What Now
My Math Class was cut short because of the smoke. Of corse my house is closer to Chatsworth then Pierce is, so it is even smokier and ashier over here. What Fun!

Sir Clinksalot
The smoke is REALLY bad here in Woodland Hills now. Since my classroom is on the ground floor and the main entrance to the building is right near the entrance to my classroom it's REALLY bad. I'm hoping I get permission to end class early tonight. Sir Clinksalot
It is burning in Las Virgenes and Calabasas, mandatory evacuations are in effect for the Las Virgenes area and precautionary ones for Calabasas. There are ALOT of houses in danger right now and once it gets dark the helicopters and planes won't be able to fly. The freeways are all still open for the time being, but I expect them to close the Northbound side soon. Kristi "hopes Gregg gets to end class early too!" C. Sir Clinksalot
^&^^ This really isn't something to joke about. I understand trying to keep things light and all, but this fire is very dangerous and is really bad. Kristi "sorry, just upset that I have to go to work and drive through all this" C. Stitch
It seems we Americans just aren't getting lucky with nature this year. To all the members affected by this fire I only wish the best and hope you stay safe - Eric
Sir Clinksalot
I am at work and the smoke is so thick it is hard to breathe. Outside you can barely see anything and then inside the smoke is just hanging and you can see it. We are hoping to not have to be here all day, it is going to be really bad. The roads around us are closed, Kanan just closed again and Las Virgenes is closed also. There is still a chance of it hopping the freeway, however we are being optimistic. Kristi "so freaking glad it is Friday" C.
Hattuchili
Uh, very bad! Make some pictures, if you can? I have never seen a big fire in our city! However, I hope you´ll make it save back home! Is the fire near your house, too? I hope not! --Sören
Sir Clinksalot
Gregg took some pictures yesterday I think before the batteries died. No, the fire is not near our house thankfully, but it is near both of our jobs. The smoke is getting thick again and when you look outside it is just brown haze all over. Very unhealthy. Kristi "wanted to go out to get some fresh air..yeah that isn't happening" C.
ebl
I should post some pictures that my wife took from her West Hills office (same company Gregg works for). That fire was awfully close. In fact, LAFD was using the parking lot as a staging area for helicopters and other firefighting equipment. Eric
