larrygator
I've never had this happen with a major ride, sometimes it happens to me with a dark ride, but never with a major ride.
cfc
I'll go along with Comet at Hersheypark. It's a fun, old-school woodie that no one talks much about.
Barge84
I think some people are answering a different question than what the thread is asking. This isn't an underrated ride thread, this is rides that you yourself forget about. Â Someone mentioned it earlier, but I like the choice of Bizarro at SFGAdv. I always enjoy the ride, but I never think about it until I'm over by El Toro and heading into that back corner of the park.
fraroc
^Same with Lightning Racer and Fahrenheit. I believe that Hershey has one of the most underrated collections as a whole. Wildcat was the only coaster there that I dislike. Â I concur. Â And Wildcat's not even that bad of a ride, it just needs work. And badly.
Philrad71
I'm gonna go with.... Â Â Cuda Falls. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Oh wait. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â DRINK!!!!
mike541x
I'm going to have jump on the Fahrenheit bandwagon too. I almost forgot the ride existed before my visit last year.
ajfelice
Understandable since this park is fairly small and not frequented as often as other parks, but Silver Comet at Martin's Fantasy Island packs quite the punch, yet is rarely mentioned or discussed when it comes to wooden coaster conversations. This CCI sleeper hit has a great combination of airtime and laterals all while keeping smooth and maintaining speed throughout the ride. I love this coaster and the few reviews from others are very positive in general, but even I find myself forgetting about it despite being less than two hours away from me. Geauga Dog
Maybe this doesn't quite fit the question but for me it's Adventure Express at Kings Island. As many times as I might pass the entrance between Coney Mall and Action Zone it doesn't grab my attention thus I forget it's even there.
LuminousAphid
I will submit Corkscrew @ Silverwood- first coaster with an inversion (besides neckbreakers like Flip Flap Railway: Link) and it's actually quite good for an old Arrow. I thought I would just hop on once for the history, but I went back to ride it multiple times on multiple days, which is saying something. Â Also Timber Terror. Amazing. SFOG1991
I got to say prowler at worlds of fun. No one gives it the proper credit it deserves. It is truly one of the best wooden coasters in most of the united states, and is arguably the best GCI. I mean seriously it has 14 moments of actual airtime. Not to mention a relentless pace and astonishing night rides. Â Oh one more. Powder Keg at Silver Dollar City! I haven't been on Prowler, but considering all the other newer GCIs, I believe it! Â American Thunder, White Lightning, and Goldrusher are all AMAZING and on another level from pre-2008 GCIs (except for Thunderhead which holds its own with the newer GCIs). Schrecken
One that I have forgotten during more than one visit to the park is Wicked Twister at CP. I know at least a few times I'd be there at CP with some friends, and suddenly someone would say "hey, let's ride Wicked Twister", and then I was thinking "yeah, that's right - there IS an Intamin impulse coaster in this park!". I haven't been back since Disaster Transport was removed, and back then WT kind of got lost in the background clutter with DT looming there in that big building by the beach. I'm guessing it may be harder to overlook now that DT is gone. Â And despite my local familiarity with SFA, I know at least a couple of times I forgot about Batwing being way back there in the dead end of the park. Â When I went to Valleyfair a few years ago, I might well have not noticed Excalibur had my friend and I not been given a tour by a local coaster fan who made sure we got back there to ride it. Â At KD I often forget about Backlot Stunt Coaster being there due to its location and it being on the way to the star of the coaster show, I-305. Same thing with grizzly - it is quite literally hidden away.
Superbatboy
^Same with Lightning Racer and Fahrenheit. I believe that Hershey has one of the most underrated collections as a whole. Wildcat was the only coaster there that I dislike. I agree with this!! Not only is their collection underrated, but so unique and different from any other park. DoinItForTheFame
I was browsing on RCDB.com and I found another roller coaster that I had forgot even existed. Â Dare Devil Dive at SFOG. Not because it is a bad ride or anything, but simply because when I think of SFOG I think of Goliath, and forget that Dare Devil Dive is even there. Anyone else have this problem?? DarienLaker
Twister at Darien Lake, every time I go to Darien Lake for some reason I pass up on riding Twister, but it's not like I've forgotten about it because I pass on the way to Motocoaster. TheCoasterKid211
Kumba at BGT, it's always a walk-on for whatever reason.
DJeXeL
I'm going to have jump on the Fahrenheit bandwagon too. I almost forgot the ride existed before my visit last year. Â It's a shame as Fahrenheit is a great coaster.
snapfordakids
Superman at SFFT. Â It was my first ever visit to SFFT earlier this year and I loved the entire place, but Superman came out of left field and surprised the hell out of me! Don't get me wrong, iRat is still the king of the park, but Supes was a 100% solid ride from start to finish and is easily the best B&M sit-down I've been on. Yeah, even better than Hulk, you weirdos. Hulk has a great first half and a snoozefest second half. Supes just keeps asking you "who's your daddy?" the entire time! Â Co-sign! The way Krypton interacts with the terrain, the pre-drop turnaround. I love how the first drop exits out of the turnaround to it's side..The Vertical loop that last forever, the helix on top of the cliff as well as the drop out of that. The drawn out zero-g roll and the little pop of air time before the MCBR. My favorite things about that coaster. It's one of my favorite B&M's! shadox17
Last time i was at Great Adventure, I literally ran to Skull Mountain after Nitro, then ran to Toro, completely and totally forgetting BTR in my excitement over the three best airtime rides in the park (actual true story lol)
gerstlaueringvar
Easily Gemini. They are very nice family rides but when you think about Cedar Point, it takes a while to remember they exist.
