ytterbiumanalyst
With the opportunity to go to Holiwood Nights as well as some work stuff that has come up recently, we are revamping our vacation plans, and holding off on Minnesota until next year. The new plans are to stay a bit closer to home and hit some nearby parks we haven't visited yet. Definite: Silver Dollar City Six Flags St. Louis Holiday World Probably: Beech Bend Bartlesville Kiddie Park Bell's Amusement Park Possibly: Frontier City Magic Springs We made it to all these, except Bell's (decided against it due to lack of anything going on there). Plus we made it also to Legoland KC, Worlds of Fun, and (though it's debatable that it's really a theme park anymore) Dogpatch. Quite a year! michaellynn4
"*" = new to me Definitely: - SFGAdv - Hersheypark - Knoebels* (Haven't been there yet, and I really need to right this wrong) - Various small NJ parks, primarily piers along the shore (like Moreys)* Gonna really try to get to: - Lakemont Park* - Idlewild Park* If the Niagra trip happens: - Canada's Wonderland* - Marineland* - Darien Lake* My 2015 "reach" parks: - Dorney (not likely cuz I'm skipping on Cedar Fair passes until my next big trip) - SFNE & Lake Compounce (only if we visit my girlfriend's grandma again) Man, I didn't accomplish as much as I thought I would. I managed to get to: - SFGAdv - Hersheypark - Various small NJ shore parks, including Morey's, Playland Castaway Cove, Gillian's, and Steel Pier* - SFNE - Canobie Lake Park* We did end up spending a week on Cape Cod, so we made separate trips to SFNE and Canobie Lake Park (I wanted to experience a new park up there). I had plans for Knoebels that I had to cancel at the last minute. Maybe I'll do a PA trip next year.
viking86
Liseberg is a definite yes for next year, seeing that I didn't go this year. Otherwise I have nothing planned for next year. Would love to go back to Orlando, but I will probably put that on hold until the new Frozen ride opens in EPCOT in 2016, so that I can learn about my own country in an actual fun way... Don't really think I will do any major coastertrips next year, but maybe a long-weekend or something. Many options for me here, I still haven't been to any of the Dutch/German parks, so I think it's time to head in that direction. Well, I got Liseberg right. Going back to Orlando became too tempting when I discovered the cheap price of flight tickets. But I still have to go back again to check out the Frozen ride after it opens... The Dutch/German parks are still on the "to do-list"... Edited October 30, 2015 by viking86

raptor6
Absolutely:Cedar Point Michigan's Adventure Probably: Kings Island Six Flags Great America Waldameer Kennywood Conneaut Lake Park (assuming that it still exists) Maybe: Canada's Wonderland Indiana Beach Holiday World Kentucky Kingdom Beech Bend Some New England area parks The wife and I are planning our official honeymoon to Hawaii next May. This trip will use about half of my vacation days. As a result, we will probably will stay within a day’s drive of Michigan. My sister just recently moved to New Hampshire for a job, so I might visit some parks in the region. Let's where I actually visited this year: Cedar Point x4 Kings Island x2 Michigan's Adventure x1 Kennywood x1 Six Flags New England x1 Lake Compounce x1 Six Flags Great America x2 Not too bad at all! EDIT: I went to Las Vegas for the first time in Mid-December. I had a BOGO coupon for the Big Apple Coaster (Manhattan Express) at the New York, New York Hotel & Casino. I rode in the front seat since I heard many horror stories about the roughness. The ride was nothing special and would be pretty decent if it didn't have those awful OTSRs and basically stop at the mid-course brake run. SFFT, SFoT, Wonderland, Joyland and Frontier City, but was able to extend the trip to include Silver Dollar City and the New Mexico parks The only surprise addition was BGW and the Ocean City. YoshiFan
Absolutely:Great Adventure Dorney Park Probably: Playland's Castaway Cove Gillian's Wonderland Pier Hersheypark Knoebels Maybe: Busch Gardens Williamsburg King's Dominion I'm hoping to get to more parks next year compared to this year. I only got to Great Adventure and Dorney this year although I got to both parks many times this year. My 2015 season turned out a lot different than I expected. I got to Dorney 7 times and Great Adventure 19 times (with still a few trips left until January) and for all the other parks listed I only got to Playland's Castaway Cove twice. I did get to a lot more parks than I ever expected this year getting to all 4 Disney World parks in Feburary/March, Fun Spot Orlando in March, Cedar Point and Kings Island in June and Canobie Lake Park over Labor Day weekend. I went raised my coaster count from 96 coasters before this year to 127. Getting to Cedar Point has been something I wanted for 10 years and was happy to finally get the chance.
