jedimaster1227
For the first time in forever (two years) I finally had the chance to revisit the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at Disney's Magic Kingdom Park. The event has always been a favorite of mine because of the amazing parade and fireworks exclusive to the party, the candy and most importantly, the insanely short wait times for all of the major attractions in the park. Since my last visit the event has updated the parade to include the "Creepa Crew" pre-parade plus characters from Wreck-It Ralph. The event has also gained a dedicated dance venue in the form of Club Villain, a really fun setup in the Diamond Horseshoe. But enough talk! Let's get to the photos! The entrance to the Magic Kingdom is especially welcoming with the Halloween decor in place! I had actually ordered this shirt a few months back and planned to wear it to the event simply because a Disney shirt and I didn't have time to put together a costume. It turns out that on the day that I went, it was announced that morning that Maelstrom at Epcot would be closing. Instantly my costume became real... I went dressed up as a sad fan... This is new! Neat setup! Oh hai monster! The line for the Jack & Sally meet and greet was like this at the start of the event and stayed that way until the end of the night. Sadly, I had to pass. With the park's capacity cut down significantly the lines for rides like the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train were minimal. A nice view to start the evening to... A rare chance to get a pot with all Seven Dwarfs! Club Villain really looks amazing inside! Villains from Disney animated films dance with guests in this fun environment. The club features some really fun graffiti-esque villain art on the walls. It wouldn't be a Disney club without CO2 blasts. Mannequins Dance Palace lives on in some form. The DJ setup... Here's the Creepa Crew leading the way for Mickey's Boo to You Parade to begin. There is no shortage of Disney characters in this parade! Oh Pooh! Mickey and the Gang lead the way! Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee sail down the parade route in a pirate ship. Speakinf of pirates... The gravediggers are my favorite part of the parade. The spark effect is so simple but really so entertaining! The happy haunts of the Haunted Mansion have materialized to dance within the open ballroom that is the Boo to You parade route... They really are fantastic! Another favorite float of mine! Clarabelle Cow is also in the parade. Clara Cluck is obscure but her involvement in the parade is really fun to see! New to the parade this year is the inclusion of Ralph and Vanelope from Wreck-It Ralph. The Block Party Bash cones live on! Goofy pilots his candy bike as always. Some more Villakns from Disney films keep the parade moving. boo to You! Boo to you and you and you. The parade ends with a look at the evil queen. This actually happened! The park really looks especially great at night during the event. Look who I ran into! Spiced Pumpkin Waffle and a Liberty Swirl. Win plus win= win. The old Adventureland verandah is open during the event as a treat trail. Lots of different details up on the walls in here... Main Street U.S.A All dressed up (and not busy at night. We didn't wait for Jack and Sally this time alone. so awesome! Sea ya real soon! The fog makes the entrance to the park into such a neat environment. I was not the first to pass this way, nor shall I be the last. Edited October 14, 2014 by jedimaster1227

cfc
This event is always a lot of fun--and the new Seven Dwarfs coaster is really good.
ernierocker
This is my second favorite Orlando Halloween event behind Food and Wine. We had a lot of fun last week and I hope the maid staff at Cabana Bay loves all of the candy we left them.
