Well the one I went on at Old Orchard Beach was really fun, but it was incredibly unreliable and broke down all the time (Including twice while I was on it alone). It's restraints were pretty uncomfortable though, especially around the shoulder area if I remember correctly. It was also extremely disorienting, and made me really dizzy by the time I got of since Old Orchard ran theirs with a weirdly long ride cycle. But it wasn't a bad dizzy it was just really fun, and a little bit scary.

Love a Powersurge! Great, fluid and random movements, and if your car turns the right way over the top of the loop you get great pops of intensity. Let go and you feel like you're flying and tumbling through the air.

I didn't find it scary at all, but if you don't like rapid, random movement or going upside down, then it's probably not for you!

When I was younger I loved power surge rides!!! They were always so random, and so much fun to ride. I loved riding backwards because the weird whipping sensation you would get when your seats were not inverted at the top was amazing. Riding forwards was fun because you could watch the concrete spiral towards your face thengospinning back up in the air. They are super amazing rides. They are not scary, but they are fun. I only say "when I was younger I loved them" because in recent years I have not had a chance to ride one, and a lot of the things I could handle when I was younger I can't really handle now. However, if you have a chance to ride one I say do it! You never know how much you're going to enjoy it.

Power Surges are quite intense, but a lot of fun. I especially love the rare ones that still have a rotating base (Knoebels is the only one I've had this on).

If you can handle inversions, give it a try. Make sure to ride facing forwards for your first ride as it's less intense.

I think this ride is a lot of fun! Its pretty much one of my favorite traveling carnival rides! Its flips you every which way which is really awesome! I had a friend with me at one time who wasnt a big fan of rides that went upside down. See was kind of naive and I told her nah dont worry it doesnt go upside at all..... So we get on it and it starts going then goes upside down! She then hit me on the leg and was like YOU LIED! but in a fun way of course. The two kids facing us,me,and even her all started to bust out in laughter. After that she actually enjoyed it and wanted to go on it a few times again!

I always get the chance to hop on it when it comes by the KY State Fair (North American Midway Entertainment), and it's easily one of the most underrated rides there. It's not the loudest or most flashy ride on the strip (at least not until last year's fair when it got a new and beautiful led light package) but it always delivers the wildest ride. Be warned, they love to eat whatever is in your pockets.

Side note: There's a version that annually comes by the Bluegrass Fair (ran by Belle City Amusements) that's actually the quirkiest and sketchiest one I've ever seen, and I now avoid out of fear. The one owned by NAME is the best upkept one I've ever seen.

The only one ive been on is Gunslinger at Frontier City. Its a very disorienting and violent ride, but not to the point it isnt re-rideable. It has very strong g forces in all directions. They ride the best if you're not balanced. It offers some great laterals, hangtime, and airtime. Also, you can good some good foot choppers here and there with the main arm of the ride!

Most of the ones I've been on go fully vertical, but the one I rode at the Big E last year had a different cycle. The Power Surge arm lifted to about a 45-50 degree angle for most of the ride. It was different and neat to try, but I was confused why it didn't go all the way up.
