tututiara
Sounds like you had a fun time! You really took advantage of the Single Rider line for RSR, which is usually what I do if I don't arrive early enough for a fastpass. Glad you liked the ride though! I think the bread tour is closed now, and I'm not too sure what they are doing with it. I can't tell if it's being refurbished or removed. Oh well. I usually only do it for the sample anyway. You were lucky to catch Midway Mania with such a short line, because that ride is always a fun one

Decided to treat myself to some luxury this time... I feel special... Wait...let me take a selfie! Ahhhhh...bittersweet, the final days of HHN Orlando. Since I'm special I get special comp'ed items...like HHN express! Best drink ever! Its called the greatful dead and its a finnagans! See ya later rockit...got some crap I need scared outta me! Before the park gets busy let's check out the scarezones... Help me... Not so fast... One of my fav house of the event... I'm scared... What a great way to end the night... jarmor
Ok so its 2015...January 2015 and most parks are closed but that doesn't stop us from visiting. This year, for obvious reasons, carowinds hosted ACE southeast winter warm up. Its an event where lots of parks come together and put on presentations for what they are showcasing that year as well as nostalgia highlights. Its a great way to get personal with the parks and their reps. I figured this shirt would be most appropriate for the day... We entered near thunder road... Such a classic, would hate to see it go. Thank god there has never been any rumors of its departure. Ahhhh...top gun. It felt god driving around the lot, looking at these giants in hibernation. But I'm here to get up close and personal with this one... Pretty much all the rides are dismantled in the offseason... Parks like holiday world, fiesta texas, dollywood, kings dominion and six flags over georgia had presentations. Lots gave free stuff but dollywood and fiesta texas gave everyone free admission! Carowinds GM mike fennel had a special presentation... it was the train, which was already on site! Now it was time for lunch! The food featured that day will be featured st the taste of the Carolinas food event. The food was great! I'll just let the pictures do the talking. Nrthwnd
All the coasters look great, the food looks great, but... What the heck is Brunswick Stew? Just curious.
jarmor
^ its like a thick soup with lots of veggies and meats. Really good! Now back to more pictures... Alright, let's head outside... It was a neat experience getting hands on with the coaster... Can't wait to see what the bridge will look like! Lol... I have a feeling this element will be a crowd pleaser! Since I was one of the only seasoned riders out there, the travel channel decided to give me a shot! Basically they need a ratings boost... This year, the park is getting a flatter and wider bridge... Let's take a closer look... The new giftshop. Let's move on the the sling shot spot... But first...take a gander... The future slingshot site...from a distance... Things are moving along at a great pace! What could I be looking at??? Duh! Getting closer... Yeah...I think I'll pass on this ride... Anyone in the mood for some coke? And there it is... The plaza area is gonna be pretty nice...I just have a feeling! Poor intimidator feels neglected... I just can't wait... What are these guys looking at??? Ah yes, a man and his drone... Was a great day at the park...tune in for the next adventure...

jarmor
^ fury colors are pretty badass lol. I couldn't resist! So a week after the tour I was having roller coaster anxiety after being around all those coasters and couldn't ride...so I headed down to busch gardens! I could tell by the waits it was gonna be a long day... Is this still open? Anyway...on to montu! Ugh! These lines... One of my first coaster friend recent passed away. He loved montu, hence his online name of montumax. I'm gonna miss him... I knew I should have gotten a quick queue... That's one good tower... One good drop deserves another! Don't you just love it... Clocking in at the longest wait of the day. It was actually longer thanks to the latin tour groups who move in hurts like its the walking dead lol... Since I've experience my fair share of kumba, I decided to pass and head back to the front. Wish I could Mitch a ride on cheetah hunt! But first...let's become one with nature... Ok I must confess...the real reason I'm here is to big farewell to gwazi. Its not too often you can say goodbye to a coaster so I didn't hesitate to come down for one last ride. **tear** Let's enjoy some pictures... The crowds came out in droves... He has the spirit! I hope they can, in some form. Its hard to see but some idiot in the front seat thought it was a. Right to film himself with his handy dandy selfie stick. Still using it... It magically dissapears! So long gwazi... Gonna miss you. Wish you had taken this guys phone and selfie stick with you... This really needs to stop... Until next time... cfc
Well, some miss Gwazi, but many do not. I thought it was tolerable the first time I rode it in 2006, but not so much in later years.
