boldikus
I say this as one to not get too freaked out by ghost stories or whatever (I swear! The only reason I don't like haunts/trails is claustrophobia/people touching me. Its a space thing lol) but Great Adv is definitely creepy at night when its empty. Especially in Movietown or near Nitros exit. It doesn't help that its pitch black back there @ night. Even during HITP towards closing when the place has cleared out its freaky. There's a ton of urban legends about the park being haunted if you do a quick google search.

But the Haunted Castle along with the Rolling Thunder incident & Lightening Loops incident makes even creepier. Kings Island has had a few accidents as well. I've never been but the locatiok of the park looks like it could be creepy as well.
Canobie Coaster
I agree Great Adventure is pretty ominous at night due to the lack of lighting. I especially found the area down where the Chiller used to be frightening since it was so empty during Holiday in the Park. Pretty much any large, poorly lit, sparsely attended park qualifies as creepy to me.
michaellynn4
Back when I worked at Great Adventure, I liked working the late shift. Walking around well after closing always had this creepy feeling to it, and this was even back when Old Country was utilized.
SFOG1991
Conneaut Lake Park is an obvious choice. I love this park and when it is busy it really has a good feel to it, but when it is dead or late at night, it is super creepy. I mean the Kiddieland alone is terrifying. The clowns have no eyes ffs!!! Plus the super retro quality makes it even creepier. During Ghost Lake they use Kiddieland for a killer clown haunt and if you don't like clowns it will scar you for life.
Jcoaster
Alfundo at Dorny Park isn't really my favorite. For those of you who don't know this is located in ThunderHawk's station.
RAWKIN_coaster38
Thanks guys, I didn't find Great Adventure that creepy before but now that I just read all those deaths and ghost stories, I'm going to be a little creeped out next time I'm there at night My aunt who used to work at KI tells me there are some ghost encounters from employees working Beast and the rapids ride late at night. I love this thread, though. Bring on the park ghost/creepy stories!
Genx24
Popping in to say Great Adventure as well. I remember one night in 2014, the former Old Country area was pitch black. Save for where the Haunted Castle used to be, where there was an eerie glowing green light. That entire side of the park really gives off a creepy vibe once the sun sets. Jcoaster
There's a million stories about ghost sighting or wacky stuff happening in the south end of Lake Compounce (area where the skyride, picnic tables, and rapids ride are). I never personally saw anything myself, but knew people who refused to go there after dark fell. Lake Compounce I believe was built on the land of an old Native American tribe so yea anything can happen. Come on people, the Poltergeist? Jason Maier
I like the spookiness of the crumbling Hall Manor in the woods behind the Wild One at Six Flags America. (anyone got or seen any decent pictures of it?) Of course, it was my favorite Haunted House during Fright Fest
ericthewanderer
I've had plenty of ERT at Great Adv. over the years, and I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the area around Medusa/Bizarro and RMT.That whole area at night can get pretty dark and very quiet. Morgan
Alton Towers is supposedly haunted by quite a few different ghosts. Like The Ghost Train at Blackpool, the TV show 'Most Haunted' stayed through the night to film an episode in the ruins. I did a ghost Hunt night there back in 2010, and spent the night in the Towers and there was definitely some spooky things going on, not quite enough to make me firmly believe in ghosts, but it was definitely a fun experience. Unfortunately they've stopped the ghost hunt companies using the Towers now.
PKI Jizzman
Honestly never have heard any stories about Kings Island. ...even though RL Stine wrote that odd story about the Beast, haha. I have done plenty of lock out walk backs in to woods by Diamondback's MCBR and on, and let me tell you..the only thing truly frightening out there are skunks. Never got sprayed, but came close to that tuxedoed devil a couple times.

Of course, it was my favorite Haunted House during Fright Fest By the way, there's plenty of stories online about Eleanor,a little girl who supposedly was buried somewhere nearby(I've heard it was around either Wild One's or Joker's Jinx stationhouse). And I think Facebook has a couple of pictures of the inside of Hall Manor.
