Big Surprises on Coasters

Also the corkscrew at the very end of Jokers Jinx - the train takes it very fast and forcefully. One of my favorite corkscrews on any coaster.

 

I haven't ridden Jokers Jinx but I've been on Flight of Fear @ KD, that last corkscrew is taken in complete darkness, really caught me off guard the first time. Heck, the first half of the ride had me questioning which way was up.

 

Agreed. The last Corkscrew on Flight Of Fear, Jokers Jinx, and Poltergeist are amazing!! Flight Of Fear was another surprise of our recent trip. We were not expecting much, but it is a really fun coaster.

 

I'm adding Maverick to my list of "Big Surprises." I knew it would be a good coaster. However, I had no idea how extreme the airtime would be on the airtime hill right before the final brake run! From start to finish Maverick is relentless. Such a great coaster.

The snappy turn into the brakes on raptor. Some love it , some hate it. I actually thought it was really fun

Kumba's final helix. Holy crap, was that awesome.

- Tornado (Bakken)'s lift launch. It catches me off-guard every single time.

- Schwur Des Kärnan's lift drop and post-brakes heartline roll.

- Helix's suprise air time hill after the Norwegian loop.

The Raven's fifth drop or the Verbolten track drop.

^^Talking about Helix, the transition from the zero-G roll into the helix really caught me off-guard on my first ride.
