The Giant Dipper and the Save the Coaster Committee

I am one of the clowns who climbed the coaster as a protest in 1981. My sister, Pamela Sue Whitner, Flutterby the Clown was the one who got arrested and had to do community service. I got down when the police came and got interviewed on the news. Flutterby was on the news waving from the back of the cop car. Pamela had been on the Save the Coaster Committee for years. She had a huge Clown wedding under the coaster in 1985 and we had her funeral on the beach in front of it in 2004. I thought I would share her tears of a clown video to connect her to your coaster history. Thanks! Cathy Whitner Smith
