S: UF lost its "Wiredness". Now, it isnt unique anymore, shame. Holiday park, BGW and now here, Why carnt parks make there own rides? Parks need to know that people dont want to ride a rollercoaster what is in 3 other parks, And when the park isnt as good, it will make less people want to visit.

Premier has a winner on their hands. Parks see that and of course they are going to want it. 99.99% of SFDK's guests will NEVER make it to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, let alone out of the country to Holiday Park, Bosque Magico etc...and vice-versa. I'm happy for Premier and I'm sure they will sell more of these LSM coasters. I see SF purchasing a couple more in the next 3-5 years.

Most people have no clue that there are more than one of a type of coasters and the few that do don't care as long as the ride is good!

 

This is such a big, different, interesting ride for Mexico.

I'd like to add it, but I also want my group and family to be and feel safe. We may offer it as an add on that we would do as a fly in/out day trip from Mexico City.

^Volaris and Interjet run amazing National flight specials all the time. Sometimes, flights from Tijuana to Mexico City (Tijuana is a 2 hour drive from my home), for around $100 each way!!!

 

I would assume that finding a flight from DF to Monterrey for cheap would not take too much work if you planned it in advance and are willing to use Mexican airlines (they're great, btw).

Nuevo Leon: Monterrey is a major city/travel destination in Nuevo Leon -Defer non-essential travel to the state of Nuevo Leon, except the metropolitan area of Monterrey where you should exercise caution. Although the level of TCO violence and general insecurity in Monterrey has decreased within the last 12 months, sporadic gun battles continue to occur in the greater Monterrey area. Adult entertainment establishments and casinos continue to be targets of TCO activity. TCOs have kidnapped, and in some cases murdered U.S. citizens, even when ransom demands are met. TCOs have been known to attack prisons and police stations, and have engaged in public shootouts with the military and between themselves. Pedestrians and innocent bystanders have been killed in these incidents. As a result of a Department of State assessment of the overall security situation, the Consulate General in Monterrey is a partially unaccompanied post with no minor dependents of USG personnel permitted. USG personnel serving at the U.S. Consulate General in Monterrey and their dependents may not frequent casinos, sportsbooks, or other gambling establishments. I've never been to Bosque Magico and would be hard-pressed to tell you where it is, and I've been to Monterrey at least 50 times by car or bus. Plaza Sesamo is right on the road from Monterrey to McAllen so I always had always assumed it was the only "real" park in town.

 

Unfortunately the drug wars have definitely taken their toll on Monterrey; downtown used to be vibrant and lively at night while today they roll up the streets at sundown (though one can still have a good time at night if you want). Violence there has tapered way off from 2010-2012 but those years definitely left an impression on the locals. While downtown Monterrey I like and always stay in but if you're uncomfortable in, say, certain parts of Mexico City or even Los Angeles I wouldn't recommend it. You'd be better staying in San Pedro Garza Garcia, which is, I believe, the wealthiest city in Latin America and pretty secure as the travel warning suggests (casinos I don't think are exactly quite legal but that's another matter). There are numerous hotels in San Pedro and it's like your in southern Europe, just with a Chili's around the corner.

 

There are lots of flights from Mexico City and San Antonio (and surely DFW and IAH too) though the airport is WAY out of town and even farther from San Pedro. Monterrey proper is industrial and doesn't have the touristy stuff of say Guadalajara or my new favorite Mexican city Mérida, though the mountains in the area are stunning. The wealthier parts of San Pedro creep up Chipinque mountain which is a green Appalachain-like forest that doubles as a city park.

Kind of a rather interesting update to this project, apparently the ride will do two full circuits according to this animation released by the park.

Well I think part of the reason they're making it 2 circuits, is so that they can have time to load the second train. If it went around just once, then the other train might not be ready.

Although I will say that its weird that the park hasn't done any teasing or at least announced a date for when it'll be announced!

^The reason I am just going to wait for BGWs announcement and try to put at least some kind of faith in BGW ....because having seen how BGT modified Sheikra to a floorless station and trains after Griffon, I think that we could see BGW implement changes for theirs in a similar fashion. I feel as though BGW could indeed build their ride with the dual station idea in mind that the ride could run two trains. However, they may wait until Bosque Magico's attraction opens first before they do so. OR, maybe the plans just include the basics of the ride and not any details as far two stations or what not.

Mr. Freeze(s) have a shorter ride cycle and longer trains than these Premier coasters, and it manages fine.

That would be cool if the 2nd cycle was taken at a different speed than the first...whether its faster or slower I don't really think matters, but it would be cool if the experience is changed up a bit the second time around.
