Theme Park Bucket list

Recommended Posts

I've gotten to check quite a few off my list in recent years, thanks to TPR, but many remain. These are the ones that really jumped to mind.

Kings Island

Holiday World

Kennywood

Waldameer

Silver Dollar City

Coney Island (mainly for historical reasons and its not far from me)

Port Aventura

Alton Towers

Busch Gardens Tampa (I've always wanted to ever since I was a kid!)

There's tons of coasters I'd love to ride but I'll limit myself to actual parks I'm interested in!

Our trip thru Pennsylvania last year knocked off the list:

Kennywood, Knoebels, and HersheyPark

and this June, we also take care of King's Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

meaning the only parks left on my bucket list will be:

Cedar Point

Six Flags Magic Mountain

Europa Park

BUMPintg this, as I just realized there's something I haven't done at Disney Resorts, I have been

to already, a few times, now.

Simply, I would love to see what the Mira Costa and Tokyo Disneyland Hotel's lobbies, etc look like.

I assume their bars or restaurants are open to all, as well as hotel guests? Just curious, but also

having seen enough photos and videos about such places, it would be nice to see part of it, if only

the lobbies, would be cool enough.

I finally got to see all of Disney Paris' Sequoia Lodge insides this past September, and it was as

big a thrill, as getting back to the parks, too.

So - lobbies of several Disney Theme Resort hotels. On my Theme Park Bucket List.

We're (hopefully) going to finally find out more about the Tokyo Disney ones, in 2017.

David and I really REALLY want to know, why this particular corner of the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel...

was trimmed in purple. Only place on the entire building, in that colour. Hmmm. TPR 2013 Japan Tour.

(It's a gay thing, really.)

SFMM... SFMM... SFMM... SFMM.

I know that a lot of people complain about how much the park "sucks" or "isn't all it is cracked up to be" but it's become one of those "must visit parks" for us. Thankfully not this summer, but next summer we will get to spend a day there before heading out to Hawaii!

As of summer 2014 it was

Six Flags America

Hersheypark

Dorney Park

Coney Island/Luna Park

Knoebels

Kennywood

Kings Dominion

Cedar Point

Six Flags Magic Mountain

Six Flags Over Georgia

Six Flags New England

Managed to cross the first 3 off the list late last year, and if all goes according to plan I'll be able to cross off Kennywood and Cedar Point by end of May. So that just leaves Knoebels, Kings Dominion, Coney and the three Six Flags parks. I have close family/friends in NYC, Georgia and L.A. so those are pretty likely its just a matter of making it happen.

Knoebels & Kings Dominion? 2016, maybe.

Its fun to see old posts I made about this kinda stuff. Only managed to cross off Kennywood and Cedar Point this year but the gears are turning already for 2016 trips to Kings Dom/Busch Williamburg, a weekend trip to see my sister and visit SFOG, day trips to Coney, SFNE and probably Knoebels. Maybe BGT if I can convince the wifey. We have a place to stay there.

Add to my list Dollywood and Lagoon but probably won't make those next year, I'm a realist.

I think I can edit my post from February after the success I had this season. I've bold-ed the parks I was able to visit in 2015. New parks to add to my bucket list (either cause they're new or I forgot before) I will italicize!

North America:

-Six Flags Great America

-Six Flags Over Texas

-Six Flags Fiesta Texas

-Silver Dollar City

Six Flags Mexico

Canada's Wonderland

La Ronde

Kennywood

-Kentucky Kingdom

-Holiday World

-Waldameer

Europe:

Liseberg

Europa Park

Holiday Park

Walibi Holland

Heide Park

Hansa Park

Phantasialand

Mirabilandia

PortAventura

Disneyland Paris

Alton Towers

Thrope Park

Kolmarden

Djurs Sommerland

Asia:

Tokyo Disneyland/Sea

Fuji-Q

Tobu Zoo

Lotte World

Everland

Ocean Park

Hong Kong Disneyland

Knight Valley

-Ferrari World

-Universal Studios Japan

-Nagashima Spaland

-Shanghai Disneyland

It's clear that I have been to nearly all of the major U.S. parks, but there's quite a few I will need to revisit soon (Lightning Rod... Valravn... Wicked Cyclone... etc.), but I definitely need to get to some of those European/Asian parks soon!

Dollywood

Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Efteling

Europa Park

Lotte World

Kennywood

These are all parks that I want to visit, not for a specific ride but for the overall experience. I have a list on my computer of roller coasters that are on my bucket list too.

Knocked off the two Texas parks this year and hopefully I'll get to Dollywood next year. I should try and get up to South Korea too, not sure how likely that is though.

Any good theme park in Europe (including a return visit to Europa Park), China, Australia, the UK and Japan (this could take a while)

SFOG

SFDK

SFGA (Chicago)

Silverwood

Six Flags Mexico

Now I just need to win the lottery.
