Same with the Smiler, just talking about their newer rides.

The Smiler isn't all rough and not at all unpleasant to ride, it's a fantastic coaster. The only real rough parts of the ride are towards the end with the second half of the cobra roll and the final two corkscrews.

Robb has a POV of Hades that looks pretty solid. As always: riding a ride and watching someone's POV footage are two totally different things. I'll wait to hear actual reports before I high five everyone.

Gerstlauers aren't just rough in the same way as old vekoma or b&m rattle, they have that roughness that you don't directly see/feel but you end up leaving the ride with kind of a headache, like when i leave a bad slc my head hurts because it was bashed externally but when i leave smiler, saw the ride, basically their rides with ostrs, i just end up having a bit of an ache afterwards, which for me is worse than on-coaster roughness.

But besides that, i have to say that Kärnan and Junker are like the only gerstlauers that are mentionable coasters from gerstlauer though, that's another issue.

I am not seeing anything on Energylandia's Facebook page (as reported on rcdb) about a coaster. Maybe I wasn't on the official page or the post wasn't on the official page. If someone finds the Facebook post please link it and/or post a screenshot.

Doing a more extensive online search, I could find no reference to a new coaster in 2017, only a article about a new hotel.

Here is a text that was relayed everywhere, but I can't find the original source (EDIT: Well, just look at the post above):

Translation:

Beloved, now we can unveil the mystery and reveal that next year you are preparing for several new attractions and surprises. One of them will be a new roller-coaster produced by the leader of the industry and our partner - the Dutch company Vekoma, which recently created a masterpiece among other things, such as the roller-coaster TRON, the most popular attraction of the new Disneyland in Shanghai.

Soon we pass you more details about our new signings and other attractions that are preparing for you next season. Now we can only quote the words of our friends from Vekoma .... "sell roller-coasters parks around the world ... to the Disney Theme Parks, Universal Studios, Six Flags and Cedar Point, but currently the fastest growing park in the world is not in the US, China, or in the Netherlands ... is here in Poland ... in Zator and called Energylandia! "

... We promise that in 2017 you will see that this is true

No, just the same old disadvantages. But the main problem here is project - there is no way to build smooth 689m model. I am tall person (190cm height) so on mostly coasters I don't have problems with shaking head like others, but I noticed that new train type for SLC is even worse than the old one. I never complained much about shaking on SLCs but lack of "seat head supports" (or how to call it - bolsters?) is making all rattling even bigger. On the other hand smaller people can not complain that they are hurting their heads on those support anymore, but for me it is step back.

But I have to admit the new designs are amazing. F1 is really enjoyable.

I'm curious if Vekoma has ever considered developing a similar 689m-ish suspended looping coaster using the new track and train systems. Same footprint, similar layout, but likely a much smoother ride.

They probably haven't since the current model still sells. They probably would do it if asked, though

Heh. I guess if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Either way, I have a theory that the track Vekoma used on RC Mayan is the same one that will be used on Fly @ Morey's. I mean- it was made a short time ago, and judging by this video...

...It doesn't look too bad in terms of roughness. So, yeah. If Morey's is just giving Fly a retracking, this ride can show the result.

Okay, I'll try to make it short. The source for everything I post now is the parks Facebook page.

1) The Park announced three new rollercoasters for 2017. They also announced a lot of smaller flat rides as additions.

The first one they announced is another kiddie coaster

14517646_869228896512537_7692302947351404485_n.png?oh=f9fb09c1a9c51e5da9566c338a3d1a18&oe=58674996&__gda__=1487474848_f1e8301008029b28a8fc8c49bcc8531f

The second one is a bit more interesting. This one is going to be a new Vekoma Family Boomerang. 70kph fast and 25 meters tall.

Last but not least: Intamin Water Coaster. 110kph fast and 60 meters tall. I'm assuming it is going to be a divertical clone, but that's not for sure

2) They also announced two new water rides

A rapid ride:

And another water ride which we can't really tell what type it is going to be

14502725_869965923105501_819366986266863166_n.jpg?oh=5d975b179b2718a145764ddfe3b6ac74&oe=587D7B41&__gda__=1483130240_d5a1850c6f75dbcf1597fadb2d7bbd83

3) Energylandia also posted that they will build hella lot new smaller flat rides, if you want to check them out, visit their Facebook page.

The announcements for the 2018 season will come up in an hour!
