azza29 Posted March 3, 2014 Share Posted March 3, 2014 Is there any major difference with Green Lantern compared to the other layouts, other than the trains? Layout is pretty similar, with a steeper first drop and slightly taller. I think the four-across train is the biggest differentiator. The "outside" seats give an excellent ride, much more intense than just sitting in the middle above the track. Because the train takes the inversions relatively slowly, the lack of shoulder restraints gives that great "oh crap I'm going to fall out" sensation (like the crawl at the top of a Maurer Söhne Skyloop). Maverick -- beyond-vertical drop, smooth ride, twists, abrupt airtime, launch, inversions: Maverick has it all 2. Millennium Force -- great drop, awesome speed, floater airtime, and a nice long ride 3. Top Thrill Dragster -- 120 MPH, 420 feet, lap bars only, need I say more? 4. X2 -- insane, just pure insane 5. Full Throttle -- awesome hangtime, great launches, and good positive Gs too 6. Xcelerator -- my favorite launch on any coaster, ever 7. Tatsu -- such a great flying sensation on a beautiful setting atop a mountain 8. Goliath -- excellent positive Gs, a great floater hill, and a nice drop 9. Desperado -- rough, out-of-control feeling with some powerful air at certain points 10. Its great to have an accurate coaster poll but......even with idiot's guides, drag and drop ballots etc. etc. this poll can be summed up as "Wall of text hits you for 8000 damage...... you die". Mitch needs to team with a GUI designer and make a easier ballot for everyone. Seems like only about 500 people vote because they open it, start reading the wall of text and decide to not bother. It's an elitist coaster poll because of the low voter numbers, but way more accurate than Golden Ticket and others for sure. I did not bother filling one out last year. I filled them out this year but not while thinking it could be done easier with a proper user interface. So go ahead and flame me. I'm not trying to be a butthole. Maybe I'm that dumb but from our stand point, I have no idea what can be overwhelming about it... I tried the "original" version before and that WAS difficult and time consuming for me, drag and drop is cake! Besides, isn't the point (kind of a little bit) to be a tad "elitist" to ensure people take it seriously? Better than GTA where we have no idea what they do, and it's clearly reputation/popularity contest. Don't get me wrong, it's not perfect. I don't like how all the Intamin mega lites are individually listed, (they are all the same correct?) and it kind of hogs spaces from other rides, makes sense to me to have "Favorite Intamin Mega Lite" as the option instead.