jarmor
3/25! Finally, media day for fury...325! Love the new entrance! Wait...let me take a selfie... The park had several live entertainment areas that day. Including an autographing panther... I'm stoked! Feels like I've been waiting forever this coaster to finally open... Some really cool stuff in that store... The market place is a nice touch as well. A big improvement over the game stalls... Feeling lucky... While I was taking this photo... Someone was taking this one! Alright let's get this show on the road... Its tough being a celeb...even the park GM can get a little starstruck lol...j/k After more speakers...the staged exploded with everyone still standing on it... I was honored to participate in an effort to raise money to leave a front row seat empty on the first train out in memory of a dear coaster friend, max cannon, who passed away. He was exctied and anticipating his first ride on fury 325. Crazy coaster buds... Its time! Man! What a ride. I'm not sure how season or unseason I am (is there some type of sorting hat for that lol lol) but fury 325 was great! Relentless speed, great airtime and just plain ole fun! Some people... Of course the world wants my opinion so let's do some interviews... Having a blast! Let's talk to this guy... Let's take a selfie...its been a while lol. Now back to fury 325... After a few more rides, it was time for me to go eat. The park showcased a good bit of what the would be having at the taste of the carolinas accompanied bt a great band. The time was winding down so I headed back to fury 325! Enjoy coaster nerds lol... Overall I had a great time. Was nice seeing old friends, making new ones and eating great food! Yep...we're at a six?flags park lol... I'm in! Let's have fun!!! First ride of the day... Just like I remember it! Let's head over to cyclone...but first... I can get use to this. But I'm sure its gonna change... Oh cyclone...I can tell the difference between the topper track and good ole cyclone. If I wasn't woke before, I am now lol! Brb when the park officially opens! And picture request just let me know!!

jarmor
^^Hopefully I will give you plenty to see to make it feel like you were here with me lol. ^thanks! Now where were we...oh yes, riding coasters. What is that I see... Not yet. The park received daredevil dive since my last visit. What a cute little train...well, car. It was ok...no mystery mine, but a nice family coaster. I guess six flags anticipated huge crowds for its new " coaster" since they set up a queue all the way up the hill to the entrance of gotham city... Anyway...I'm here for backwards batman! Man...these lines... I'm a little nervous about doing this bat-wards hahaha... Pretty intense but not too bad... The other flat ride the park got... One of the best themed wave swinger... Brb...gotta go ride a legend...
jarmor
Man...these lines are overwhelming. Its amazing how a coaster so old can still remain relevant... The line for goliath started just at the stairs... Would have been just in the station if they weren't assigning seats... Solid ride. Of course I'm spoiled by fury 325 but still, a great ride! Gotta love these crowds... Getting ready for fright fest ready??? Speaking of fright...think I'm passing this one up lol... I'm seeing a pattern here... Something new! A water park!! Well...its kinda bare but looks like fun for the kids. The only multi slide tower... Then you have this pool and family slide (I think its a family one...) Getting hungry...brb... jarmor
I just have the best of luck! Even today at six flags america, everything is basically a walk on! Ok, so I left my season pass at home and this is what guest services gave me to get in lol . . . Needless to say, that didnt work. Then I was given this . . . I'm finally in . . . This area wasnt here when I was last here . . . This line seemed like it took forever. I guess its the first thing people see. This thing . . Ahhhhh, wild one! Just look at that line! Brb, gotta ride! That took no time, thanks to this line. Kinda rough, but isn't that how woodies suppose to be? Speaking of rough . . . It looks great but one ride was more than enough. Let's ride a good coaster! It appears I have shorten in height . . . It may be one of the older ones but that launch still packs a punch! Haven't seen one if these in a long time . . . I wonder why more of these weren't built? Same with this one . . . No line! In case you're wondering, that's airtime . . . Didn't even bother . . . The crowds are unbearable . . . kinda like that. Any reason why this was left? Let's get some more shots of apocalypse . . . Let's head over to the best themed section in the park! Which is home to the worst coaster in the park . . . They look happy. Maybe something changed. Oh dear! That's not a good sign. Ugh! Just as I remember it. That was bad. Moving right along . . . I've never stepped into hurricane harbor but since I was done with the park I figured I might as well. Looks like it scared the crap out of someone hahaha. . . I've never experience the tornado slides being that its almost guaranteed I'm a party of onebut they look like a blast! Hummmm . . .carowinds? Looks to be a good amount of space behind the fence. The lone family raft slide . . . Not too many normal tube slides. But plenty of drop slides! Well, that's it! Until the next trip . . .
