thrillrider
I came across this picture of a really killer looking drop tower ride, but it does not give the location. This ride looks amazing! I figured this would be the best place to ask if anyone knows where this is.
shivtim
Well it's an SBF 29mt drop'n twist, but I'm not sure where it is. http://sbfrides.com/product/en/819/DROPN-TWIST-29mt.
thrillrider
That's where I found the picture. Martins fantasy land is getting a tower simular to this one(minus the theming of course).
TPDave
Wow! That looks insane, the theming probably cost more than the ride I've never seen of heard about that before, hopefully someone can chip in...
rcjp
It does look stunning, but I have no idea where it is.
thrillrider
I'm guessing a mall? I can't really see any other rides or stores, but it looks like they have a rock/ climbing wall as well.
Xmeister
Just a guess but I'm thinking somewhere either in the Middle East or Asia. They seem to have the most mall/amusement park combos.
gisco
Here is another pic from the SBF website. If you zoom in on the guy he looks Asian.
thrillrider
I also see what looks to be a merry go round.
thrillrider
Here is another pic from the SBF website. If you zoom in on the guy he looks Asian. I just noticed that it says something on the wall of the lower level. Can't quite read it or make out what language it's in.
mightypotato
I tried my damnedest last night to figure out where this was. the SBF website has a list of their drop tower installations, but none of the photos I could find matched this. The metadata also isn't much of a help either. The file name is essentially "1bf.jpg" or something to that effect.
BDG
The ride is called THÁP RƠI TỰ DO ("freefall tower") and is located in the Bà Nà Hills Fantasy Park in Đà Nẵng, Vietnam. http://www.banahills.com.vn/fantasy-park Found it simply by searching YouTube for "freefall tower" in a few languages. Chinese, Thai, Malay, Indonesian, Vietnamese... bingo. footage: POV:

KarlaKoaster
Well done on finding it It looks quite fun too, I like how it can go up and down in quick succession like Power Tower and also how it is always rotating
GwaziBSRider1
I was actually expecting this thing to be in one of the indoor parks in China, but it's interesting that it's in Vietnam. It seems like their amusement industry is going to be booming soon.
