grsupercity
Me and My wife always get magnets and picture frames from every park we visit. Sadly we went to Holiday world a couple weeks ago and they did not have picture frames for sale. Does anyone know of a place that sells amusement park such as old holiday world picture frames? Nrthwnd
Something that I don't collect very often, although I seem to collect everything of everything else in parks, is Souvenir Erasers, from either travel locations or theme parks, etc. Â But lately, and in the last couple of visits to Japan parks with TPR Tours, I have started, a neat little collection of Food Erasers, all very meticulously detailed and grouped in food groups, snack groups, etc. It's a neat little non-expensive thing to buy. Â And I intend to find and buy of them wherever I find them. The SUSHI plate is pretty good, for erasing pencil mistakes. (o; The other six. From SWEETS to CHINESE DIM SUM. All made..... in Japan! LiftThrill
I only have a select few things. I was totally going to get an Outlaw Run hat but never did (more reasons to go back to SDC), but anyway here's about where my collection starts and ends: -The Voyage T-shirt (bought while waiting for the ride to open back up after a random breakdown) -Valravn hoodie (it was my favorite shade of desaturated blue and the only article of clothing at CP I liked) -random Cedar Point napkins (we got it at a DQ that wasn't even on the peninsula but it had napkins with the CP logo and they ended up in my luggage so I kept them lol) might update with pictures at some point
Kurtbri87
I have been on this site a decent amount of time and can't believe I have never noticed this sub. Â My family on my fathers side lived in Brooklyn back when Coney Island was a great place. When he was young they had a season locker rental at the pool at Steeplechase Park. He would go six days a week and the place became a second home to him, so when the park closed in 1964, he was 9 at the time and he felt he lost something, so he started to collect memrobilia. This collection is the result of 52 years of serious collecting of anything related to Coney Island in its heyday. At one time there were three major parks and a huge assortment of independents that ran for many years, as you can imagine there is alot of Coney Island memrobilia and the pictures do not do justice. The only constraints is space as it is in our home, so the majority of the photos are in binders on a bookshelf and there are thousands of pictures that span 150 years. Nrthwnd
^^^ WOW! Fantastic looking collection your father has/had kept building and adding to. Â Thanks for sharing some (?) of it with us. It really looks amazing, especially all the glass cabinets with 'stuff' in them. Â By the way, did you ever, or have you ever, considered making a book about this collection? Kurtbri87
^^^ WOW! Fantastic looking collection your father has/had kept building and adding to. Thanks for sharing some (?) of it with us. It really looks amazing, especially all the glass cabinets with 'stuff' in them.  By the way, did you ever, or have you ever, considered making a book about this collection?    My father has been trying to write a book for years but there is so much stuff that he would never feel it is finished lol. Coney Island knows this exsits, my first job was running the Cyclone when I was 15 so I am very much a part of it as well. Disney tried to buy the collection as the centerpiece for the Boardwalk expansion back in 1991 but my family has been trying to build an attraction around the collection for years including a full remake of the horses. Kurtbri87
Because of my father collecting Coney Island, he also got me into collecing also.  I did the Disney College Program, where I operated the Great Movie Ride (Hollywood Studios) so I got into Disney. This is my small early EPCOT Center collection. The patches are a D23 exclusive from Epcots 30th. There is an opening commemorative coin. And ny favorite is the Journey Ino Imaginarion cast member book. Its a 28 page book given to the opening day crew of the Imagination Pavilion explaing the ride and story of the entire pavilion so they know how to explain to guests.  The second picture is my lanyards and Pin collecions  The last picture is off topic but im sure someone will enjoy, it is my collection of Nintendo from when I was growing Up. Nrthwnd
I came back from California a month ago, having gone to West Coast Bash and the Disneyland Resort. And I picked up another pair of Mouse Ears from Disneyland, to wear and eventually add to my Collection of Ears. Turns out I have gotten over 20 pairs of Ears (and Disney parks related caps) through the years. Â Here they are. The whole bunch. Birthdays: Back - Disneyland 50 and 25th. Front - Tokyo Disney Resort 30; other two, Disney Paris 15. Grizzly Gulch, HKDL; Pirates of The Caribbean, TDL; Capt.Nemo, Tokyo Disney Sea. Tokyo Disneyland: 2007 ~ 2011 ~ 2013 ~ TDLR does not sell Ears anywhere in the Resort! Ears Of Colour! Robb and Elissa sent me these Ears, as part of a Bag O' Crap win a few years back. In two parts, the 'cover' fits over the Ears cap easily. Voila! New Fantasyland-To-Be Mouse Ears! My newest Ears. And "Ears With a Bow". (I have no memory of buying the one with the bow.) Disneyland Paris; Walt Disney World; Hong Kong Disneyland. And HKDL's Ears sport a cloth patch on them, and it's actually sewn onto the Ears! Very cool. And then there's This "Pair of Ears!" ~ 2013 ~ bought in Tokyo Disneyland Resort, during their 30th Anniversary Celebration. Pretty. On the back of one of the ears. My First Ears ~ 1963 ~ Bought for me by my mom, on my first visit to Disneyland. I was 10. They even spelled my name right, ha ha. (o; "The One Ears that shall lead them all." Where some of The Ears end up in the house. Edited October 21, 2016 by Nrthwnd

storms555
I LOVE to collect keychains! I have started collecting them ever since i was a little kid. I got key chains from stores, trips, yard sales, shops, from family and friends etc. Of course since i love amusement parks as well I have many keychains from theme parks! My theme park collection might not be as exciting as others here though but i thought they would be cool to post: Here is bunch of my keychains Here is keychains from the now closed down Myrtle Beach Pavilion amusement park. I went to MB back in 2001 when i was 11. The first pic is me on the Hurricane with my dad. The second is my aunt. the third is me and my aunt on the log flume Here is 3 keychains i got from Mall of America when it was Planet Snoopy. I went back in 2000. Sadly haven't been there since but i would like to go again one day. Looks like they have really awesome rides there now! Here is me on the Voyage at Holiday World back in the summer of 2007. The two people in front me of are just random people lol. They just happen to be in the shot.
Nrthwnd
^ That's cool. With myself, when I am usually given a choice between a photo key chain and a fridge magnet...magnet wins. Â You should build a display board with small nails in it (or small cup hooks), to hang all of them up. Â EDIT To Add: Actually, I have been collecting key chains here and there through the years! Not as many as you have, but my latest buys were actually left on the last TPR backpak I got, from the 2014 Scandi Tour. It/they hang up above and behind me, just to remind myself of the trip there. The backpak itself with the Scandi key chains still on it. Closer look. HELIX dog tags from Liseberg; an Angry Bird from Linnanmaki; a coin for grocery carts (!) from Sarkanniemi; a mini-flashlight from Bon Bon Land. Sadly not from the fart, lol. Powerpark; Pirate from Djurs Sommerland; laminated wood from Linnanmaki. Edited March 7, 2020 by Nrthwnd
