ratdogg68
Went to Kentucky Kingdom yesterday, with some friends from Amazon, the Park was PACKED. Every ride had a line, waited 2 1/2 hours for Lighting Run, it is a BLAST! Once you go over the Lift your outta your seat til you hit the Breaks. It's a very fast, smooth ride. Very nice Coaster for the New Kingdom. The Park in whole looks very nice, everything looks new again, the New Waterpark will look nice once they're finished landscaping. Can't wait to go back and try out Deep Water Dive. Almost bought some trunks yesterday to ride it, the line was very short, but it was only 65 degrees and cloudy for the most part. DoinItForTheFame
WOW! I never realized how awesome this park looks! Deep Water Dive looks like it would be a blast!! Fear-Fall would be fun, and Lighting Run looks like a blast! It's great to finally see riders enjoying Lighting Run! chargersmichael
I can see it being very hot once it warms up. There looks to be not a lot of shade with their new expansions. The water park especially. Those pathways will burn your feet!
megametal
I don't think there ever was much shade at Kentucky Kingdom. The new additions look fantastic, though. Park kinda reminds me of Carowinds the way it was in the 1990s.
KBrylczyk
Intamin and Mack need to watch their backs. The grandpappy of airtime machines has returned with a vengeance.

jedimaster1227
Great to see this park brought back to life. I was skeptical that we'd ever see it up and running again after Six Flags bailed... Serious props to Ed Hart for his persistence in bring Kentucky Kingdom back. I'm not sure it would've ever had another shot if it weren't for him. cfc
I'm looking forward to checking out this park during the TPR Mini New Hotness trip--especially Lightning Run. Thanks for the report.
firewalk13
Looks great, thanks for the TR! I'll get to check it out in July, yay!
mdwarn01
Besides the bit of landscaping left to do in the water park (unless they're going for the authentic beach look) and around Lightning Run, the park is looking amazing! I don't think it ever looked that good when Six Flags was operating it.
Midgetman82
Thanks for the report from your visit. Park looks pretty good, and I like the amount of new trees they planted. I definitely can't wait to check out the park on opening day!
Kyle Coleman
Park and especially lighting run are looking great. Really looking forward to try it out for myself in two weeks. Just hope a bit of the hype has died down a little as the thought of waiting two and a half hours is a little bit scary.
DoinItForTheFame
After looking at this photo... I really love how Fear Fall comes straight down to the ground and has no real "platform" Its really interesting to me!! No loading platform!! It looks awesome! Gnome
^ I really like the ARM drop towers. If the intamin towers had the immidiate drop like the ARM ones do, they'd be so much better
The Westate
This park looks brand new now! Â It looked terrible back in 2005 under Six Flags. Â Way to go KK!
coasterbill
This looks great. Hopefully we'll be able to check the place out in the next few years.
Diamondbacker27
Long Lines. Now we can start wondering what Ed will do next. For KK? Open up T2 (Rumored T3) What is she doing with her mouth?!
TheDarkMaxim
The use of chain link fences in multiple places isn't fantastic, but it doesn't look terrible.
A.J.
After looking at this photo... I really love how Fear Fall comes straight down to the ground and has no real "platform" Its really interesting to me!! Knoebels has the same setup with Stratosfear. I think it's because Fear Fall and Stratosfear are park models, so the bases of their "platforms" are actually several feet underground.
Dapalm
Nice TR. The parks looks really nice, the new owners seem to know what they are doing. Lightning Run is a very good addition, and, from what I've heard, season passes are pretty cheap. If they add some more shade it will be perfect. Always nice to see a park open again, wish them luck with it!
GayCoasterGuy
Great pictures. One friend who rode Lightning Run told me it's the new and improved mega lite. Interesting!
