went together over the fair. Because this text would be too long if I write something about every ride, I'll tell you the 3 best things I've experienced there.

First the 80m tall Spin Tower, I got the most thrilling ride on any drop tower there because it was first inside a big hole of a building and second were we sitting on this side of the tower where we got near-miss-of-death. It was frightening and awesome as well!

The second thing was on Crazy Run, where they played the countdown which you can hear at the end of Euro Sat's lifthill at Europapark! Then my friend said he had this as well in Lucerne and then on Octopus the Euro Mir music. And the third thing was, of course they played the Euro Mir music while I was on the Octopus! My stomach almost bursted because I was laughing so hard on the Octopus! (video comming soon)

 

We had a very funny and great day in Basel.