jarmor
So after a night of this . . . And And I figures I was good and ready for this! Firsup . . . Freedom flyer. Fun little flyer, much better than the versions at carowinds and kings islands. Next up, the screaming swings! Man! I really like the park size model but this size seems more intense!! Quite a few flats . . . There's also a spot for gators, but I'm sure they were sleep. The crowds were very light . . . I didnt get the credit . . And of course go karts. Time for some white lightning! It still fires incredibly smooth! And there you have it, funspot.

jarmor
**personal talk** I have a god son whom I introduced to the theme park life at when he was about 3 and from then on he loved it! From then on I created a coaster junkie like myself. He moved away but now he's back so we can go ride coasters! Yesterday, well sept 25th, I took him to SCarowinds. On the way back I asked him if he was game to head to Six Flags over Georgia early in the morning. Of course he said yes! So we headed out. Obligatory selfie . . . We headed to Georgia Cyclone and it finally hit me, we were at a six flags park . We see you Goliath! Even the train was getting tired of the wrap . . . The topper track really does help out the experience in the first half. Wonder if the rest is going to receive it? Did I mention it was fright fest? Next up, Acrophobia! Aside from Tower of Terror, this was his first drop tower. Some of the better themeing of Fright Fest. This area will look different . . . I always thought the placement of the Chutes the chute ride was pretty nice here. Lets get his first flyer credit! The slight rain really kept the crowds away. Next up, GASM. He really liked this one! Now the moment I was dreading would come up . . . he saw ninja and wanted to ride. He has no idea what he is in store for . . . I REALLY did not want to ride but I figured what the hell. He liked it so much he wanted to go again! As you see, he want alone. lol . . . I hated my one ride, of course he loved it. Heading to Gotham City, he freaked out because he is a big batman fan! After a few more rides, the rain started coming down so it was time to go! @ theme park, two states, all within 24 hours. Needless to say I was tired! Edited February 16, 2016 by jarmor
jarmor
so . . . Last night I began my #EpicHalloweenAdventure! What's that you ask??? Well, in 4 nights, back to back, I attend 4 of the nations most highly regarded theme park haunts from the east to the west coast. Every night a different park and city. Its pretty exciting and tiresome at the same time! Last night my first stop was Howl-O-Scream at busch gardens tampa! Due to the flooding in south carolina my amtrak transportation was canceled so I had to find another way down and got to the park a little late. Let me rephrase that, I got to the fright feast a little late lol. But it was still plenty to eat! I do have to say, the food selection isn't as good as years past. And no pumpkin cheesecake was not a good thing!!! After eating and stomaching that fiends show (I think this year is the worst I've seen) I decided to take a trip on falcons fury! It seems kinda slower then most but it is def the scariest of them all! Now, let's head to the first maze! I went they most of this house alone and it was quite anxiety inducing. This has to be my fav here as the theme of death is one that is unnerving to me. Lots of cool scares! Next up . . . Solid house. Loved the bungee scares! Let's move on to the only new house this year . . . Never thought I'd be walking thru gwazi again . . .this soon. I didn't understand what the hell was going on in that house lol. Lots of animal carcasses, mutated babies . . . Ok. Moving right along. I really do hope this is the last laff as this house has gotten old, well to me at least. Did the other two house now let's get some rides in! Now that's my kinda line. But . . . Kumba seems to be a little rougher than normal. Still a good ride. Let's head to sheikra. Ut first. We gotta dance our way thru this dance party lol. Fortunately I was able to twerk, whip and nae nae my way thru the crowd and up the stairs to be greeted by this! To my surprise, they removed the scoops! Caused you to enter the hill and turn with more force. Well there you have it. The first stop on my #EpicHalloweenAdventure! Its pretty obvious where the next stop is . . .
