Erik Johnson
I went to Islands of Adventure today and took some pictures of some of the things that have been put up for Halloween Horror Nights. HHN starts in 2 days and it still looks like they still have quite a bit more to do. Maybe they hide most of the stuff until HHN starts up. Anyways I am in the process of posting pictures, just keep coming back as I will continue to add more during the afternoon. I hope that this Photo TR gets Sharktums's stamp of approval. These guys are putting up a pretty cool banner for the upcoming HHN, which starts in 2 days. The adventures will begin in horror. These two attractions are closed because they are being transformed into HHN attractions. This is some sort of creepy stage near the front gates. They got a ton of these all over the front section of the park. So this is what they do to line jumpers, very nice!! "Hey Sam, does it look like I am gaining weight to you?" Is it the ice slide? Please post if you know. Maybe IOA is becoming like Walmart by putting out holiday decorations a month before Halloween. This looks like they are starting putting up some of the Christmas attractions. Unless this is a part of HHN. Here is a close up picture of the stage. Yummmy! Green Eggs and Ham, yes please! Onto the Jurassic area, of all the areas built for HHN, this area seems the most complete so far. How neat! They got one of those Intamin Hand Dryers. This attraction was quite intense. Ok, this is the best sign in the whole park. Maybe I should have not eaten those green eggs and ham. Still the best sign in the whole park. Come on, there has to be at least one coaster picture in this thread. Yes, its Fire Dragon of Dueling Dragons fame. Oh, I bet they come from those people who try to peak behind the drape over this sign. I wonder where they get the skulls for these stands. This is going to be a haunted house for HHN, it really does not look different from the outside. This was the first stand of merchandise I saw selling HHN items. Here is a picture of this year's logo for HHN. I think it kinda cool. IOA was not crowded at all today. Looks like either and entrance or exit to a scare zone in JP. Something evil and scary is going to be hooked up this this power cord I bet. This is going to be some sort of attraction for HHN, its located in the JP Discovery Center. They have these wooden structures all over the JP area. Some of them look like cages that are located on the sides of the sidewalks. Oh boy, I bet this area is going to be scary. Erik Johnson
More pictures, I hope you like pictures. I could not find a single item for HHN between the exit of the Jurassic area and the stage right next to the Marvel area. Oh boy! Lunch time! After today's visit I think Mythos really does deserve to be the #1 theme park place to eat in the world. Golden ticket awards, you listening? Don't go that way! What are they thinking? Ok, there is now two coaster pictures in this thread, that's the limit. Hope your happy now. So that's what they eat in Hell. I wonder who is going to be dancing on this stage. This area looks like its going to be themed as "Biker Chicks from Hell." That's fine by me. These guys really went out of their way to make the Balsamic Chicken for me. The service is top notch. My waiter, Robert, was great as well. Yes this is the staff that's going to be there for the Oct 20th meet. Mythos deserves #1. I wonder what Robb ate for lunch today. YUMMMY! Balsamic Chicken!!!!! But what I ordered has not been on the menu for a long time. The bottom part of the menu. This is the top part of the menu, yes its going to be the same until Oct 31. I commented on a previous TR that one of The Mummy's ride warning sign logos were all mixed up. Well, it looks like ALL the signs are mixed up. Again, unless fog effects make you barf. I want my Mummy. Ok that was a lame caption, sorry. AS you can see right outside the main gate of IOA there is no indication that HHN starts in 2 nights. Well, onto next door because..... This is the back. Here is a close up of the new All-You-Can Eat deal at both IOA/USO. If you stare too long at the wall tiles in Mythos's bathroom, they hypnotize you into buying some dessert. SharkTums
Um...not amused... Â My Tomato and Mozzarella Salad is no longer on the menu!?!?! Â That's it...now I know how Robb felt when they took the Balsamic Chicken off the menu....damn, they've totally destoyed the elissa & robb friendliness of that place now. DerekRx
Nice TR. I wonder what I'll have to eat on the 20th for lunch. Either Steak and mushroom sushi or the lobster stuffed potato. Oh, and the award winning clam chowder. I'm glad to see Mythos getting new food items, as for like the last 4 years its always been the same thing all the time. Glad they still are nice enough to make you stuff that isn't even on the menu anymore.

I'm sorry to hear this, I guess its better to know before the trip rather than finding out while sitting in a booth. Again I bet they can make it special for you. Erik Johnson
Ok onto the last section of the Photo TR. Look its a Elissa friendly maze! I wonder what these buttons are going to do. This was the Maze fence I took pictures of last week while I was at USO. Its going to be a part of HHN for IOA...I think. Thanks IOA/USO, it looks like HHN is going to be fun this year. Good old Comcast. Since quite a few of the studios are now HHN houses, they had to film outside. On my way out of USO I noticed that they were actually filming some kind of Television program. There are four of those buttons, I wonder if they are going to zap people.

robbalvey
Getting them to make Balsamic Chicken is hit or miss. If Chef "Mark" is there, and it's not a busy day, they will do it. Otherwise, it's pizza or pasta for me. Â --Robb "Bummed for Elissa that her cheesy tomatoes are no longer on the menu" Alvey

After Oct 31st I will check the menu to see if they add it back on. Its always a bummer when your favorite dish leaves the menu...or even your favorite place to eat. Dang maybe I should have left the menu off the TR. Sorry Elissa
Florida420
Hey Erik, just to let you know, that ice slide in Seuss Landing, is up year round (not in operation of course). At least it's always been there when I am. Â Hey wait :? Erik Johnson
^^ Thanks, I guess I never noticed it before, I usually take the Zax by-pass around the Suess area. But since I was looking for any HHN stuff, I took the long way around. Edited September 29, 2005 by Erik Johnson
Real
Um...not amused... My Tomato and Mozzarella Salad is no longer on the menu!?!?!  That's it...now I know how Robb felt when they took the Balsamic Chicken off the menu....damn, they've totally destoyed the elissa & robb friendliness of that place now.  They rotate stuff on the menu. When I was there this time last year (opening of HHN 14) there was NO Basalmic Chicken and I was VERY disappointed but still had something very good. Chances are Elissa, your stuff may make its way back on.
Meteornotes
OK, I've already seen the scariest thing for HHN: NO TOMATO & MOZZARELLA SALAD!!! Mythos had the BEST one EVER! AAAAAGGGGHHHH! Â OK, well, I still want to eat there though, as it's still the best place in the park. But I will miss that salad... Â dt
