[RCT3] Magic Peak Jazzland

Recommended Posts

Magic Peak Parks got off to a rocky start, former CEO James Lucas was released from his position in February. Since then Magic Peak Parks searched for a replacement to save the company from bankruptcy. After searching for a replacement Richard Brennan stepped forward and offered his hand in the company. Richard Brennan former CEO of Palace Entertainment announced his return to the amusement park industry. With his return he sold off all properties and unusable rides that were bought under the former CEO's watch and he began to look for his goldmine park. Searching through the many properties and parks existing in the United States Mr. Brennan settled on the former Six Flags New Orleans site. Cleanup began with crews working 24/7 to remove underbrush, relocate the gators that made home in the pond and start getting the rides in working order. Today we are proud to announce that Jazzland has been restored to it pre-Katrina glory and is opening soon to the public. Mr. Brennan promises almost 60 rides by the end of the season with work already beginning on a water park. THIS IS THE BIGGEST NEWS IN THEME PARK HISTORY. So its with great pleasure we reintroduce Jazzland to the public. In this release we have some photos of the restored state of the park and also some sketches of rides coming to the park. We would like to thank the Mayor of New Orleans and all employees that were hired in secret for helping to keep this under wraps until today.

Curious as to when the park reopened, Six Flags took Batman: The Ride pretty soon after the park closed for good FYI. It is Titan at Six Flags Fiesta Texas now. Otherwise I'd be interested in to see how the park evolves. I see you are using some custom scenery. My advice to you is if you use it, use it, CS is better in bulk rather then sprinkled around.

We will be updating the park with CTRs and as for Batman we were aware that when we bought the park Batman was gone, we accepted a licensing deal with Six Flags to buy a clone and bring it into the park with a stipulation that we would not name it Batman. As far as scenery goes we will be adding more and more over the next few weeks to increase the beauty of our park, keep watching the park to see how it goes.

In a shocking decision by Magic Peak Jazzland, CEO Richard Brennan announced today that Pandemonium will not open as planned at the park, it is going into storage and the space it would have used will be filled by a new ride.

Hades, this ride will take you through the House of Hades. Are you ready to face your fears?

Mr. Brennan was quoted saying that he feels this ride is a better fit for the park. Pandemonium was outside of the parks theming and will make a appearance at some point.

(9/12/14) Screamscape sources tell us that Magic Peak Parks is looking at a property in New Jersey, initial permits have been filed for a unknown location in Woodbine, NJ. A trademark was also filed on the name "Lost World" by the Magic Peak Company. This is a developing story.

I find it interesting the put a ride to storage and are buying a property in New Jersey, anyone saying a watch out Six Flags?

Magic Peak Parks - (9/19/14) Construction seems to be underway on a large 4,400 acre plot of land in Woodbine, NJ. A recent purchase made under multiple companies names secured the 4,459 acres for a total cost of $8,918,680. Permits have been filed for the construction and by what we see a request for height clearance up to 633 feet above see level was filed and accepted by one of the companies named Lost World for the entire site. This along with reports from sources near the intamin and B&M manufacturing facilities reporting mass amounts of track sitting in storage leads me to believe that Magic Peak did indeed purchase this plot of land and that we are going to see their flagship park opening in New Jersey. I believe this will be their flagship park because the New Orleans location is only 249 acres and is very much locked with no room for expansion. This location in New Jersey is wide open and Magic Peak would have plenty of room to expand across the two roads to its sides.

James Pawtet-

My names James Pawtet, im a resident of Sea Isle City and when i saw this on screamscape i could help but drive by and see what was happening. As a resident of New Jersey i always visited Six Flags Great Adventure but cant help but admit that the park has gone down hill in recent times. But hearing that there is a possible park being built which is twice the size of SFGA i had to try and see the site myself. When i got there i quickly realized how large this project is. From what i could see through the fencing surrounding the park there is large amounts of land cleared and being terraformed into what will become the park. They did a careful job at keeping trees in the park and making sure the land stays beautiful. I also noticed paving equipment and cut back markers for road expansion on Routes 664, 610 and 557, it looks like its going to go from two lanes to four. On site already I could see hundreds of pallets of pavers and stone. I had the chance to talk to a few locals and they said that the work has been going on 24 hours a day for three weeks. Its amazing what they can accomplish this quick. It looks to me like they are using 3/4 of the property as of now. Ill be going back tomorrow with my camera and ill catch some of the action for you.

Hey if you're going to use other people's photos please give credit.

The photos of your new flat rides are all taken directly from CFH Rides without any credit.

Flying Scooters

Inversion 360

Tango

The Enterprise photo is also stolen.

Stealing people's work without credit is an easy way to get yourself banned bud

So, a friend told me that someone used a coaster I made and claimed it as their own. For those who are wondering, I made that Flying Dutchman and he got it from a public download on RCTgo which can be found here http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/12599 same thing with the other rides. The Old Mill is available for public download as well http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/12794 Seriously man, if you want to use other people's work for yourself you need to ask them at the very least.

Nobody creates a project thread solely using other peoples pictures. Of course it is okay for people to download things and use them, but giving credit is always the right thing to do. If all your work revolves around using other people's projects, you are a mediocre RCT3 player. When you are posting work without giving credit, it is basically saying that it is yours and you are claiming it. Not a single thing in this latest update is yours. Sure, occasionally I see something from one park used in another, but not often. Even if something is integrated, it is changed a bit and made new. These pictures make it seem like you are just going to plop those things down, which is plain stealing. I doubt hundreds of people are plopping down other people's projects like Colt's and using them as things for their park and then presenting them. I think I would have seen this somewhere by now.

In addition, I and many others would much rather see original content in a park rather than a clusterbunch of stolen files. If your work is truly that bad that you have to use other people's stuff to make your crap look better, than you need to spend more time understanding the game. All of the people you stole from take this game very seriously, and worked very hard to gain experience to create good projects (trust me, I know them personally). It's kind-of like giving all these talented people a slap in the face. These creators did not become great because they plopped down files from others, they became great by creating their own content and improving it. Don't create a project if you are not willing to take the time to construct your own vision.

It's okay, they won't have to complain anymore, because you've been banned.

You don't steal other peoples' work. That's wrong. You've shown us very little of your own work, just the old Six Flags New Orleans download with some photos (again not yours) of "future" attractions.

There's a distinct difference between being inspired by someone else's work (such as by finding a cool RCT2 coaster and trying to make a similar one in NoLimits with the real physics), and showing off someone else's work and passing it off as your own. There really isn't anything illegal about it - but it's the absolute worst moral thing that you can do for yourself and your peers around the coaster games community.

It's the difference between a Steam game like Air Control and one like One Night at Flumpty's. One Night at Flumpty's is obviously a riff off of Five Nights at Freddy's, but it has its own premise, its own gameplay mechanics, and all of its own assets. Air Control is what you've done here - taking a bunch of assets that aren't yours and attempting to put them together into something coherent, while marketing it as the "next big awesome thing" with great screenshots, that again aren't yours.

Sorry, but your kind of park making has no place here. We may be a very casual community, but we still do our best to keep ourselves to the moral standards held up by other sites like Shy Guy's, the NoLimits Exchange and New Element.
